"Shift ended and I returned to my quarters. I slept for a few hours but then was woken up by the baby's kicking. I went to five forward, for a while to relax and spend time with friends. Before I knew it, it was time to get back to work. The visiting Riov was with the children when I entered sickbay. It was....interesting...no thats that the right word, almost disturbing how she talked to the child about how they would avenge the childs parents death. In betazoid culture we would not tell our children this, but I will continue to talk with the children, and try to understand their culture more."

All seemed to be quiet. The children were returned to their homes on romulas. I was glad to see them find their way home again, but I will miss the liveliness that they brought to sickbay. Everything is up to date in sickbay, but I suspect that we might need to be resupplied with some medications with in the next month. Its been a long time since we were in federation space and I was able to get my hands on federation medicine. Some of which i can replicate, but others are too difficult to replicate. In the mean time, we are heading to another battle. My AMO is preparing to be a field medic, normally I would go down, but seeing as I am 9 months pregnant I'm not allowed on dangerous away missions. Makes me feel a bit cooped up. As she is preparing to leave I am preparing sickbay for any incoming casualties, we will be ready and waiting as always.

I'm happy to announce that today i gave birth to my beautiful baby girl, Adria Karina. We stayed in sickbay over night to make sure everything was fine. I will be taking a few days off to recover and aclimate my daughter to her new surroundings. I know my AMO will do an excellent job in my charge. She did a wonderful job during my delivery.

I thought I would have a few days off, but it will have to wait, we are now at red alert, and even though i have had the baby I am not allowed to join the away team. I will be in sickbay superiving as the teams go out to different parts of the ship and coordinating the action in sickbay as well as treating paitents. I find with all red alerts i have become even more awake and alert, the adreniline must be flowing. I wonder where that was when i gave birth a few hours ago.

While our battle was sucessful in a win, it produced many injuries, especially to people in security and engineering. Nothing too major, just a large number of people wouned. I have just been called to the transporter room. My AMO took a hit. I will be going down to treat her myself. Its the least I can do.

We had shore leave today, where i was able to introduce Adria to everyone in ten forward. After some loud disruptions from our klingon officer, i cant remember his name, I took Adria back to our quarters where we both fell asleep for a nap. It was good to relax for the day after all of the business.

We held a Dinner on board for the new ship in the fleet. It was a very pleasent affair. Untill the klingon ToQ decided to drink blood wine. Honestly, blood wine has to be the most alchoholic drink ever. I was prepared to give him a tranquilizer to settle him down, but didnt have to when he left on his own. The captain was not happy with his actions.

No time to give this log. We have just been majorly hit. I expect wounded to begin coming in immediatly. so much for an easy escort mission. Plus I have just heard the intruder signal given. I am arming every nurse and doctor with a phaser. I just hope we wont have to use them.

With some down time today, I had the chance to audition for the XO position. It was a great oppertunity. Ive been a doctor for a long time now. I feel I could do this job. It would certainly be an interesting change. And If I dont get it, I know I will be just as happy in sickbay.

Computer Begin Log Authorization Anarra Five Delta.
I was promoted today to Lt. Commander. It felt very rewarding to feel like I am doing good work. I am also still being considered for XO. It would be a great oppertunity for my career. And I believe I am ready for it.
On the sickbay side of things, we handled several injuries after being in a small battle. None were major, a few broken bones here and there and burns, but mostly just bumps and bruises. None that had to be kept over night.

I got the oppertunity to serve on the bridge today. I was being tested as the XO. I dont know how the captain thought I did yet. I hope I did well. It was an interesting day, I ended up ordering a ship destroyed.
Ive looked over the records from sickbay, and it looks like my AMO did a wonderful job. If i do get the XO position, I will be recomending her to become CMO, and to have her rank be upgraded to Lt. JG.

Computer Begn CMO's Log Authorization Anarra Five Delta
My shift on the bridge has continued. We came under attack when we were almost to the penal colony. I tried to destroy the ships and keep extra shielding up around the prisinor, but to no avail. The kept hitting our shields. Eventually I just had to make a run for it since we were the faster ship. I got the prisinors transported to the penal colony. Then made for the fastest time possible to get out of there. We are now headed back toward romulas till we get further orders.
I have also come down to check on the captain, shes unconcious, but doing fine. She just recieved a minor head injury and should be up and about in a few days. Although once she wakes up she will not be happy to be in sickbay.
I have met our new SO, an interesting human male. Deffinitly has a sense of humor, though I'm not sure it was quite needed at times. I look forward to getting to know him more.
On a more personal note. Mark has been transferred to a new ship, the USS BattleCry, its a more tactical ship. He will be their new head of their fighter group. I know he will be happy there, but I will miss him dearly. I look forward to our time off when we can go on vacation. In the meantime Adria is doing wonderful, she is now 3 months old and getting bigger every day.

I had the oppertunity today to view a very special ceremony. The romulan rank ceremony, which raised Taev Tecaz in rank. It was very interesting to see. I'm always amazed at the new things that I learn about romulans and their culture. We should be hearing soon about our next mission. I wonder if we will be heading back to federation space soon...I'm beginning to miss it. Especially when it means faster communication from Mark.
On a side note I have found a babysitter. Thank goodness!

I started the shift in sickbay checking the previous shifts padds, and duty logs, I then observed Dan'lia with paitents. It was at that time that I was called to the bridge to serve as Acting XO.
