Begin Log........
Flt Admiral Harsting had a hearing. To see rather or not Commander Radaik, now Captain Radaik, will be going through a court marshal.
I have given my testimony that there was no way that the USS Alliance could get away safely with the propulsion systems very badly damaged beyond repair.
After the meeting, I have to take a look around the main engineering of USS New York. To get myself familiarized with the engineering.

I have finished inspecting Main Engineering, engine support systems. shuttles and the shuttle bays, and other maintenance and support systems. They are up to speed and in top condition.
There are some more parameters that Lt Heath Malc would like for me to come up with for his security teams. I may have an idea about survival while stranded on a mission. May have to run it by Lt Malc to see what he thinks of the idea.
I am still glad to hear that Captain Radaik have been cleared. I have served under a lot of Captains in my life time and there only been a few that I find honorable. Captain Radaik being on that list of being honorable.
On a personal note, I have heard that my nephew, Thomas Kinsely, who will be turning 22 soon, will be graduating from Starfleet Marine Academy in a few months. He said that he is doing well and that couldn't wait until the family meets up again for another game of rugby or lacross. ::Could hear a chuckle in the background.:: Despite my age, I still have a lot in me.

I was able to finish another parameters for Lt Heath Malc. The idea of for this one, I would like to credited to General Weslynes. I've heard of this training mission and thought that another parameters could be done out of it. Of what I have heard about General Weslynes, that she is an excellent leader. Although I haven't meet her in person, but by what I have read and heard about her, I have already based my opinion that she is a great Marine leader and CnC.
I've had heard from my brother, Duncan Kinsely, that he is thinking about transfering to another ship. He haven't decided yet. Duncan was telling me of how proud he was that his son, Thomas, will be graduating from the Starfleet Marine Academy soon. Joining the Kinsely Marine family. Even two sons are appling to the Starfleet Marine Academy. I should be able to hear from them soon.

I've done several scans on various ship's systems and with the findings that everything is well underway. I did, though, have to check the transporters twice. There seemed to be a small malfuction in one of the conduits, but I was able to fix it.
It seemed that my engineering training that I have learned in the academy didn't go unnoticed by General Weslynes and Captain Radaik. Captain Radaik promoted me to the ranks of a Commissioned Officer, at Second Lt.
I just may personally thank General Weslynes for considering promoting me. I've already thank Captain Radaik for the promotion.
I've only got a chance to meet General Weslynes for a short time, before the mission, and she seems very wonderful Fleet General and person.
On a personal note, although my late wife, Maria, have passed away some months back, I am at a struggle between going out again or to remain single. There is a part of me that doesn't want to remain alone any more. I'm begining to lean more towards finding someone.

Begin Log.......
Lt. Heath Malc have came up to me to see if I could make 22 Emergency Transporter armbands ( 5 yellows, 5 green, 5 red, 5 blue, and 2 black ) for the X - Team as soon as possible. I will be working on these right away. Along with a special project of my own. Making an exoskeleton for the Marines as well for the Security teams. It would be best to make two different versions. One for the Marines and the other for the Security. It will take more time for me to finish this project, but I'm willing to take the load. I will be researching different models of the exoskeleton and try to come up with ideas or improvements on them. I do have some ideas of what I could use for the two different versions of the exoskeleton, but I need to work some details first.
But the Emergency Transporter armbands need to come first, though. Which I would do right away. The armbands need to be easily used. Especially during when there is a high electrical storm on the surface.

Lt Heath Malc have contacted me to tell me that the armbands were not needed. An issue to do with the safety protocals for the parameters. Since they are not needed at the moment, I'll go work on the exoskeleton project. I do have some ideas that I would like to work on. Hopefully General Weslynes would approve of the exoskeleton once it is complete.

Along with the exoskeleton suit project, I also have to make some transporter armbands, plus a few other things that are currently classified.
On a personal note, I was able to get into contact with my nephew, Thomas Kinsely. I have found out that he had made Private First Class and is assigned to USS Vindicator as a Combat Marine. I am very proud of him and I am sure that his father is too.

The exoskeleton suit project is complete and have sent a briefing to Fleet General Weslynes and Fleet Admiral Harsting about the description of the suit. I do hope that the project is approved.
On a personal note, after much decision with my own person love life.. if you call it that.. I do believe it is best not to seek anyone at this moment. I still need time to heal from the loose of my late wife, Maria. And also for fear that my heart will get broken. Even a Man does have feelings, some just have a hard time showing them at times. Especially some of us Kinsely men. ::He had smirked a bit.:: I just need to slow down before finding anyone at this time. To let my heart heal in time.

I was able to prepare engineering for the test that we had done. Lt Halc had asked me to place some stand by power for the shields and navigations. Which is what exactly what I have done. Once we have gotten there, we were approached by three attack drones. After some hits to the starboard side aft section of the ship, there were some few minor repairs. But I was stand corrected when the shields dramticly droped and intruders have beamed on board. Lt Malc was able to use the stand by power to reroute power to the aft section of the ship and repaired that section of the ship. Even with the routing of power, the shields was still at 32%. I only wished I could fixed the aft shields faster and bring the shields back up to 100%. This only means that I need to work harder at my job as Chief Engineer Officer and making sure that engineering is at 100%. If I could make it at 110%, I will. I see this test for me to make improvements on myself, to me a better engineer.

I've been going over the results of the test readings over the past few days to see what I can do to improve. What I could do this time, I'll make sure that there is enough power going into the shields and have not only one but two stand by power. Hopefully this would help increase the shields more than 40%. Also, making sure that there is enough valuable back up power for other important systems to the ship.
As for the exoskeleton suit, I have yet to receive word that it have been aproved. I'm sure they have much to think about before deciding to approve the suit.

I was able to get a transmission from my brother, First Lieutenant Duncan Kinsely. He had just told me that he had arrived on board the USS Terrasect as their Chief Engineer Officer and how worried his wife, Brenda, was. I would quite understand why she would be worried for him. I remember all too well with my late wife, Maria. Maria have always gaven me a lot of support, despite of how worried she was for me. If she was only alive today.

Second Lieutenant Justin Kinsely Chief Engineering Officer USS New York
Begin Log......
I was able to have some someone assigned to me in Main Engineering, Ensign Clara Marie, AENG. I definitely needed some help in Engineering since that I have some transporter issues that keeps on choosing me to pick on. Transporting me out of engineering at the wrong time. Just when I am needed.
I was able to bring up some more power to the shields and also reserve more in the emergency stand by. There so happened to be three intruders that was heading to main engineering. I was able to quickly bring up force field around engineering. When they have came to engineering, they tried to get through the force field. Ensign Maria had gave me a phaser, which I'm thankful she had given it to me, and placed it on high stun. I've tried to see if I could lock on the intruders' life signs to transport them to the brig, but like clock work, the transporters malfunction and I was transported out of there. But I was lucky enough to be transported some where else on the ship. As for where the intruders were at when the transporters malfunction, I have no idea if they were transported to the brig or not.
Damn transporters.. I really need to get them fixed.

Before we have launched from the base, I went ahead and checked the ship's systems. Which all seemed to be in excellent condition.
During the course of the mission, I've tried to maintain that there are some relative power in standby. Lt Montag had relay to me that one of the rear scanner arrays have disintegrated some. I was able to repair it back.

Chief Engineer Officer's personal log
Begin Log........
After my shift, I had to report to sickbay for my yearly physical check up. Something I'm not to fond of, but it is something that the Starfleet require for their Marines. Although my physical did report that I'm in good condition, but I assume that my previous injuries that I have required over the years as a Marine and also from boxing matches... ::chuckles a bit:: ...didn't show up for some reason. The Doctor did tell me to stay in good health. I've told her that I will try. Well, I almost did, but she had walked away to attend to another patient before I was able to finish the sentence.
Every since that Maria had died, I can't seem to come into grips to talk to other people, other than my own family. It could be me afraid to lose someone so close again, that I close up on topics that I once talked about oh so long ago. ::He sighed a bit as he thought about his late wife.:: But then again, it could be that hardly anyone wants to talk to an old Marine like me. ::He chuckles a bit.:: Either way, I still need to work myself up to get more acquainted with other people. In time, I will.
