As he was eating he saw the Vulcan walk in and get her food and was now looking for a place to sit. He thought it might be fun to try to talk with her since most Vulcan's talk like walking computers it could be an interesting challenge. "" Hey Lt. you can sit here."" He waited to see if she would accept.

She heard a voice call out she seen the Maine wave her over and nodded and then walked over and took a seat across from him. Thank you most kind Lieutenant?

He smiled. 2Lt. Jackson Shepard assigned to the Tarawa fighter group. But you can call me Jacks or Jackson. He was going to put his hand out to shake her hand but then he remembered Vulcan do not like to make physical contact. So he just returned her nod she had given him.

Please It's just Jackson T'Le.... I'm Sorry I'm not good at pronouncing Vulcan names. He thought he might use that to get her to talk a bit more.

She looked at him and raised a brow. In the academy their were some who had difficulty in pronouncing my name. In order to adapt and felicitate a state of unity with my fellow classmates I adopted a nickname as you humans would say. You may call me Lynette. She took a drink of her tea and wondered why Jackson was interested in talking with her.

He grins Lynette....hmmm I like it as much as I would like to get to know how you picked that name I am due to report to holodeck for some simulator time. Maybe next time we run into each other you can talk some more. He got up with his tray. See next time Lynette. He then walked away.
