We have a guest Meanak on board. I gave him a tour while business was as usual on the bridge. After awhile, I got a summons to the bridge. Aparrently the cloaking device glitched and the Breen detected us. I am to be on alert for intruders, as this is one of the Breen's favorite tactics.
I am also pleased that Anarra has made XO. I am proud of her, and glad because she will no longer be able to force me to sickbay. We also had a bit of a celebration for her birthday. Thankfully, no one remembered mine... I don't want to celebrate the first time that Tyler failed on a promise and stood me up on my birthday.

I am now our guest doctor's personal body guard. I trust no one else with this task. We are both wearing transport inhibitor armbands so no one can get a lock on us. I have his research documents with me at all times so those cannot be stolen either. Hopefully we can get him to his destination with no problems.
Anarra is doing a good job as the new XO.

Our mission is progressing with caution. I am keeping a close eye on our guest until we reach our destination. I have increased security all over the ship. I've also enlisted the aid of marines and anyone else who is capable of holding a rifle and paying attention to their surroundings for a guard shift.
Personally, I could do with a vacation about now. Things have been tense for a little while. While I would have nothing without my job, I can't help but be affected by strenuous assignments all in a row. I don't even know what I would do... sleep, I guess.

The battle that was brewing broke out shortly after we dropped off our guest. The fighting was fierce, and boarders got onto the ship. Those on the bridge were quickly controlled by my security officers. I fought hand to hand outside engineering... Johanas and Yhea were there as well and fought well. Then we got called to deck 10 and I fought there... I don't remember much after that...
I remember telling Johanas not to let my subordinates see me... and I remember blood. I remember talking to Dr. Dawn'lia and she turned up the sleeping medicine. I also remember Johanas by the bed, covered in blood... he said he had crash docked the ship and I needed to write him a ticket. When I woke up, Johanas was still there and I appreciated his company more than he realizes... I was so afraid of dying alone in sickbay. He says he was afraid that I wouldn't make it to sickbay from deck 10...
After awhile, Johanas left to clean up and Ejiul kept me company. He invited me and several others to his family's beach house on the surface. The offer was very kind, and I convinced the doctor to let me come. He is an excellent host and I appreciate his help, because I still feel pretty woozy and sore. Johanas showed up on a horse, Anarra came with her daughter, and Dr. Dawn'lia is hovering around, probably to tell me to rest. The sun is warm, the food is excellent, and the sand is a good mattress... all in all, it's a nice beach for some vacation.

Our current mission is investigating a planet that was damaged by the race that lived, and died off, there. ch'Cheron is now inhabited by Romulan colonists who are trying to rebuild the ecosystem and learn more about the people who lived there before them.
I have been sent down with Samantha to inspect the planet's defense systems. While Samantha was inspecting, I tried to find the source of noise in the bushes. It seems like an animal of some sort, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

After a long exploration and recovery of cultural artifacts from the underground city on Ch'Cheron, we have finally returned home. I'm glad to finally have real food, but the first thing I did was take a nice hot shower.
I know that the purpose of the Federation, and of the Romulan equivalent to the Federation, is to explore, but I have never had an aptitude or interest in dead cultures. I am honored to serve here, on the ship, as Chief of Security. I miss being in Federation space... I haven't seen my brother and sister in years. They are the only family I have left.

We're almost to the Neutral Zone with Federation space. I couldn't be more glad to see familiar space again. What's more, we're heading to Earth. Johanas can finally show me the places that I've only seen on the holodeck... the Black Forest of Germany would be so much better to see for real, to feel the life, and smell the fresh air. I realize now that those dusty dead caves had really gotten me depressed.
I can feel that the Romulan crewmembers are distinctly disappointed to be leaving Romulan space... but this is a Federation starship. I signed up for Starfleet, not the Romulan millitary. I'm not so sure if I can handle going back there... too many bad memories. I can't even talk to anyone about most of them, it's classified.

I'm so happy to be returning to Earth. Normally, Earth is just another planet to me. However, Johanas promises to introduce me to his family, and his excitement is rubbing off on me. We also might come back with a surprise or two for the rest of the crew, if they care to hear such details in the lives of their crewmates. Romulans are more impersonal than Starfleet crews. I suppose it improves effeciency.

Our last shore leave was on Earth. Johanas and I took the opportunity to visit his brother, who serves at a church. I understand he's a priest, but I never fully understand religious matters. I was thrilled that he was willing to marry us off, however. I also got to meet Johanas's nephew, who is an engaging child... very curious as well, which are both good qualities for a child. I still haven't made any announcements to the crew, though the name change should be quite obvious. It seems like the magic of having a happy secret would wear off if everyone made a big deal about it. I guess Romulans don't make much of a big deal about anything personal in the crew's life. I guess that's why I'm trying to keep other things a secret as well... I don't want to be treated differently by telling them.
At the moment, we are transporting a Vulcan ambassador to Vulcan. He is asking questions about the exchange program with the Romulans, but who knows what his real ajenda from the bureaucracy might be. My job is to make him comfortable, and make sure he doesn't get lost or anything. After that, we are having shore leave on Vulcan.

The station we are reporting to did not respond to hails. The marine teams sent over there have discovered a number of drugged people wandering the corridors. A few seem so intoxicated they are barely functional, and the rest are acting crazy and drunk. I hope the doctor sorts it out, but in the meantime, they are confined to sickbay. Only authorized personel can exit the sickbay doors.
