Cargo/Shuttle Bay

[Kefira]

OOC> Posted in both Cargo Bay and Main Story Line.

Location> Main Engineering

She saw what the repair teams were doing and she did not like what she saw and felt the Engineer Chief should be aware of it. She walks away from the repair teams and taps her combadge. "Cadet Kefira to Chief Engineer La'ta'nm, come in Chief." She waits for a reply and got none. "Computer show me where Chief Engineer La'ta'nm is located at." She looked as the computer display his location and left Main Engineering.

Location> Cargo/Shuttle Bay

She finely arrives and enters the Bay. She had noticed movement and walked over to them seeing the Chief laying on the floor and quicken her steps. She knelled down beside him and raised his head into her lap caressing his bald head and one of his large ears. She looks up to them. "What did you do to this sweet little Ferengi?"

[Lt. Thelis]

"Cadet Kefira are you familiar with Ferengi biology, in particular their erogenous zones?" He gave her an amused look. "On the other hand, you're sure to make him much more 'comfortable' if you continue your ministrations when he comes to."

"Engineer La'ta'nM has been knocked unconscious by this ship's defense systems." He nodded in the direction of the culprit. "Medical has been alerted. Is there some reason you feel he requires your 'personal' care?" His mouth twitched, holding back the smile.

[Kefira]

"Of course. I do believe you are referring to these ear lobs here." Lowers her paw and gently rubs the lower part of the ear lob. "Let's just say if he was awake and a Caitian, he would be purring by now." She continued to rub his ear. "I had came to tell him that there were some changes going on with the ship, I felt he needed to know. I think he found out the hard way."

[Capt Grab Foot Of~Two Dawns]

"At this juncture, yes, Sir. Not because I believe that the proximity will make any difference but because it will allow us to directly observe cause and effect and hopefully, better control the outcome."

"Acknowledged, on my way." He said then stepped toward and into the TL as the doors opened. He looked at Buford, wondering if he is going to go with him or stay put. Either way, he gave his destion to the TL computer "Main Shuttle Bay."

A few moments later, the TL deposited him in the shuttle bay. He stepped out to a curious scene. His shuttle sitting next to one of the Terrasect's shuttles. Thelis standing there looking at Kefira who is kneeled down with Engineer Lat's head in her lap. What he noticed more is the rubbing of his ear lobe and she saying something changes to the ship? "What changes to what ship?" He inquired of the young Cadet as he approached the small group. Again he noticed the ear lobe rub, his whiskers twitching a bit "Cadet, I don't mean to stick my tail in your private affairs but I presume the ear lobe rub can wait until you're off duty and in private settings?"

He then looked down at the sleeping Engineering Chief "No sleeping on duty, Lieutenant or I shall be subtract your pay for every minute you are alseep." He said in a loud enough voice to Lat would hear him, even in sleep

[Lt Buford B. Hound]

He followed the Captain, keeping the scan of him going, as stood in the Turbo lift with the Captain

Buford exited the turbo lift, and looked at what was going, He looked at Kefira who was rubbing Lat's ear lobe, he looked over at Thelis, then the Captain spoke to Kefira all of a sudden Buford Howled when the Captain yelled at Lat, Buford's ears were pulled down tight, when the Captain was done "Sorry Sir it caught me off guard" he then sent the Data on the Captains scans to Thelis

As he waited for a response from either Lat or Kefira, he heard a howl from close by. What made it worse is that the Cargo bay is one of the accoustic centers of the ship. Meaning, it echoed

Slapping his ears against his head, he snapped his head over towards Bufurd, at the same time the craft jumps as if it had been startled. Buford's ears were lowered, as if he were apologizing both verbally and physically. His tail snapped a couple times "If you wish to howl at the moon, Mr. Hound, make sure there is a moon to howl at first." He said with a slight growl, and a groan in the tone of his voice

[Lt. Thelis]

Thelis grimaced at the howl and jumped himself as if he'd been stung, when the ship moved as well.

"That wasn't precisely what I had in mind Captain but nonetheless you've put your finger on the current problem. It's clear that the neural link is stabilizing but it seems it will take longer for you to learn to control your involuntary responses. I'm very happy you only jumped in response to the lieutenant's howl and didn't unsheath your claws." He added tugging his uniform back into place.

[Commander Crio Ijoula]

Crio would step out of the turbolift on the main shuttlebay deck, and make his way there, still admittedly in very modest, leisure attire. Moments later, he would step into the shuttlebay, with a bit of apprehension, thinking that the device they brought back with them was in there too...

Having seen first-hand the results of what it can do, he did not like being near it without a phaser in hand, set on a high setting...

[Lt. Thelis]

He looked up at GrabFoot again. "You don't suffer from any allergies do you? I'm not sure what reaction a sneeze would provoke in this thing." He smiled, trying to keep the conversation light.

The lift doors opened again. This is getting to be quite the soiree, he thought as the XO entered, still in leave attire.

"Welcome back. Commander. Would you care to join in our little party?"

[Kefira]

She softly put La'ta'nM's head down and stands up. "Sir I was trying to wake from his terrible ordeal. I was in Main Engineering when the Repair Teams started working on the repairs. I watched them to try to learn something but it appeared they were installing a new computer. I had never seen one like this before and if it was alive I could say I could hear it's heart beating, Sir. I came down here to inform the Chief of what was going on and if he knew anything about it." Thinking she heard something from La'ta'nM she turned her head to face him.

[Commander Crio Ijoula]

He would nod in acknowledgement to Thelis, and look toward everyone else there. If a Betazoid was present, the fear that he was trying to hide would be quite evident. He also had a very, perhaps overly healthy respect for the weaponry that little device packed.

"Party??" he said with reserved caution. "Unless this is a science party, I don't see anything that says 'party' here."

He was still very cautious with regards to the drone they picked up, especially after nearly being attacked by one on the Jackson that, thankfully, was almost out of power.

From the drone being examined in the shuttle bay, he kept his distance, out of fear that it might spring to life.

"With regard to that drone, lieutenant, you're far more adventurous than I am, especially after what I saw on the Jackson."

[Lt Buford B. Hound]

Buford looked at Grabfoot and his tail waged at the howling at the moon comment, he then saw the XO enter, he listened to everyone as they said their their peace.

He then lifted his ears in a surprise, then his face showed concerned he looked at Grabfoot "Sir Iz know yall were checked by the Doctor, but yall should get checked again, to make sure this thing will come back out"

[Lt. Thelis]

"A party Commander, as in a group or gathering, not necessarily a celebratory one. Our experiments began with only two and now there are six of us present and I must say that it has been quite enlightening so far. We are beginning to determine the extent of the connection between the Captain and this ship and yes you could say I'm adventurous. There aren't many I think who could get away with physically assaulting the Captain in the name of science." He grinned slightly and made a flicking gesture with his finger.

OOC: I know I'm slow in posting.. Allergies

He turned to Thelis as he spoke again, humor in his tone as he spoke of any allergies he may have and how it may set off the craft's offensive systems "I have no allergies that I know of, Lt. Although there are many planets I have yet to explore. I am sure that I will be allergic to something and then we will know." His tail spiraled in humor

He turned to Kefira as she spoke, seeing now that she is standing "I know you were trying to wake him, Cadet, but the way you were trying to wake him." He lowered his voice so that only her feline ears can pick up I know a Ferengi's ears are an erogenous zone, so he would have woken up a bit stimulated in such a way that I would not want to see. As far as the repair teams, I was not notified they would be installing a new computer, much less a living breathing one. Star fleet is not at the level of technology to create living computers." Unless you count Data

He heard the 'Party" comments from Thelis and Ijoula, and could smell the fear and nervousness coming from his XO "There is no need to fear the craft, Commander. It.." Slight pause "..He will not harm us unless he is attacked first. We shouldn't fear a change to learn from the craft just as he can learn from us."

He turned back to Buford, his whiskers twitching in annoyance, not at him, but more at the missing doctor "I would not object to the doctor examining me again, but it would help if she were here to do so. It seems that she has gotten lost." He then spiraled his tail "Perhaps we can use your canine skills to find her again?"

His tail remained spiraled as heard Thelis' last comments, especially about the "assaulting" of the Captain

[Lt Buford B. Hound]

Buford was listing to the Captain, then the Captain lowered his voice so only Kefira could hear him, he made no reply to what the Captain said

He was a little confused on the party comment, but he could smell fear and nervousness coming from the XO, and hear the Confidence and concern of Thelis

When the Captain turned back to him he could see the Captains whiskers twitching in annoyance, when he said it seems the Doctor got lost and he could use Buford's canine skills to fine her

He wags his tail, and taps his nose "Iz can sniff her out with my big schnozzle" his tail wags faster "The Nose knows"
