After a few minutes a man and woman walked into the room. So far none of the Artifacts employees knew who they were. Both of them walked to the head of the table.
Hello everyone. If I may have your attention. I'm Robert Jaris, and this is Ann Brooks. We're here to make sure the colony gets its start and that the objectives of Artifacts Inc are understood. Making sure Thales is ready for you, has already been accomplished. And the last of the supplies is on its way as we speak."
"It is the belief of Artifacts that once you understand the objectives, and the few mandatory, lets call them statues. The rest is up to you. It is your colony, your world, so it must reflect who you are. Even the few wildlife we have observed has not been given names, nor has any of the planet life etc."
He paused then looked around the room to see if anyone had any questions so far.

He sees the Doc enter hugging her PADD to her middle "Hey, no your not late" he could see the blood stain on her but said nothing its her job to help people "We haven't even stated yet""Oh good!" She gave a slightly embarissed smile, seeing that almost everyone had noticed the stain on her top. A scarlet letter would have been less obvious. "I was afraid I was going to get lost or something." He looked to all smiling, then noticed the blood stain on the Dr. "Is everything alright, Doctor?" "Oh, I am fine, Ravin. Just had to stop and help an engineer who had lost the fight with a door. I didn't want to be late, so I did not have time to change." Hitomi did not have time to say much more before the folks from Artifacts Inc came in and started the meeting. So far this was looking pretty official, it even managed to hold her attention past the rather sickly feeling of having the blood on her top slowly dry and adhere it to her skin. |

He was seated next to Troy, and watched as the suits came in. You could always spot a corporate type a mile away. Somewhere better then others, he hoped these 2 would fall in that range.
"Well here we go Troy, pull up your company sleeves." He chuckled. Before coming to a judgment he would listen to the rest of it.

She watched as Jaris and Brooks walked in, going directly to the head of the table. She worked for this company for a few years and more or less understood their policies. And once she accepted the colony position she spent weeks in their library concerning colony policies. So she would be ready when they got there.

She observed the rest of the group entering and when the doctor entered, the smell of blood was obvious on her, including the stain that she was attempting to hide
Her security training came to the fore, wondering who would cause such a thing to happen. It would not happen on her watch.
She relaxed a bit when she heard the doctor explain that it was just as simple as a crewman catching his hand in the door
She turned her eyes to a man and a woman enter the room. One she hadn't seen in the lounge. Speculation had her guessing these two would be the ones to start the meeting

Troy looked to see the doctor come in with a bit of blood on her and she tried to hide it but it wasnt that well hidden, especially with the smell of it "Whoa"! He said to himself and he couldn't help but cover his nose. The smell of blood always got to him
The man and the woman came in and he smiled a bit, recognizing the woman: Ann Brooks. A higher up who's hired him to run as a taxi for some of the higher up employees, even hired him to transport some artifacts back to HQ
Chase broke into his musings with the comment "Well here we go Troy, pull up your company sleeves."
He turned to look at Chase with a humorous grin "Yep, here we go" and he made a show of pulling up imaginary sleeves. He chuckled then looked back to the Exec's and listened to what they had to say
He didnt have any questions as of yet, but listened to see if anyone else did

He had no questions. He was trying to keep the role of observer, not really being a company employee.
Still he wanted to hear all concerns that were adressed and keep abreast of the big picture.
He activated his PADD, preparing to record anything pertinent.

He nods to her with a smile soon Robert Jaris, and Ann Brooks from the Artifacts Inc. came in and the meeting started he had no questions at the time.
He would wait and listen to them, then he ask nay questions he might have

"On the Padds Ann just gave you, it has 3 site locations that when we observed them had everything a colony needs to get established. Artifacts strongly suggest you opt for the first one. However where you choose to live is basically your decision. Those are the best sites to start."
"Before Ann and I leave we will need to know which site you have agreed to. So what are the objectives your probably thinking." At this point he put a visual on the screen.
"Objectives"
"Short term main goals from Artifacts POV"
"1) Get the colony up and running which goes without saying."
"2) Establish self-sufficiency ASAP. In the form of producing food, etc. Your colony is a long way from home and will need to become self-sufficient ASAP. We will of course continue to support your efforts. Just remember its not like walking across the street." He laughed at his own joke.
"3) You will have 3 days before the transport leaves the area if there is anything we have overlooked let either Ann or myself know. We can get one more shipment in before the next scheduled run which will be in 6 months."
"4) While Artifacts is the main concern of this company we also want to exploit other avenues such as food stuffs, minerals etc. However this falls under long term goals and nothing is expected for the next few years. He stopped and looked around the room to see if there were any questions."

It did not matter much to Hitomi were the colony was located, only that it was a place they could survive and thrive at. No matter what the outcome, there was never any doubt in her mind that she would be one busy little doctor. Between the actual physical work of setting the colony up, to the inevitable interactions with the flora and fauna of the planet itself, the the eventual fighting all humans eventually succumbed to. The next few months would make or break her.
She looked around the table as she had no questions yet, noting the looks on those around her. She easily spotted those who had reacted badly to the smell of blood on her, one of which was the constable. Always a good thing when the law can smell blood from across the room.

He looks at the sites "I like site one all we need on the coast, in the north better than the cost in the south" he says after they finishing speaking
He looks at them "Temporary Housing and a Large Temporary building for the Messhall all ready their?"

He looked at the PADD that was given to him by Ann and the other Exec, listening to what they had to say
He studied the sites and couldn't really decide on which he liked best. He looked up "As long as there is a body of water and a view of the mountains in the near distance, I don't mind where we build this colony"
He heard Arron ask about temp housing and a building to house the Mess Hall being already there. He thought it would be, uness they had to guy hunting for food
He glanced at Ann, but spoke to both Exec's "I know I'm Transportion Administrator of this here outfit. I'm gonna need a fleet of shuttles and cargo trucks and stuff. I'm gonna need to ship people and food and all kinds of things around. Do I need to start building that from scratch?"

Jeff would look to the two. " Also do we have others to work with keeping the peace other then my self? And what type of weapons will we have to keep are selfs safe with?"

She took the PADD that was given to her and studied it, the different sites that were picked for the Colony to start from, then listening as the questions came
She knew either way she was going to be needing to secure whichever site they choose and make sure no laws are broken.
She heard one of the men speak up and ask " Also do we have others to work with keeping the peace other then my self? And what type of weapons will we have to keep are selfs safe with?"
She glanced up and looked at the man "I'll be working to keep the peace as I am in charge of Security and the police force" She told him
