J.P has heard alot about "Marine Mess Halls" so he figure he try it.
Walking into the Mess Hall...he see several replicators and figure this isn't going to be good. But as he walks farther in he see lines with non-ranks and junior nco's.
He then come to a section called Officer Country...it's full of tables like back at Starfleet. He finds a single and sit..as he waits a steward come over and takes his order.
What would like this morning Sir? The Chief special today is a Vulcon breakfast.... it a disk with several of the Vulcon favor breakfast food. We also have over 12 different type of coffees.
Nooo...I just have three eggs over, 4 slices of ham, wholewheat toast, and a pot of whatever the chief drinks.
Aye Sir....I will have your back here in 15 minutes...Thanks you Sir.
J.P nods to the steward and takes out his PADD and goes over his daly reports. As he sit back and start watches the room fills up.
But in 13 minutes his breakfast show up.

David enters the Mess Hall and and gets in line when her gets up to the Sever he places his order
" 6 eggs Sunny Side up 4 Steaks Medium Rae Hash Browns 6 pieces of Rye Toast Picture of OJ, Pot of Coffee double strength and a Bowl of Sausage Gravy " he says the sever looks at him and confirms Davids order
David walks to a Table he sees Doc in the Officer Country and nods to him then David finds an empty Table and Sits Down, Soon the Rest of Black Sheep Join him and the eat breakfast

Sam enters the Mess Hall she sees all the Marines getting their food and eating, she enters the Officer Country, smiles at the Doctor and takes a seat at a Table then the Swart arrives

Sam looks at him " No thank you just a 4 egg Omelet with Ham & Sausage Onions, red peppers, And Mushrooms and a glass of OJ " She orders
" Aye Ma'am ....it will be ready in 10 - 12 minutes...Thank you Ma'am" The Stewart says as he leaves to place her order
Sam sits looking around Then she Takes out her PADD and starts checking to See if their are any Up dates on the Mission 10 minutes latter her Food is brought She puts her PADD down and starts eating

A tray of food is place in front of him as he places down his PADD. He notice the LCpl Greathouse has enter and so has his squad. John greet them...
LCpl Greathouse...ladies and gentlmen...and I used that term loosely
As he smile and nods to the table full of combat marines. J.P looks over his breakfast and then trys the coffee...if he hasn't learn on thing in his many years in Starfleet..it's if you have a chief on board...alway drink the coffee..it the best. With that he pours himself a mug full...see it deep black and has a great smell...<ws> this got to be great coffee...Take a sip and guess what..it is. J.P now turns and looks over at the CSCI officer sitting down for her breakfast...
Good Morning Lt. Doogan...
Smiles and nods back to her.

Sam hears the Doctor talking to LCpl Greathouse, then the Doctor says the Coffee as to be good
Sam looks at the Doctor and smilies when he says good morning "Good Morning Doctor, and Please you may Call me Sam" she replies as she takes a bite of her food and a drink of her OJ

Okay Sam....smiles.
And please call me John, J.P or Doc....I will answer to any those name. But please try not to call me Doctor Rutger... that is what I call my father Vice Admiral Rutger...Doctor Rutger....And you should try the coffee...it great. But remember to ask for the Chief speical.
So are you ready to save those people? I think right or wrong....this is the right thing to do. You did right by holding your ground.
With that he takes anpther sip of coffee and nods to her.

Sam smiles " Thank You John, if you do not like to be called that I will not call you it" she says as she takes a drink " Thank You Again thou I have a habit of speaking first and thinking letter, Yes I' m ready for us to save those people" she says
" No Thank You John I do not like Coffee" she says as she takes a bite

J.P drinks down the last of his coffee and tell the steward that he is done. With that the steward starts cleaning up the tell..J.P stand and turns back to Sam...
Tell me....I left before you and Lt. Saris were done talking. Did you both work things out?

David laughs " Were Combat Marines being ladies and gentlemen is something we don't do" He says with a smile
" All but Storm she has done a Gentlemen a few times" David laughs
" Well a few times Sir" Storm laughs
David shifts his Eyes to Sam "Hello Sam" he says

Getting to the Mess Hall, Doc finds it pretty empty. That's because most are on leave on earth.
Doc starts for the officer section, but changes his mind. He walk over to enlist personal line and grabs a tray. No officer chow today...Let see what the Marines are eating.
As he walks the line...he stop and looks down at what looks like some kind of brown meat. Looks up at the server.
Cpl...what this?
Meatload....Sir
Ok..place his tray up....I'll have some of that..and those veggie looks good..those too.
Doc has make it through the line and now finds a place to sit. Once this is done he place his tray down and goes and gets himself a cup of coffee.
He now sit down and looks down at his tray and thinks it may have been better to have gotten his replicator meal today.

Before heading to engineering as he got his breakfast he thought about how the the Chief engineer was going to work out. Spending most of his time working the late night shift he never really got to talk with the old chief engineer. At the dinner last night he thought the chief was alright.

They enter the Mess hall and several officers turn to look and turn back quickly. It was partly curioosity and it was partly because it was the first time they had seen the Colonel since the last mission. They sat and Jack fetched both their drinks and he began to talk to her as if they were the only two people in the room. I haven't decided yet. He said thoughtfully. Even in your party it was more people drinking to forget. I find the view here worth staying for. He smied.

She turned a little red she was not used to a man under her command flirting with her. Most of the men in the fighter wing she commanded would not be so bold. She smiled at him and thought if Dexx was here he would be giving Mr. Bradley the 1st degree. he was as bad as her brother. " I'm sure your doing it right it just been sometime since I was flirted with. I have never really had much of a social life I have always been consumed by my job."
