He heard the Captain start the meeting by welcoming everyone back and he thought he should include himself as well. He was glad to see Captain Harsting back in the Command Chair, even though he felt like he was in Command of the Terrasect every since everything went wrong with the Asteroid. Course, Commander Grant done a fairly good job, especially against the ship of lizards
As he came on the bridge, he did notice it was the same but somehow different. He didn't have time to look over the differances as he headed from the Turbo Lift to the Observation Lounge
The Captain smirked as he said something mildly humorous then his eyes fell on him and his demeanor suddenly changed, became more stern. His ears perked up and his eyes widened slightly as he told him, "Front and center immediately."
His whiskers twitched, giving a slightly annoyed look towards Captain Harsting. As he sensed this was ship's business, he thought the Captain knew to use his full name, as it seemed more formal and professional. The look passed a moment later, as he stood, thinking that he as going to get reprimanded for letting the ship get in such a bad state, but he didnt think it should have been done with the rest of the crew present, and walked over to stand in front of Captain Harsting, standing in a formal At Attention stance

He maintained his stern look, as if he were angry. "Commander, I have reviewed the logs of the Terrasect from the previous mission where the Terrasect was nearly destroyed. It seems, for much of the time, you were forced to command the bridge, and thus the Terrasect. I have found your performance exemplary." He smirked. "I'm not sure if I could have held it together quite as well as you did under pressure. I have consulted with Field Marshal Weslynes, and as such, I have decided to promote you to the rank of Full Commander as Executive Officer of the Terrasect. So, Lieutenant Commander Grabfoot Of~Two Dawns, by the power vested and authorized by Starfleet Command and the United Forces Fleet Command, I hereby promote you to the rank of Commander, with all of the priveleges and responsibilities thereof, for displaying excellent Command Proficency against near unsurmountable odds." He then pulled from the desk a pip to replace his dark pip, removing the old one and placing the new one it it's place. "Congratulations, Commander." Jim then saluted him.

He stood there in front of the Captain, standing formally, listening as he started speaking to him "Commander, I have reviewed the logs of the Terrasect from the previous mission where the Terrasect was nearly destroyed. It seems, for much of the time, you were forced to command the bridge, and thus the Terrasect. I have found your performance exemplary."
He waited for the Verbal cuffing he was sure to get for the state of the Terrasect when it limped into port. He smelled Anger from the Captain, but in a sense it was not real anger but more of a show, an outward appearance to make him and anyone else look like he was angry. The verbal cuffing he was sure of getting never came. The Captain's expression softened into another smirk, continuing with "I'm not sure if I could have held it together quite as well as you did under pressure. I have consulted with Field Marshal Weslynes, and as such, I have decided to promote you to the rank of Full Commander as Executive Officer of the Terrasect. So, Lieutenant Commander Grab Foot Of~Two Dawns, by the power vested and authorized by StarFleet Command and the United Forces Fleet Command, I hereby promote you to the rank of Commander, with all of the privileges and responsibilities thereof, for displaying excellent Command Proficiency against near insurmountable odds."
His ears flicked back in surprise, his tail stiffening as the Captain reached for the dark pip on his uniform, taking it off and replacing it with the pip that showed him to be a full commander
"Congratulations, Commander." He then received a salute from the Captain It took him a moment to find his voice and for his tail to relax. He returned the salute the Captain gave him with one of his own "Thannk you, Ccaptainn. I onnly donne what I feel that nneeded to be donne.. As perr yourr orrderrs"
He gave an amused look at the last part

Jim nodded, motioning to the XO's seat on his right. "Please have a seat, Commander." He then turned to the other crew. "Lieutenant Samek is still in engineering, going over final checks before we take off shortly. He will not be joining us, but has been fully briefed on our mission."
"Now that the good news is finished off, onto mission information. The USS Tudiculate, the newest Terrasect Class vessel commissioned by Starfleet and attached to the main fleet, has taken over our role temporarily at Indri Omega 3. Captian Nickles has overseen the installation of 300 Starfleet Security and Engineers at the new base."
He paused, taking a sip of water that was sitting down at the seat. Clearing his throat, he continued.
"Excuse me. Sorry about that. Now, we are scheduled to meet up with them to take over Administration and Coordination of these forces. Making our jobs easier, a treaty with the Klingons will allow us to take a shortcut through Klingon Space to Indri Omega 3. Loaded onboard is phase two of the creation of this new Outpost."
He paused for a moment. "For those not up to speed on Indri Omega 3, Indri Omega 3 is located in the Beta Quadrant, nearly 12 light years from the edge of Klingon Territory in territorially neutral space. The Indri Omega 3 colony is being placed on a neutral planet, which will eventually create it's own form of self government upon it's completion. Starfleet has agreed to administer the construction phase of colony with assurance that a scientific orbital starbase may be placed in orbit of Indri Omega 3's third moon within the next 15 years."
"We have taken on nearly 1,000 persons for this mission, including 500 civilians, several of which are construction crews , scientists, and their families. We also took on an additional 100 marines and a Naval Commander, one Commander Stephen Neil, who will be taking over overseeing the establishment of the colony, and will act like a liason to the Terrasect. Also going are nearly 400 other starfleet personnel and their families who are going to be assisting the civilian population. We are carrying 2 industrial replicators, four runabouts, and 16 other support craft for moving large items. Also, most of our cargo bays are full of rations, replicators, personal affects, etc."
He looked then to Buford. "Considering the Terrasect is loaded almost to capacity, Lieutenant, you are going to have to watch the new drive systems. There may be drift, as you know, since most of the systems have been overhauled and replaced."
He then looked to Jadzia. "Lieutenant, I will need you to make sure the shielding and structural integrity fields are at full capacity. I objected to having this much mass on the Terrasect at once, but technically, the space frame should be able to handle it. Just watch it.
His eyes moved to Mr. Zebdiel. "Security will need to be tightened in our holds. I don't want any unauthorized personnel near them."
"Doctor, you will need to keep on your toes with all of the extra crew. There are a few Starfleet Doctors onboard that are technically considered on leave, however, if needed, you can put them in auxillary sickbays if you get overloaded."
"Any questions?"
OOC Comment: Me and Mr. Grabfoot will be reviewing people for other promotions to be held in sim if required. Stay tuned. ^.^

As he took his seat to the Captain's right, in the XO's chair, he heard Buford clapping and congratulating him on his promotion to full Commander and his ascension into the First Officer's chair, and not just in an acting role.
Now, he is the First Officer, just like he should have been in the fist place, he thought But, Grant had attained the position before him, as the Captain felt he was the right man for the job
He gave Buford an amused glance as his little outburst, then turned back to the Captain as he started to lay out the mission that is to come:
"Now that the good news is finished off, onto mission information. The USS Tudiculate, the newest Terrasect Class vessel commissioned by Starfleet and attached to the main fleet, has taken over our role temporarily at Indri Omega 3. Captian Nickles has overseen the installation of 300 Starfleet Security and Engineers at the new base."
He paused, to take a sip of water that was sitting in front of him as he developed a dryness in his throught, he assumed. He then continued

He trned to glance at each officer as Jim turned to speak to the individually, advising them what they should be doing or preparing to do
As the captain asked if anyone had any questions, he shook his head no, then turned to look at Jadzia "You mmay nneed to rrecalibrrate the tarrgeting ssenorrss and the automaticc locking mechanissmss" he paused then added as well as the timminng for the automaticc lock on since everything has been over hauled" as Harsting expressed

He watches Grab Foot take the XO's seat, he didn't have to sense anything as Grab Foot gave him an amused glance, He raised his ears then saw Grab Foot turned back to the Captain as he started to lay out the mission that is to come.
Listing to the Captain as he spoke, the Captain then turned to him "Considering the Terrasect is loaded almost to capacity, Lieutenant, you are going to have to watch the new drive systems. There may be drift, as you know, since most of the systems have been overhauled and replaced." he said
He looked at the Captain "Yes Sir! piece of pie" he listened to the rest of the meeting then the Captain asked if their were any Questions
After Grab Foot spoke to Jadzia "None Sir" he replies

James listened to the Captain and was surprised that Grabfoot was promoted. Thinking that Security Chief Grant was no longer the Security Chief was because he was going to be promoted to First Officer and that is why he had to go though all that extra training and meetings to be where he is now. Then he thought again that maybe Grant did get promoted and now serves upon another ship. Hearing his named called out he turned his attention back to the Captain and listened to his orders. His orders were clear and thought he would have to call a meeting before we got too far into the mission. He hopped that he could get the meeting finished before the ship sailed but then again he might be needed on the Bridge by a certain Lieutenant that was at Tactical earlier. "Understood Sir."

She watched the promotion ceremony and was happy for her new found friend. Who she felt, should have the post since he was acting as the CO while Grant stayed in his ready ready mourning for the loss of his queen, as if she had died. He paid her no tribute by his actions, boarding on bring shame to her name.
After he gave the mission briefing she listened as each officer was given specific instructions. She felt he was very precise and focused, qualities she felt was important for a leader. She began to feel more at ease.

Samek was in main engineering. He was currently working on the last computer connection to the repaired systems, inserting isolinear chips into the primary command system buffer. The lights in engineering dimmed for only a second, as the last chip was put in place, and brightened again as all of the consoles came online simulataneously. He stood, then, replacing the cover over the exposed innards of the computer system, and then moved to the diagnostic center. He initiated a checksum and memory and processor system check, as well as a command pathway optimization routine.
He then moved to another console, looking over the computer system readouts.

Samek then moved to to the center console in front of the core, and initiated the anti-matter reactor of the Warp Core, priming the systems. Just a few seconds later, the Warp Core came online, and diagnostic information began pouring out onto the consoles screen. Samek read it, as the Magnetic Constrictors lit up, blue and red, streams meeting eachother in the middle.
He then picked up a PADD, and downloaded the information, heading then to the Turbolift. "Observation Lounge." Samek spoke, the computer responding with an acknowledgement tone as the doors closed and the Turbolift headed then towards the top-most part of the ship, where the Observation lounge was situated.
Moments later, he exited the Turbolift directly in the Observation Lounge. He brought the PADD to Jim just after James Zebdiel responded to the captain. "Warp Core and all systems are now online, Captain." He spoke in his even, almost monotenous voice.

She listened to Lt Samek knowing nothing about engineering she had nothing to say to him. She then added her report.
"Medical facilities on the Terrasect are fully functioning thanks to Lt Samek, and all of our needed supplies have arrived. Medical is ready."

He listened in as the reports came in to the Captain then when the meeting was adjourned after the Captain said there would be another promotion ceremony once the ship is underway in the Three Foward Lounge, he got up and left the Observation Lounge
As he stepped out, another door slip open to his right and he looked through it. His ears flicked back in surprise when he read what wasin the corridor beyond "XO's Rready Rroomm"? he questioned himself "Interresstinng that I sshould have mmy ownn Rready Rroom" he said to himself and thinks of the perfect person to invite inside as his first visitor, but not at this time
He then turned and walked past the Engineering station and into the command area of the bridge, pausing to see Bufrod admiring the new Helm console. His tail spiraled at the sight then casually asked the canine officer "Quite immprressive, issn't it, Lt"?
He waited for his answer
