Shore leave ended and we made our way to our next assignment. I had a rather pleasant time working during shore leave. I also managed to get a chance to send some messages out on subspace that I hadn't had a chance to answer for a week or two. Soon, I will be needed to go kick some butt on an away mission. I look forward to it.

Computer begin log
We were beamed down to the surface of a colony to search for survivors after a horrendus attack. Everyone we saw at first was dead. The only survivor was a small cat-like animal that I'm told is a pet. The little cat scratched me because I scared it, but I gave it food and PeggySue, an assistant engineering officer, gave it water. The little cat is quite friendly, and if it keeps following us, I think I might take it back with me. It would be sad to leave it on the surface, where no one is left alive to take care of it. Pets are allowed on galaxy class ships, so I don't see why it would be a problem.
After the engineering team led by Lt. Kinsely was finished repairing the communications array, we started looking for more survivors. We found a group of dead men who looked as if they had been defending the colony. Then we heard children crying and found three kids and an adult watching over them. We had them beamed back to the ship for medical care. As they were beamed back, a group of surviving attackers opened fire at us. I managed to take out a couple of them and now we are still trying to neutralize the others.

Computer, begin log
Justin and I continued to search for survivors before he got called to assist with the computer systems. He retrieved some filed, fixed a few things and was then ordered back to the ship. I then accompanied the captain to where a few humans had been found. The captain is questioning them and trying to kill them because they aparrently had something to do with the attacks. I haven't been told any details yet however.
When Justin beamed back, he also took the little cat animal back with him and fed it at my request. I am glad to have a new pet and I am glad I could rescue another survivor of the colony... no one else would have taken care of the little cat if I hadn't taken it in.

We continued to search for survivors and beamed them up to sickbay. I also got to take care of a few prisoners. Upon instructions from Colonel Stevenson, I made sure to put them in separate cells. I shall continue the search until I recieve different orders.
I have been mystified by the captain's behavior towards a few humans who were taken prisoner. I want to know what role they have had here, but from the captain's behavior, they must have had something to do with causing the attack.

Begin log, stardate 63930.59
The last few shifts have been spent dealing with two stubborn Reman prisoners. One of the prisoners gives nothing but his name and serial number, or he howls or says insane little chants. I think he must be unstable somehow. Our other prisoner kept insisting that he was looking for a family member and had nothing to do with anything. The captain checked his papers, and it turned out he was telling the truth. For now, we have assigned him quarters and I apologized for how he'd been treated. As for the other one, the Tal'Shair would get the truth out of him, but he doesn't seem scared of them at all, the fool.

I finally had a chance to catch a meal and take a break. I haven't slept in awhile, but I'd rather be doing something useful anyway. The Tal'shiar is taking care of the prisoner now. I got to speak to Riov Jarok for a few moments in Ten Forward, and it was an interesting time. Once everything is taken care of, I think it is high time for more training simulations for the security teams. If the captain doesn't have anything else for me to do, that is. I wonder what our next assignment will be.

Anarra and Mark's daughter was born earlier today. I got to coach Anarra and tell her to breathe. The whole thing looked rather painful, but she got through it and has a daughter to show off for her pain. Mark was there for her every step of the way as well. I haven't gotten to hold baby Adria yet, but if she's going to spit up on me like babies tend to do, I might pass on the offer.
During the whole thing, watching Mark and Anarra, I wished I could have love like that. My solution will have to be working more. There's some new security personel who are real screw-ups I have some sense to knock in to.

We fought a battle on the colony we rushed to protect. The fighting was intense, but my security officers fought well and rose up to the level I expect out of them. I think the only casualty was someone who made a really stupid mistake and brought a buddy down with him. There were some severe injuries, but they are being tended to in sickbay. As for myself, I am alive. I'm not that happy about it, but I suppose Anarra will be glad I'm back.

Computer, begin log.
We've been having some down time lately. I took the opportunity to fix some broken weapons in the armory and attempt to socialize with my friends. I've been feeling more down... more fatigued... lately. I miss my family... and those that I have loved and lost. I want to go home, but I have no home other than here. A wise person... my mother... once told me that home is with the people you love most. If that is true, I still don't know where home is.
The captain recently had a dinner with a guest, Galan Cretak, a fellow Romulan captain who is a friend of hers. Aparrently another dinner will happen soon on his ship. I don't know if I feel like socializing more... I'd rather go back to duty and try to forget myself again.

Begin log
I ran simulations with the security officers, as we escort another ship to a penal colony. However, drills were cut short when the Riov called battle stations. I arrived on the bridge and am assessing the situation.
On the Romulan vessel captained by a friend of Riov Radaik's, they are having a dinner for the two crews to interact. I generally don't like social occasions anymore because I don't seem to know many people, I have no one to go with, and I have little good to make small talk about. I do look forward to good Romulan ale and good food.

We have had some down time recently. I don't really enjoy down time, but at least I managed to get some Romulan ale and share it with our new Chief engineer, Ael, to make the time pass faster. Anarra keeps looking at me funny, but at least it's not as if I worked myself to the bone while pregnant like she did. I should make it a point to go see her daughter, Adria, more often. I don't know when or if I'll ever have a chance to hold a baby again, and she is pretty cute.
I had best be getting back to work. I want to review the security teams before I go on duty.

The battle has begun. We had some intruders, but we took care of them and have them locked in the brig. The ship must be locked in battle with someone and I have heard about marines being sent out, but I was too busy dealing with boarders to find out what else was going on.

We have prisoners in the brig to watch after boarding parties bothered us. We also had to go over to the prison ship and fight off intruders there. I was beamed back to the bridge with their prisoner. The criminal was sent to our brig and I remained on duty. I should visit sickbay, but I cauterized the wound with my phaser so I am fine for awhile. All I really need is a dermal regenerator anyway.

The last few shifts were so hectic I haven't had a chance to make many reports. The prisoners are finally gone, after a last minute attempt to take them out of our brig. The force fields got knocked out and a boarding party came... and were quickly repelled by the extra people stationed in and around the brig. I myself had to interrogate and remove tracking devices from the prisoner. I finally had to even go into the cell and bodily hold this scumball in place so that if he was taken, I would be as well, and I could kill him before he could do harm again.
Fortunately, today started off pretty normal... just making a bunch of security people who had been acting stupid learn to behave through rifle cleaning therapy. In the middle of the shift, we got called to a gathering and were asked to wear dress uniforms. I changed and reported as ordered and we got to watch Taev get promoted in Romulan fashion, a very interesting ceremony indeed.
I hear that we have a new second officer on board. I haven't met him yet, but I have seen him around. I hope to meet him soon.

We had a chance to rest and relax today. I stopped by Ten Forward and ended up having an interesting chat with Johanas Hanson and the AMO, Dawn'lia.
I look forward to our next mission. Sitting around makes me uncomfortable, so I very much hope duty will come again soon. Duty keeps me from having to think and feel.
