"Thank you, Lt.Hound." He cut the comm.
"I don't see anything here that resembles an access panel and with the skin resistant to scans, I'm beginning to think that Buford was correct, maybe it can only be opened remotely; however, it's power levels are still depleted, it's possible too that it this is a defense mode to protect itself. Have you been able to find any chink in it's armor yet?"
Thelis reached over and laid a hand against the ship's hull, then experimentally flicked it with his thumb and forefinger.

Thelis leaned close to the ship and listened. "I do hear something like a low hum."
He flicked the hull again, this time with a little more force, and listened to find out if something could be heard from inside. He didn't know what, if anything, he expected; maybe just the confirmation that it could react in some way that could be anticipated and that made it less of an enigma.

If Thelis, or Lat, would actually touch the surface of the ship. The surface would feel warm to the touch, as if touching a living entity
As soon as Thelis flicks the skin of the ship a second time, the vessel would actually jump, not simply up and down but away from Thelis, landing a couple feet away, narrowly missing running into another shuttle
The ship mimicked the same reaction as the captain done up on the bridge as he felt the flick for the second time

When the ship moved, Thelis did too, jumping backward and automatically reaching for a weapon before realizing he wasn't carrying one. When it came to a stop, he watched it carefully and tapped his commbadge.
"Lt Thelis to Lt Hound. The ship just moved about two feet from it's former position but there was no obvious sign of propulsion. I did touch it; flicked it with my finger. It's possible that might have been the reason for it's reflexive movement."

OOC:: POSTED ON INTO THE UNKNOW AS WELL
Buford listened to the captain as he spoke, his eyes widen when he heard, "I am coming to the conclusion that the link to the chip is multi-directional, meaning it comes and goes from the ship to my brain." he felt like he was being talked down too, but said nothing thinking its from the implant
He noticed the Captain looking someone The Captain then replied "I thought there have been someone behind me but it is apparent that no one is there."
He was watching the Grabfoot seeing his body actions Grabfoot then said "Walk with me, Lt. I don't feel like just standing here on the bridge. I'm sure those two will be careful. If they do anything to the ship that would cause me injury, I will be the first to let them know."
Just as he reached the Turbolift, Grabfoot spun around, jumping to his left, he was growling, and looked ready to strike Buford seen Grabfoot's whiskers quivering then his tail spiraled a bit.
Buford was about to speak when his com went off, and Thelis said "Lt Thelis to Lt Hound. The ship just moved about two feet from it's former position but there was no obvious sign of propulsion. I did touch it; flicked it with my finger. It's possible that might have been the reason for it's reflexive movement."
Buford Tapped his Com "That their make sense The Captain Jumped 2 feet, and looked for someone who touched him, earlier he thought someone touched him as well" he reports

The implications of what Lt.Hound was proposing had only just begun to sink in when he Captain's voice cut in on another channel.
"Lt Thelis, Are you having fun flicking the hull of the ship or is this your idea of establishing how the ship works? Also, who's idea was it to report to Lt Hound and not myself?"
"In truth, yes Sir, it was my way of figuring out how the ship worked. I might have given it a kick."
The laughter in his voice died quickly as he cleared his throat and continued explaining.
" We've been unable to scan the ship. The hull absorbs any scan directed at it. I decided to see if it would respond to a physical touch. A method that we can now confirm, has been effective in establishing the extent of the neural connection between you and it."
Some amusement crept back into his voice as he considered his luck in not having chosen a more sensitive place to test.
"Lt.Hound was asked to monitor you while we performed our examination and had you been injured or incapacitated, it would have been necessary for him to let us know immediately."

He was Ferengi though not like most he was emjoying watching and Listeningto the Goings on he gave a chuckle followed by a laugh. as he tapped the Open Channel. "uhm Captain? Sorry to interupt the fun and all" A smile crossed his face that truely brought out the Ferengi in him "Perhaps yas could open this thing for us? perhaps if yas Told it to grant us Access? Ya See Sir if I remember Correctly this is simular to an incident reported in the Voyager logs from the Delta Quadrant a LT Someone or other found a vessel that worked on a Nueral net suit instead on an implant but i am thinking the same thing applies."

Posted from the bridge/Main Story
He stood there on the bridge, looking at Buford, but his attention is on Buford's comm badge, As he listened to Lt Thelis, in the cargo bay with the ship he and the Chief Engineer is looking over. He grunted as he commented as he could have kicked it, instead of flicking it with his finger. He took note of the humor in his voice before he got serious again "You could have, but that may be assumed that is an attack on the ship and a more stronger reaction would be given." Which he thought could pose a danger to him or Thelis, or even the ship again
" We've been unable to scan the ship. The hull absorbs any scan directed at it. I decided to see if it would respond to a physical touch. A method that we can now confirm, has been effective in establishing the extent of the neural connection between you and it."
He nods, hearing Thelis making that report, which he already knew of the neuro-link but what surprised him is how strong the link is. What the ship feels, he would feel also. That might prove to be a complication, if he can't figure out how to turn that particular feature off
"Lt.Hound was asked to monitor you while we performed our examination and had you been injured or incapacitated, it would have been necessary for him to let us know immediately."
His whiskers twitched as he was informed that Hound was asked to monitor him, which would mean he would be followed around like a little puppy dog ( forgive the pun, couldn't resist ). He thought the computer could have been asked to monitor his vitals and was about to tell Thelis that when he heard laughter in the back ground. He assumed that would have been his Chief Engineer
He listened as he spoke up, his brow raising as he asked for pardons for interrupting the fun. Fun? Hardly. He went on to listen to his request to see if he can't open the back hatch on the craft, then mentioned something about an incident with Voyager. He knew nothing about that
"Remind me to look up the incident when I have a moment of time. As far as asking the craft to open up to reveal it's secrets, I shall see what I can do to make it so."
He thought about the craft opening it's hatch in the back, even envisioning the hatch opening in his mind

At Captain Two Dawns thought and visual command to open up, the craft simply sits there, not moving, trying to blend in with the other shuttles

Thelis watched the craft. He hoped it wouldn't start jumping about again. It was rather too indiscriminate in it's landings for his comfort. There had been no response as yet, and he tapped his commbadge.
"Captain, will you let us know when you've begun?"

At Thelis' question and annoyed groan is heard and a thump, like something hit the deck. namely his tail
"Ccertainnly Lieutenant. I have began when my last message had been made. I assume that nothing has happened since then?"

The frustrated thump of the Captain's tail was easily heard through the link.
"Nothing observed, Sir. Would you like us to continue with a visual inspection? Perhaps the door is simply faced away from us." He offered.

He came around a corner of the vessel shaking his head,he spoke so only Thelis could hear "Been all around this thing nothing happened. Could we be dealing with a sort of Hmn" pause as he raised one hand to his chin crossed the other hand over his chest Thinking. Looked to Thelis again Lat appreciated science but onlyto the point at which it directly served technological advancement and its practical uses. Science for science sake was a watse to him but, he liked Thelis his smile as much said so. "Perhaps it awaits the Captain to come and open it himself? Sometimes with engineering if one is to save a ship you must throw caution to the wind risk your all so to speak. Now I am not suggesting we throw the Captain to the in the middle of a storm here but Sometimes you have to set the Note PADDSand Science journals away and experience things on a personal level." When he spoke of the PADDS he took the one Thelis had and slid it in his pocket. "I think a lot of your talents Sir If I ever need to work on the warp drive again would be honoured if you could help but, realy To much Science not enough action" the last he gave a bigger smile so he knew it was not meant as an insult.

"Science is far from the dry and technical, engineer." Thelis returned the smile and made a sweeping gesture with his arm, as he indicated the ship. "Imagine what would happen for example if the Captain came down here and managed to open this thing. You begin experimentally poking about and, through no particular fault of your own, a relay activates and our Captain has a seizure. I'm all in favor of action, but with appropriate circumspection. Before we invite the Captain to join us, do we have sufficient cause to believe that bringing him closer will make any difference? With the neural link, distance shouldn't be a factor."

He looks at the Captain when he heard his annoyed groan and tail thump the floor"Easy Sir, the ship might might respond to y'alls mood" he says
He hears Thelis reply and tilts his head "Maybe y'all need to be near the ship, its hard to say what that implant can do, the ship might respond to y'alls Bio touch" he adds
