He looked up from his PADD as the doctor came back in with, upon closer look, was a model of an ear and an eye. As he explained what he wants to do his eyes followed to the points where he had indicated, the ear drum, where he wanted to go in and replace it with another artificially created ear drum that's made in the lab next door ~ cloned, maybe? ~ he thought as the doc continued to explain
His left brow lifted a bit, in concern and he felt a twinge of fear, especially when the doc explained about going in through the mouth to get to the cochlea and replace that one with an artificial one "Going through the mouth? sounds like that might hurt a bit" nervous chuckle, then he grew a little more serious "Sounds like an interesting plan to me, Doctor. As long as I'm knocked out for this, then I'll go along with it
He listens as the Doctor explains the procedure to fix the eyes, chuckling a bit as he mentioned the laser surgery to correct the eyes in the early 21st century was more guessing then exact science "Yeah, things were just getting started back then where it cost as little as 300 dollars an eye to perform this kind of thing, sometimes it cost more then that. I thought about doing it then but I just couldn't afford something like that. I imagine in the last 400 years or so you guys would perfect it more"
He chuckles a little more, waiting for the doctor's response

he nodded "yes, you would be 'knocked out' and thanks to modern medicine you wont feel a thing even after the surgury... I can assure you, we've come along way since the barbaric form of medicine you remember. You wont even have a scar... Theres really nothing for you to be nervous about, I personally believe my medical staff is the best in starfleet. Just let me know if you want to go with the operation, if you do I just need you to take a few things for a couple days before the operations, just things that will help it go more smoothly, then the day before the ear operation you'd need to see my nurse to have your ears completely cleaned out, just makes it more... clean" he smiled slightly waiting to hear Aidens response.

He looked amused when the doctor said that things have gotten better since the "barbaric" ways that he was used to then went on to say that he firmly believes that he has the best medical staff in Star Fleet. He just nodded, going along with what he said since He's the only medical staff he knows in Starfleet
To confirm what he said just a moment ago, he said "Doc, I already mentioned that I am wanting to go through with the operation" not meaning to be rude, then curiously, he asks "What do I need to take"?
He gave a nod to the doc when he mentioned that a day before the surgery on his ears, he needed to come in to see the nurse so he/she could clean his ears "I usually keep my ears pretty clean anyways, since my ears kind of.. sweat with my aids in"
he paused to let the doctor respond

he handed Aiden two small jars with a type of eye dropper then pointed to the first one "the first one is for your ears is has a chemical that will help to break down the ear wax prior to surgury" points to the other jar "and this one is basically eye drops with a special dye, the dye of course wont harm your eyes and you wont be able to see it, but during the operation when I start it will show up, just helps indicate where I need to put the laser so its more accurate, with combined with the dye and the laser I can get your eyes to be better than a perfect 20/20" he held the two jars to him "go and take them and come see me tomorrow... Around 17:00?"

He blinks and looks at the two jars the doctor places in the palms of his hand, then listens to his explanation of what they are. One is for his ears, it'll help break down any ear wax that's in there and keep the ears clean. The other is for the eyes, to prep them for the laser surgery
He looks surprised as he looked back to the doctor, as he mentioned that he could get his vision to better then 20/20 "I didnt think that were possible.. I guess it is now in this day and age"
He then takes off his glasses, and the doctor would see the cornea of his right eye tilt off toward the right What can you do about "lazy eyes"? I forgot to mention that too. sorry"
He hoped the doctor wouldn't be too mad at him for that over-sight

He shook his head when the doctor asked if there were any more over-sights
"Nope, that's pretty much it" He got up to go "So.. I'll see you tomorrow at 17oo hours then?
He waited for the doctor's confirmation

He gave a nod, looking slightly amused when the doctor says to follow the directions on the bottles. "Will do, Doc"
With that he leaves to go to his quarters
The following evening, he returns at 1655, 5 minutes early. He tells a nurse to let the doctor know that he's here for his appointment

The nurse takes him back to a waiting room where Dr. Devoroh was already waiting for him "okay, you ready for this? Just go ahead and lay down on the bed" The bed was an anti-grav gurney, so it was actually hovering there "then I want you to relax, okay? We'll be done before you know it"

He followed the nurse back to where the doctor was waiting. He gave a nod to the doct when he asked if he was ready "I'm ready when you are, doc" he would say before glancing to the floating thing that was sitting, er, hovering there
Both his brows went up as he had never see a gurney that floated before, much less been on one
He took off his glasses, perhaps for the last time and took out his hearing aides. When he done so, the sound in the room was reduced by at least one-third, but he was still able to hear. He put his instruments on a nearby desk and walks over to the floating gurney. He slowly and carefully layed down upon it, half expecting fall off the thing but he didn't. He then tried to relax and waited for the doctor to put him under

::the doctor is currently with another patient but a male nurse approaches Ivy to give her an update on Lt. Greathouse's condition:: as you know. Lt. Greathouse recieved a substatual blast to his chest, he's currently stabilized but in a drug induced coma so he doesn't move around and cause injury to his wound, he's being prep'd for surgury right now and visitation is currently unautherized, any questions?"

"I cant answer that, that needs to be determined by the doctor after Clyde recieves his post-surgury evaluation, after that and the doctor determines if Clyde is ready I'll let you know"
