Holodeck one

[Lt. Zandile Hanson]

"Who's there?" ::Asked Zandile. She heard the person on the other side started to dig themselves out. She redoubled her efforts on shifting a particularly large boulder::

"Ensign Baccus, who's out there?" ::Came the muffled reply from the other side of the rockfall.::

"Ensign Rey" ::Replied Zandile.:: "I'll help get you out. Is this some sort of training simulation?" ::She asked him::

"Ensign Rey", "I'll help you get out, Is this some sort of training simulation"

::He heard Zandile's voice through all of the boulders::

Oh, Hey Zandile, No this a more Leisure activity that went bad. ::He continued moving the boulders, he had cleared the boulder that had trapped his leg, and he was know able to move around:: I started digging into the roof and I think I caused a collapse.

::They dug the boulders out of the pile until a small ray of light began to flicker through::

::Zandile saw Tyler's face from the light of her flashlight through the hole they had made in the rocks. She smiled at his explination of the collapse.::

"This could be a new form of training simulation, though. Much more fun cause it's unpredictable." ::Zandile grinned. She continued to shift the rocks. The dust caused her to cough and pause her work for a moment.::

"Can you get out yet, Tyler?" ::she asked::

::as the hole in the rock-wall opened up, he saw Zandile on the other side, and he heard her speak::

"Can you get out yet?"

::he looked around and then looked at the hole. He was certain that he could get out, but after all this, he wasnt about to leave without ggetting his piece of gold, he chuckled a bit as he pictured himself as a Ferengi::

Yeah, I be through in just a bit, gotta find that piece of gold I was diggin in the roof for.

::After fumbling around for a bit, he found it, then began to crawl through the hole they had dug out. He was glad to see that she had thought to replicate a flashlight because his had been lost in the rockslide. Once through the hole in the rocks, he stood up and dusted himself off.::

Whew, I tell you what, now that was an experience. I sure am glad the safeties were turned on, otherwise I'd be having a broken foot right about now. ::He pointed towards the direction of the exit of the cave.:: Shall we, I have had enough of this cave for one day.

::He and Zandile walked out of the gold mine and he noticed her looking around at the mountainside, It was summer so there was only a little snow at the top of the mountains. He didn't know if she had ever been on Earth before, but she seems quite taken with the scenic view.::

"So what do ya think?" ::Asked Tyler::

"I think it's beautiful? Where are we, anyway? I've been on Earth before, to visit relatives and attend classes at the Academy, but I haven't seen anything this pretty." ::She replied. She then realized that her uniform was covered in dust and dirt form the cave. She started brushing it off, until she realized that it was holographic dust. Even though all of this seemed so real, they were still on the New York.::

"I think it's beautiful? Where are we, anyway? I've been on Earth before, to visit relatives and attend classes at the Academy, but I haven't seen anything this pretty." ::Zandile asked still taking in the scenery::

"We are in the Rocky Mountains, in Colorado, just outside of a small town called Silverton. This place is called Eureka, Gold was very valuable in the early days here on earth, and these mountains are full of it. They began mining these mountains in the late 1800's to look for the gold. This mine right here was in operation until the late 1980's, when the quality of this mine started to degrade, and the mine was closed, after being named unstable."

::Tyler looked around breathing the fresh mountain air, and looked down the river at all of the pieces of lumber that had been washed out of the mine. The mine had collapsed several times throughout the years, so he wasn't really that surprised that it would have caved in on him. However, he was a little surprised that the holographic replication of the mine caved in on him.::

::Zandile listened to Tyler's explanation and remembered the Earth History lessons from her school days. When Tyler stopped, Zandile could see puzzlement written on his face. She wondered why a holodeck simulation of a mine would collapse like that.:: "This simulation was probably programmed to be a little too real, why else would the mine collapse on you?" ::She wondered aloud. She looked at the watch on her wrist, hidden under her sleeve.::

"I guess I should get going. You should be more careful next, time, Tyler." ::Said Zandile.:: "I'll see you later."

::He just nodded as Zandile spoke, he wasnt about to say the ceiling collapsed of his own stupidity, digging on the roof of a cave, that took a lot of sense, he was glad it was in the holodeck though.::

I suppose I should get going too, I've spent more than my fareshare of time in here today. ::As they headed towards the door, he paused for a second and asked Zandile:: "Just how did you know that I was trapped in there anyway?"

::Tyler looked puzzled,:: "Just how did you know that I was trapped in there, anyway?" ::He asked::

"I could feel your surprise when the roof collapsed. A friend of mine on the Enterprise taught me how to be attuned to other's thoughts and emotions. Ever since I was taught that, keeping other's emotions out of my head has sometimes been difficult. I can understand why normal Vulcans and half-Vulcans surpress their own emotions so much." ::Zandile smiled. She looked at her watch again, and looked surprised at the time. The minutes seemed to pass so quickly when she was talking with Tyler and her other friends.::

"I need to hurry, I have to go on duty soon. I will see you later, Tyler"

"Oh, I will see you later, then." ::Said Tyler. Zandile left the holodeck at a slight run, as she looked worriedly at her watch again.::

::Tyler just laughed a bit and watched as she walked rather briskly out of the holodeck.::

Hmm... That didn't really answer my question but oh well. ::sighs a bit and chuckles::

Computer Save Program and End

He walked into the holodeck and would look about. He would close his eyes."Computer 1999 USS Enterprise Air Craft carrier. CVN 65. " Seeing the ship form and his standing on the flight deck with flight gear on. His helmet on he would walk over to one of the F-14 tomcats. Looking back to the Reo that was there." Ready for some fun John.?"


"Come one Man do not get us in more trouble again. Every time we go up we are getting intruble for things you do."

Mark would shake his head pulling on the helmet. He would do his flight check. Pushing forward on the stick and the Reo will call out what he was doing. Once that was Don his hand would flip a few switches to turn the fuel and then ignite the engines." Ghost rider this is black Raven. We are ready to go."

He would lift a brow and would shake his head "Ok Raven this is ghost rider. You have a hope. You are to go out to marker one and then to marker 2. At Marker 3 we need you to take some pics. We believe there may be something going on there but we are not sure. Your flight time should be 4 hours top."

Mark would shake his head " Roger that Ghost Rider" He would then push the throttle forward and would roll forward. Turning the front wheal to get onto the catapults. He would do one more check. The flight officer would give him the signal to push power to the engines. Mark would do so and would salute the man and in return got one back right as they where launched. The F-14 engines would roar and wine as they where launched. Once off the ship he would roll the fighter as the landing gear would come up. Mark would then clime to 3,000 feet at a heading of 2.45 mark 3 to make the first Marker.

::Zandile enters the holodeck and stands in front of the program menu. She knows what program she wants, she just doesn't know what the name of it is. Finally, she finds the yoga programs and chooses one that is fairly easy, as she had never tried yoga before. She was already dressed in a tank top and loose pants for a workout, and yoga was a good workout. She had wanted to do something with Tyler, but she couln't find him. She knew Tyler was probably busy with his mystery, so she decided to try to amuse herself until he was available.::

"Computer, begin program."

::She found a herself in a room with exercise mats on the floor with soft music playing in the background. A holographic instructor had appeared, and started demonstrating the first position. Already, Zandile felt more relaxed. She took one of the mats and imitated the instructor. A few munites later, Zandile wondered if anyone was a actually human pretzle like this holographic woman appeared to be. She felt her muscles relax, however, as she kept up the exercises.::

"I need to do this more often." ::she mumbled to herself as she relaxed completely from the soft music and comfortable atmosphere.::

::Tyler walked off of the bridge, another shift completed. He had been putting in a lot of extra time since the murders had occured, and he needed to relax a bit. He had also felt that he had been neglecting to spend time with Zandile, and he hoped she understood why.::

Computer, Locate Zandile Rey

Zandile Rey is in Holodeck 2

::He thought to himself, "Hmm, thats actually quite convenient", and he made his way to the Holodeck 2 doors.::

Computer, Begin program McLaren 4 in 30 seconds

::He had to give his override codes because Zandile was already running her Yoga program, but he really wanted to surprise her. He walked into the Holodeck unnoticed and stood behind Zandile. The holoprogram changed and Zandile began to act in a surprised and confused manner, which was what he wanted.::

I thought maybe this place would be a little more interesting.

::He whispered into Zandile's ear, she until then still hadnt noticed him. They were standing in a field of Crystal-like shiny grass, infront of a large, beautiful waterfall. The field also had a circle of colorful flowers around the outside of it.::

::Zandile jumped in surprise as the music stopped and a huge waterfall appeared in front of her. She had been completly blocking out all outside senses for the last half hour, but now she felt Tyler's presence. He whispered in her ear, and she grinned.::

"Hi, Ty! When did you get off duty?" ::Zandile gave him a hug, then took in their surroundings.::

"Where are we, anyway?"::She asked, still getting over her surprise.::

Ensign Hrienteh entered the holodeck deep in thought about the events occurring on the ship.He was surprised to see a program already running.Looking he saw a huge waterfall and Ensign Baccus and Ensign Rey in the simulation.Hrienteh simply bowed his head."My apologies I did not mean to intrude." He turned away and headed for the exit.
