hears his PADD bleep at him reading the list of charges " fine if thats the way you feel about it "mocking anger and laughing >" then horseback riding it is " computer Hanson theta three relaxation program gamma for the order of two " the doors swing wide to reveal a placid shadey meadow with lots of overhanging trees the tempeture roughly 75 degrees low humidity could have very well been scotland or ireland in there and noone would have been the wiser. tied off to a small rail are two chestnut throughbreds saddled and outfitted for a western rider. "not sure your exact riding style if somethings wrong i'm sure i can change it to suit your needs."

She giggles and enters the holodeck with him. She regards the horses they were supposed to ride and listens to him say they could change the parameters if needed. The temperature was a little cool for her liking, so she hopes riding will warm her up well enough.
"Um... if you say so..." She regards the very large animal she had to figure out how to ride. The real horse was much easier, he responded to gentle telepathy. A holographic horse, however, would not.

Tossing his foot into the stirrup and lunging his body into the saddle upright he quickly snaps the reigns into his hands letting the horse adjust to his weight as his free leg settles astride the horse into the stirrup . "well are ya gonna look at it or ride it?"

"I'm not allowed to look at my mode of transportation?" She follows his lead and pulls herself into the horse's saddle. She pets the horse's neck and hopes this program's horse was supposed to just follow the other horse, because steering may be hard with these reigns.

"no no look all ya like never said anything about that just started wondering if you were expecting it to bite or buck or something " reigning his horse close to hers pulling the teather that had it restrained and splitting his grip on the reigns he turns his horse towards the long winding trail thru the dense growth of the forest " the black hills germany in the fall its a magical place reminds me of home if it weren,t just a collection of photons and electrons a trick of light " reigning his horse into a slow lope down the path .

She mutters under her breath to the computer, telling it to just have the horse follow Johanas. It was bad enough to stay seated in such an awkward position, let alone steer. She wasn't very experienced with animals of any sort, except for cats and dogs which were allowed on some starships.
"Home.... this is quite pretty... it must be nice to call it home. Living on a Starship most of the time, my mother would say, 'Home is created by the people you love, not a place.' I guess I lost my home when she died, then lost it again when my husband was declared lost in action." She looks pensive, hiding her sad expression from him by turning away and looking at a random tree while she wiped a tear from her cheek.

"thought I heard a little choke there i'm not empathic but it sounded like a tear to me my father said you make home what it is homes where you hang your hat its been a long time since i could say i've found a good hat rack " tension apprehension in his voice " though i'm sorry to hear about your mother my fathers a few years passed now. and its like i said starfleet lifes rough sometimes and people go missing even in a universe so small " Adding an idle chuckle remembering Wikapi and the doctor on the expeditioon when he was posted there briefly " but lifes not all bad " Leading the horse out of the clearing keeping it slow for Zandiles sake, emerging into a clearing the bright blue sky over head and rolling hills streaching for miles in either direction.

"Yeah..." She says softly in response to what he said. She looks around them as they go out into the clearing. She tries to turn and look behind them and very nearly ends up on the ground after losing her balance from the jolting and twisting and looking around. She squeaks in surprise as she grabs whatever she can to right herself on the saddle before she falls off or something embarassing like that.

Glances back hearing the scuffling noise "works best if you hold onto the reigns like so ": holding the split wrap in his hands tightly and of course remembering to keep your feet in the stirrups helps keep your behind in the seat i'd hate to have to carry you to sickbay due to busting your behind on a holographic horse " speeding up a little leaning over the saddle horn .

"You'd have to catch me first in order to get me to go to sickbay. I've had quite enough of that place to last awhile." She puts her feet in the sturriups and manage to keep her balance as he speeds up.
"How are you doing now, by the way? Still sore from battle?"

"I'm alright, just a bit sore in the shoulder when I try to lift something. But if you're still sore, there might be something wrong that time isn't healing..." She furrows her brows, worried about him. She nudges the horse to catch up with him, and she puts her hand on his shoulder.
"Please, take care of yourself... being tough at the expense of your health won't win any points in my book..." She hurts inside at the thought of him still in pain, the expression on her face showing plainly how she felt.

"I know that Zandile i'm not trying to be John Wayne just to be impressive trust me its just there are some things that time won,t heal and the best medicines sometimes can,t cure " A wince not of physical pain but emotional pain crosses his face his blue eyes connecting with her deep eyes momentarily before breaking and glancing down the feel of her hand on his shoulder comforting and as he spoke he brought his hand up and over hers gripping it lightly " as long as your getting enough rest I'd hate to have to come over to read ya a bed time story to put you out or have to spend countless hours straightening out sore muscles for you " Adding a chuckle and a smile.

"What's wrong then?" She asks him, looking into his eyes. Her eyes were dark brown and serious, rather than the brighter hazelish color they had been a few minutes ago when she was happy and carefree. She wanted to help him. She grips his hand gently and feels his pain acutely, through empathy and through her own knowledge and experience of pain.
