"As far as this ship, most people are good to get along with." He ate some more soup. I think you will not find it difficult to meter the demeanor of anyone here. I've noticed people tend to wear their hearts on their sleeves. Marines are famous for it. He smiles then turns to the young officer. "Lieutenant Saito is it?, you can either pull up a chair here and have lunch or get settled in with the other pilots. If you talk to Chief Patricowski, he'll get your squared away with living accommodations and craft assignments."

"Interesting comment there LT.Lassiter,Marines wearing their hearts on their shirt sleeves. It has been my experience that through all the training and discipline the marines go through that they tend to keep their emotions in check."
"I wish I had the time to debate you on that it would be interesting I am sure.I need to get back to the Bridge and see what Captain Dorius and LT. Moon have picked up."
"You enjoy your meal everyone."Walking to the reclaimer and tossing his tray into it.As he made his way to the Bridge he really wished he could have further discussed LT. Lassiters take on marines. It would have been a great debate.
He could tell the LT. was intelligent and could hold his own. That is why it would have been fun.He could hold his ground very well also.Yet the fact was he had to find Lexi and fast. The longer it took the lesser the chances of finding her alive or otherwise.
(OOC BACK TO THE BRIDGE TO TALK TO ME)

She sat down and then looked to Colonel Allen. It was nice to meet you sir. She looked back to the CAG and the other counselor. So what do you recommend for lunch?

"It was nice to have the opportunity to speak with you colonel." Nemi said as Allen left the table, then responded to the CAG.
"Marines show you what they want you to see, lieutenant and what they do show, they are passionate about. They are also fiercely protective of those things and will guard them against any perceived attack. Then there are the things they..we.. don't like to talk about. The one's we don't like to admit to ourselves let alone to others. Our pain, our doubts and fears. Marines aren't supposed to have weaknesses but we do and accepting that takes courage." She gave the new XO a smile."Lt. Saito, I'd say everything here is well prepared. What do you favor?"

She looked to the Lieutenant Xenakis . I would really like some chili cheese fries and a root beer. She grins. I have to disagree Lieutenant Xenakis Marines don't have any weakness, we adapt. we overcome. we improvise. Can I get a Oo-rah Boss! She looks to Lieutenant Lassiter

"I would not suggest having such a heavy meal" Marc replied as they two debated. "I want you to hit the ground running. Currently the fighters are on standby so you need to be battle ready if called. Don't want you losing your lunch."
I agree with part of what the counselor says, He waved his clean sthingy to emphasize his point. Everyone, be they Marine or other species will keep some of themselves hidden. Marines are trained to be squared away in their duty and their personal lives, but our duty requires passion. A Marines first training and expectation is to give their lives to the corp. So to make that kind of commitment take that kind of passion. I've gone out in uniform, and you'll occasional here someone say 'Semper fi", but its only the Marines that say it with reverence. I often wondered how many of those civilians know what the phrase means both in translation and to the corp. He snapped himself out of his reflection. Anyway, I was speaking more of crew morale. A marines morale is not hard to fathom, but if you are talking about something deeper than that then you might dig for years and never find it.

She stood up and grabbed her duffel bag and then looking to the CAG. I guess its just an MRE then. I'll go get squared away Sir. It was nice too meet you both. She headed out of the mess hall and went to meet Chief Patricowski to get her with living accommodations and craft assignments.

"She didn't even give me the opportunity to thank her for providing such a perfect illustration to my point." Nemi laughed as she watched Saito's slim form walk through the doors. "And please let me know how 'I' can live on cheeseburgers, chili fries and MRE's and still maintain a girlish figure!"

Enters the Mess Hall just after a new crewmen left, walks to the replicator and orders his food 3 medium rare Steaks, Fries covered in gravy and water to drink, he then walks to an empty table nodding to Lassiter and the new Crewmen and sits down

Nemi watched the sergeant sit at the empty table next to them. "There's plenty of room here, sergeant if you don't mind sitting with officers'" She grinned at the joke. Most Marine NonComs didn't hold a high opinion of officers. It was another one of those ingrained prejudices Marines carried with them.

He looks at the woman "No Ma'ma I don't mind, I just didn't want to bother you two" he walks over to the table and sits down
Reaching out his big Hand "Sgt David Greathouse" he laughs "Truth is Ground Pounders and Fly Boys don't get along" looks at Lassiter with a smile

"Now the Sgt is well aware of my affiliation with 'ground pounders' as he would put it." He smiles. Anyway Greathouse, you had a pilot for a CO for a short time. If you can handle it so can I.

The Sargent here is a great inheritor of the 'caste iron' stomach. He smiled and ate some soup. Witness his meal,If I tried to fly on a meal like that Chief Patricowski would have my hide. It would take a week to get the smell out of my cockpit.

He laughs at Lassiter comment "Sir I doubt you could eat a meal like this these, are 20oz steaks 31/2 lbs 4oz of meat"
he looks down at his food then at the table "Anyone care for any" he smiles
