She listened to the Riov as he spoke to the Vulcan. She inwardly smiled as he made it very clear, the Empire, her goals and needs come first on board this ship. And nothing less will be acceptable.
And from her knowledge the goals of the Empire and the Federation were in complete agreement. This Alliance needs to grow and become stronger. Those who oppose it must be dealt with. Each according their own ways.
The Riov and his wisdom in dealing with the Vulcan was impressive and increased her pride in him. Her loyalty was not misplaced. There was a lot to learn from this Riov and she would do all she could to learn.
But until in her mind the Vulcan could be fully trusted she would watch. There was an irony in that, as if any Vulcan could be trusted. She was not of the mind set that sought reunification, no. As a friend told her once, she had a Riov who had an expression and it fit well. "What is done, is done. The choice having been made, one must now face the results of that choice."

He remembers one of his instructors advice seemingly eons ago. "Change is inevitable, situations change. It takes a strong leader to accept change and a fool to try to hold on to the old. In order to grow one must take chances or stagnate in the quagmire of the familiar."
Smiling to himself he sees the solution, "I will accept your transfer to this ship conditionally. You will be on probation until such time I deem you fit to be called Erein instead of Ensign. At that point we will see if you will have the courage to offer your dagger to me. Until then you will assume your station and insure all equipment is working properly. You will also not wander the ship freely with out permission form the command staff. If you can meet these terms you are welcome here."

T'meryl bowed again. "Ssuaj-ha" ("Understood!" (inferior-superior mode) "Khlinae Arhem" (Thank You TO SUPERIORS)
She stood at attention. She knew the other Rihannsu were studying her, wondering. The Human was doing so openly. She waited calmly to see what was next.

S.Gale was a bit surprised at the Riov's mandate to the Vulcan science officer, but she has long ago learned not to show anything she didn't want to show. {{ Sad, there is atill a bit of animosity between the cousins}} she thought to herself, {{The Rihannsu expect strangeness from a Terran, but not someone so close to themselves. I should try to befriend her as well as my other shipmates. Maybe I can be a bridge.}}. Then to the vulcan quietly {{Sister-in-arms, I will help where I can. We will talk later.}}

T'meryl gives a slight nod, to show the human that she heard, but keeps her attention on the Riov.

She stood there eyes straight ahead never leaving the Riov except to glance sideways at the Vulcan. And once to the Terran.
She heard the Terran as she spoke to her sister-in-arms, and of meeting later. Interesting, indeed. It seems they both merit watching.

Acknowledging the Vulcan's response, "Very well, I will hold you to that with your life."
He then noted that something just past between the human and science officer. They both would bear watching. However, seeing this first interview with the crew, otherwise, has gone satisfactorily he says to all of them,
"We are starting a new era in Federation and Rihannsu relationships. There are bound to be hills and valleys that we will cross and deal with when they appear. You all have your assignments, I expect them to be finished. Dismissed."
He turns back to his PADD and continues to work.

S.Gale spoke up, "My pardons Riov, but I need to say something." She thinks she percieves a nod from the Riov and continues, " I will need to have everyone come in for physicals at thier earliest convience so I may compare it against their last physicals. Thank you." and she does that bow-salute.

"Le, Rekkhai it will be done"
As they were dismissed Veralen slightly bowed respectfully. As she started to turn she heard the Terran address the Riov. She was dumbfounded at the level of disrespect.
She forced herself to remain calm, and continued to walk out.
So this how the Federation officer treat their superiors. It is amazing they live to old age.

He feels his officers tense and he looks up and stares directly at the Doctor. He wonders if her liaison officer taught her anything at all about protocol. Did she not know that is was disrespectful to interject after being dismissed? He looks at her, eyes cold as the voids of space.
"Maenek (Doctor)," he intones,"since you are relatively new to the Empire and the way we do things, I will let you live. You will never again interject after you have been dismissed. It is a part of Rihannsu discipline and training. Do I make myself clear?."
Then adding,"If you need check ups on personnel send it to individual stations from now on." He starts to come back to a stable frame of mind.

He would listen to what his Riov has said to the Vulcan and also to the rest of them. Once he heard him dismissing them, Vrih would ball his fist up and places it across his chest, then would bow his head towards his Riov. He looks over at the Doctor, noticing how she went out of protocol. She was lucky that she wasn't Romulan.
He would turn on heels and exited the ch'-Leih nniehv rhe/hnahfvier. His main goal is to get that cloaking device checked out before the third watch came around. It meant his life he does not have it fixed before then. He would also consider everything that Riov has said and asked of him, something that he must review around his duties.
He walked towards the Transporter Tube that was at the end of the corridors. Stepping inside the Transporter Tube, keeping his head up straight as he called out his deck. “Etreh’rhe” (engineering), he would say.
Within moments, the Transporter Tube would stop and the doors would open for him. Vrih would step out of the Transporter Tube and walk down the corridor, making his way into the etreh’rhe. He making his way towards where the cloaking device is located at and would begin to run several diagnostics on it. Checking out the various fields and components, like the cloaking generator coils, that were in the cloaking device.
Vrih took note how one of the coils was not working properly and that it was what caused the major hold up. He would carefully take the damaged coil out and replace it with a newer one. After replacing it, he would go through the rest of the components, checking them out as well. When he saw that he corrected the problem, he would place the panel back over the cloaking device. Then would reroute power back through.
He would check what time it was and noticed that there was still plenty of time before second and third watch would come. This would be a good time to check the rest of the engineering and also reflect the question that his Riov has asked of him.

C-Clear as w-water crystal, Sir! I Will do Better, Sir!" She balls up her fist and salutes forcibly and bows. Thinking to herself I am SO going to KILL that liasion officer if I survive this mission! Or at least punch his so hard his anscestors will bleed! . Then noticing that the Riov wants her out of his sight "NOW!", turns sharply and leaves quickly. She makes her way quickly to the turbo-lift. Once inside she glances at her PADD for (hopefully) the correct word. "Hifvai'rhe!"(sickbay) she says and silently prays that the "lift" is taking her to the correct place.

His eyes went from the Riov to the Vulcan as they spoke, then to the Maenek ( Doctor ) as she slipped a message to the Vulcan about meeting later and the vulcan's silent acknowledgement. His eyes then glanced to the Amnei'saehne, thinking those two need to be watched. Seeing the expression on her face, he could tell that she thinks the same. His eyes glance back to the Riov as he dismissed the four officers. He brings a balled fist to his chest in salute and turned to go, freezing as he heard the Maenek speak out of turn. He fires a glance/glare at the maenek ( doctor ) and nearly spoke again, when he heard the Riov respond, a cold, almost hateful tone to his voice. He shivered slightly, hoping he never gets that tone when the Riov speaks to him. He then continues out and is nearly bowled over by the Maenek rushing out to escape her Riov's wrath. He fired another glare to her retreating back and paused to say in a similar cold voice "Pardon me, Maenek" ( doctor ) He mutters a mild romulan curse, then proceeds to his console and take his position

Watching the Maenek rush out of the nniehv rhe (ready room) he makes a mental note to increase his meditation time by 10 minutes that evening. This mixed crew could be a blessing or a curse. For 2000 years ch'Rihan and ch'Havran had kept to themselves dominating and carrying out their business well away from the rest of the galaxy. As more races started to move out and explore the twin worlds still kept to themselves and took the stance that they were sovereign and wanted to be left alone to their own conquests and business.
For the most part, due to a superior cloak technology, they were able to stave the tide with relatively little problems until the Federation-Ruhannsu war that ended in the creation of the Neutral Zone. An uneasy truce prevailed through the next 100 years or so until the Dominion became a major threat to the quadrant, forcing the government of the twin system to side with ancient foes to defend, as Terran's would say, their turf.
Now he, Riov Galan Cretak was charged with making the RSE Dhivael a diversified vessel.
"May the Gods and Goddesses and all the Elements be with me, "he intones.
Continuing over his reports he stops and looks down at a name of the commander of one of the ships that is in port for repair for damages incurred in a recent battle. His thoughts travel back to a time when he was a young officer aboard a BoP patrolling the neutral zone and a young operations officer on her first assignment, Erein Eviess Radaik. Smiling fondly at the memories he picks up the report on the USS New York and reads the action report. He frowns at the abuse that was done on Rihannsu civilians and curses, "fvadt (damn)."
It also occurs to him that Eviess was experiencing the same situation as he , only in reverse. She has the honor of being the first Rihannsu to command a Federation ship. He must talk to her about how she is handling her crew.
He hit's his intercom and says,"Cretak to Erien Sahen, open a hailing frequency to the USS New York. Extend my congratulations on the Riov's recent mission and tell her I wish to speak with her if she has time. Cretak, out."
He goes back to his reports and awaits Riov Radaik's answer.

(OOC) Hey Guys... I don't know if you realize this.. but unless you're telepathic, you shouldn't have been able to hear my thought "to" the vulcan... there would have been no guarantee that the vulcan would have heard me... but it was a "silent" communication. It's cool to be angry at me for jumping "protocol" but not for this.
