He was done with the set up for the EPM. Engineering team 1 had routed EPS and other necessary items for the creation of an Electrical Magnetic pulse weapon at the Sensor array Actually he and several others were in the Access room just behind the Array with he himself on the Ladder some 250 feet up from the deck making the last connection. === Finally he was on his way down he tapped his Com badge, "Lat to Engineering. Connely you hear me?" Connely was in engineering he had just finished the last power relay and route for the transfer of power, " Aye ready down here sir." Connely did not like Lat much oh he was a good Engineer perhaps one of the better ones but, he was Ferengi. Lat reached the Deck after with a sigh he spoke into the Com badge again. he knew of Connely's attitude but over looked it cause he was determined to win the Human over let him see he was not like most Ferengi. "Let her rip Connely." "Shouldn't we inform the Captain First?" Connely spoke into his badge. "He will Know as soon as you reroute that power after which I will inform him myself" Lat replied with an unseen frown on his face. "Just do it now ." With a growl Connely gave a one word reply as he hit the Switches and made power adjustments. "Aye" With that the Lights through out the ship would dim for a second or two Consoles would dim as well then just as quickly return to full power the only systems not effected were Transporters and Science and medical Quarantine Fields.

Crio's commentary cuts off as he looks carefully at the tricorder scans, and mutters something that cannot be translated, from his native language. From the tone, it was a remark of utter shock and disbelief.
(Loose translation: "No.... This is impossible.... It can't be still active..."))
His vocal inflections continued to be with the experienced engineer, and the slight feminine quality as he cross-checked the readings to get verification. A hint of the tone suggested how strong of a hatred toward the Borg that all the Ijoula hosts share, with the choice of words.
"I think we still have a live drone over here...
I hope Engineering has that EMP ready to go. It would be a good idea to make sure that all main and primary systems have been shielded from the effects of an EMP, as well. If more of those accursed things decide to come back this way..."
His tone and inflections then changed to one experienced in security, which he had done when he had returned from his first leave of absence on the Terrasect.
"Looks like it's on Deck Five, between sections fifteen and eighteen... Cadet, I think that's where your 'ghost' is at."

He would merely nod as Crio explained that the crack about gremlins is an ongoing Engineering joke to explain things that can't be explained. He thought about it a moment then concluded that it made sense
"You must have read my mind with regards to the condition of their warp core. The risk of a core breach was weighing heavily on my mind, as was the need to get off this ship quickly if the core did go critical. Given the damage already sustained, and all the power fluctuations and surges, it wouldn't take much to destabilize the core, and would absolutely reek havoc on anti-matter containment."
as Crio talked, he got the impression that It wasn't Crio talking, that it was someone else that was talking through him. He mentally shook his head I must be losing my mind. Perhaps a visit to the Counselor would be advisable. He thought to himself "I am sure it wouldn't commander, which is why I would suggest being careful over there" He said verbally "As for having your vision checked, I would recommend setting up a visitation as soon as all if you return. The last explosion seemed a bit close"
He watched as Crio and Kefira entered a TL. At that moment, the power on the bridge started to flicker for a few brief seconds and he began to ask for a report, then remembered the Engineering Chief's warning that the light would flicker when he was preparing the EPS pulse
He looked back to the screen as Crio mumbled a few things, presumably in his native tongue, then followed it up with "I think we still have a live drone over here...
I hope Engineering has that EMP ready to go. It would be a good idea to make sure that all main and primary systems have been shielded from the effects of an EMP, as well. If more of those accursed things decide to come back this way..."
Commander, if anything was alive over there, whether artificial or biological, our sensors would have picked them up" He hoped "What you could be detecting is that machine of yours that you have just found could be giving off intermittent sparks. If the contraption could be salvaged, perhaps we could transport it aboard and have a look at it to see what powers it and if we need to prepare an adequate defense for the next one" If there is a next one

Joint post between Commander Ijoula and Cadet Kefira.
Stops and looks around and then she faces him. "Commander this is the very spot that I thought I had saw something or someone move."
Crio looks around as he looks at the tricorder screen.
"Alright. The tricorder's picking up something here..."
He looks around the area, noting a fair amount of debris there, but the signature unmistakable on the screen.
He looks some more, and then focuses his wrist beacon on something on the deck. The object fit the description of what the sensors showed and was seen in the visual logs.
"Whoa! Now there's trouble..."
His gaze then meets Kefira's.
She had looked at what he was looking at with a frown. "Commander if that one is more powerful then the last one then the Terrasect could be in grave danger."
He nods slowly.
"I know.. Captain? I think we found the drone that caused all the carnage over here. Under the circumstances, I'm forced to agree with Kefira's observations here. If this thing could overwhelm the Jackson, then it's very likely that another one is on its way, and it's even stronger than what this one could do. For the safety of the ship and crew, I strongly urge you to place the ship on full alert, and deploy the ablative shielding. It's very likely that the one that's coming will be cloaked.
Given the damage we've witnessed here..." he trails off, worry for the Terrasect crew clearly written on his face.
Nodding as she tries to twitch her tail in her suit. "I am not sure if it would do any good with these being deployed but I feel it would be worth a shot at it. I suggest that a warning buoy is to be deployed to warn off any and all ships that might be passing this way. If the Terrasect is to go down like the Jackson did, then we would not want any more going down as well trying to find out what happened to us, Sir." He nods toward her, agreeing with her.
"I agree. I don't want it on my conscience of anymore friendly ships going down like this... I wouldn't be too quick to discount the Terrasect, though. She's a very tough, very sturdy ship. I personally know she's been in far worse odds, such as fighting an insanely well-armed ship from the future. I just hope those things don't start coming in pairs, though..."
His tone of voice clearly showed his level of concern for their crew mates, and their well-being.

Lat entered Main Engineering he imediately noticed his Assistant Engineer was working Frantically at the Warp Core main Console. As he walked up to Connelyhe Spoke. "What Wrong Ensign" Connely's eyes never left the Console nor did his hands stop working. "" Something is draining power from the Core sir"Lat went to the Console himself he looked at the readings then began entering Commands For the Computer. "The EMP we just set up?" Connely looked at the Ferengi and, frowned before he spoke. "According to Standard operating procedures I insulated the Circuits then set up the Sheild that protects us from an EMP device I then ran a Diagnostic that is when I found the drain in the System. It has nothing to do withthe EMP I checked Twice then had Evans recheck me again." After a few more seconds Lat Stepped awayfrom the Consol Studied Connely for a second in doing so he had to look up a bit as Connely was over 6 feet tall. "Agree it has to be an outside Source. Perhaps whoever damaged that Ship over there knows we are here.I want you to lower the power levels to all unnecessary systems 'Course that means replicaters, Turbo lifts etc. I Will try to set up a feild around the Core as I inform the Captain ." Tapping his Combadge he spoke.' "Ltjg La'ta'nm to The bridge Come in?" His voice sounded Urgent.
Lat had just finished setting up a Dampening feild when heard the Captain Reply, "Sir Something is draing power Directly from the Core. We have already taken precoutions and, slowed the Draw from the Core as much as we can as well as lowered power levels to nonessential systems. At the present rate we will have impulse Engines only in ten hours sir" We will be on Auxillary power in 11 hours. After that we will be dead in the Water sir

As he watched Kefira and Ijoula search for their sensor ghost, the Engineering Chief called the bridge, the urgency in his voice catching his immediate attention
The Chief reported there is a slow drain on the power systems and at the rate the drain is going, Impulse engines will fail in 10 hours, Auxiliary power in another 11 hours. He's slowed the rate of the power drain with a force field but it's not a permanent fix "Understood, Lieutenant. Do whatever you have to to find the source of the drain and fix it. Report back when you find it. Bridge out"
He focused back on the view screen just as Ijoula and Kefira found the culprit that brought down the Jackson. He listened to their discussion and then added to it "We can set the warning buoy or I have another option, we could destroy the Jackson as it is now a derelict, that would also save from other friendly ships falling into this same trap" He could hear the fear and concern in both their voices and he could help but be concerned himself. He is in command of this fine vessel. He is responsible for the lives of this crew, his friends.. and more importantly, he would not want to face Jim Harsting when he found out that his ship had been destroyed.
He was about to comment further when he heard Ijoula speak up, obviously hearing the Chief Engineer's report about the power drain...

Crio was about to add something more, when he heard a report about a mystery power drain.
"A power drain? Captain, that did not start before we left, if I remember correctly... If the source of that drain is coming from outside the ship..."
He goes cross-eyed for a few moments in deep thinking. After that interval, a look of shock spreads over his face.
He bites his lip, bracing for a potential charge of insubordination to be leveled against him for what gnaws at him.
"Lieutenant Greyhouse... if the ablative shielding has not yet been deployed, deploy it NOW!" he ordered with great urgency in his voice.
He knew as he said it that if he was wrong, he would be in for a stern lecture when he got back. But if his instincts were spot-on...
"It's very likely that we already have company in the area, sir..."

He gave a nod to Ijoula "That is correct. The power drain didn't start until..." He was cut off by Ijoula's order to Lieutenant GreyHouse, about raising the alabative shielding, his ears flicking back in surprise
Something must have occured to his first officer to issue such an order and at such a sense of urgency. He turned and gave a nod to the Tactical officer, trusting in the instincts of his first officer, and those of his own, that something is wrong
Turning back to the screen "If something is in the area commander, sensors have yet to detect it"

Engineering sensors would determine that power is being drained from the ship and siphoned to an small area 50,000 kilometers off the port nacelle and it's not just in engineering. This power drain is affecting the whole ship
Sensors on the bridge would pick up a small vessel, trying to maintain a cloaking system, but with the power it was siphoning from the Terrasect, that is near impossible to do. Tactical analysis is inconclusive

She heard the order from the Commander and attempted to raise the ablative sheilding. Her sensors alerted her to a vessle, There is a vessle small in size...its the cause of the power drain. Tactical sensors are not able to get too much information on it other then that its cloak is fluxing because of the incomming power from our ship that its taking in. She worked her pannel the best she could to raise the sheilding, Still trying to raise the sheilding sir the power fluxtuations are making it hard to deploy tactical systems and defensive ablities of the ship though, sir.

Lat sounded perfectly calm now well except for the Frustration in his voice along with the urgency. " Captain?" Did not wait for a response," this is Enginering 50,000Klm of the port Nacelle All systems effected. We could try to over loadwhatever is trying to drain our systems by setting up a feedback loophowever with at the power it would take and, if it did not work " A pause " We would not have enough power for a second try"

Stepping out of place again and starts taking over as if she were in command. "Captain you need to take the Terrasect out of range now. Forget about us because if you drop shields then it could attack the ship and the crew would very badly hurt or even worst, dead. The Command..." Stops realizing what she just done. "Sorry Commander, go on."

He heard both GreyHouse and the Chief Engineer report that 50,000 off the port nacelle was a small ship that he hoped would never come, and yet it was already here. Commander Ijoula had been warning him that another would come, just the question of when. Now the Terrasect was in danger of falling into the same situation as the Jackson, unless he stopped it
"Chief Engineer, Is there a way to slow the rate of drain of the power systems, to thin out the power being drained away? If so, do it" Turning toward Helm, he would instruct the canine officer, "Thrusters only, back us off, give us some distance" Looking at GreyHouse, he'd order "Give them a blast from the phasers. See if we can't break their beam and cause some damage" Destroying them out right would be good, but he doubted it would be that easy
He paused to listen to the Cadet as she spoke up.. and out of line. By the time she finished, his tail and whiskers were twitching "I am well aware of the situation, Cadet. I am doing what I can to save this ship and crew" slight pause "All of them"

He overheard that the sensors already picked up such a device zeroing in on them, and that it was what was draining the power.
"Sir, respectfully, if that thing is eating energy, the phasers will only make it that much stronger." he warned.
He was worried and that could be heard in his voice by those who knew him well.
"It will likely mask itself if it detects a weapons lock on it, so you'll have to manually target that device."

He heard the Captain's response then the closing of the channel to Engineering he looked to Connely, who gave an audible sigh . "You heard him lets get it done." Both Connely and, Lat now stood side by side at the Core Console when Lat suddenly had an Idea. He smacked his forhead once then absently Spoke aloud to himself. "Of Course" he smiled then looked to Connely. "When I was stationed at the Romulan neutral zone I often studied cloaking devises as to their abiliy to mask Energy flow. " Connely looked at the Ferengi and rolled his eyes. "That helps us how?" Lat smiled thenmoved to the main Engineering Console just above the Pool Table
