Clara listened as T'Lar asked her about crew morale and if she needed anything."I have been slow here so that is good, from my observations the crew morale is good. They are tense because of our current mission but that is normal.
Sipping her tea,"As for me I must admit it is hard being CNS and acting CMO but I will get used ti it."

T'Lar would listen to what the Counselor had to say and then gave an agreeable nod.
"Under the circumstances, yes, there would be a natural reaction to the mission. Depending on the person's personality. But as for me, being tense would be illogical for me since it would be considered acting out on an emotion. Added duties could cause one to be exhausted at times."
T'Lar would stand up.
"I must be going. If there is anything of concern, Captain Sowren and I would always listen to them."
After Clara would reply to her, T'Lar would gave a nod and then walked out the CNS's office.

:: He walks up to the counselor's door and hits the chime. He stands over 7' tall, weighing 600+pounds. He is in Ops gold and he wears a gravity regulator on his belt, without it it's likely that he'd fall through the floor, or break a chair, or something to that nature. Most of his family despises therapists, but he has found it neccessary to attend sessions regularly to maintain his calm, collected, and still menacing composure::

Hearing the chime Clara neatly stacked her paper work and PADD up neatly."Come on in its open."She was surprised when she saw the new Ensign enter.
"Hello how are you today?,would you care for something to drink?" She motioned him to have a seat. He was huge but her training had prepared her for anything.

:: he walks to the chair, the deck pulses with his footsteps. He notices that he won't fit in her chair, so he sits on the sofa:: Coffee would be wonderful counselor, black coffee.
I just wanted to stop by and introduce myself. My name's Park Delarion. I figured, since there are only 2 of my species in starfleet, that we should meet and get to know each other a little better. Oh ::hands her a PADD:: My Psychological profile and personel file.
::He stands up so that she can get a good look at him. his orange eyes, a little lighter than his skin, look int hers:: We're the Brikar, we're from the southern edge of the beta quadrant. Most of my people are very very hostile, especially towards "fragile" species. I too, can have a very nasty temper. Which is why i need counseling odccasionally.
::he sits back down:: I have to wear this gravity supression belt so that i don't fall through the floor. Our gravity is half that of a normal M Class planet, and all of my people weigh at least 200 kilos. I have a tendency to frighten people, i can see you're a little startled yourself...

::Smiling as she hands him the coffee and takes the PADD::."Yes I was a little startled at your size but the fact you came to talk to me shows a great willingness to help yourself."
::Looking at his PADD::"Yes I can see you have aggressive tendencies but since you told me that is your peoples way it is in your nature. And from what I read you do a great job keeping that in check."
::Sitting on the edge of her table:: "So tell me Ensign is there anything in particular that seems to help you?Or would you like to try some of my techniques?"

:: he takes the cup of coffee and takes a sip:: Mmm... well counselor I'm very interested in what kind of techniques you have in mind. I usually go to the holodeck and break things. ::he smiles showing his pearly whites under that orange exterior:: But that's what I'd like to avoid.
::he takes another sip of coffee:: It takes a lot to upset me Counselor. However I'd like to eliminate my temper entirely... if thats possible. I'd like to know what I can do. ::He finishes the coffee:: That's great coffee by the way. ::clears his throat::

::Smiling:: I myself like to use relaxation techniques.I often have crew members meditate. This can be done in your room or a peaceful spot on the Holodeck.
::Sipping her own coffee::I also feel that just talking often helps as well. Many people myself included often have problems getting to the root of their frustrations.
Talking often helps one get to the root of this anger.
::Standing up::I wish we could wipe out our tempers but that is imposable.Even Vulcan's have tempers they just never show it.The best we can hope for is learning to control our tempers.
You know their are times when used appropriately tempers are very useful. They can motivate you as well as let you set boundaries.
For now why don't we set up weekly appointments? If your anger gets out of control please use the Holodeck. If you need to talk to me immediately just come to my office.
I am glad you like the coffee, would you care for another cup?

:: he chuckles at the holodeck comment and hands her his coffee cup:: Yes certainly I'll have some more, thanks.
And you bring up several verry good points. I guess me trying to get rid of my temper is like a betaxoid trying to supress their emotions. It probably wont work will it? I find something very small can sometimes upset me more than life's larger inconveniences. If i get angry i really dont think its a good idea for me to your office, but I will remember your offer. Anything else besides talking that might calm these nerves Counselor?

::Hands him another cup of coffee::Well as I mentioned there are several types of relaxation techniques.I think you should try some of the more basic concepts first.
::sitting back down::Why don't you practice listening to soothing music and turn down the lights in your quarters.Close you eyes and listen only to the music.Let it carry you away so to speak and try to let go of what ever is frustrating you.
I would start out one 30 minutes a day for a week then work up too an hour. Why don't you try that for now and if that does not help along with our weekly sessions we can try something different.
::She waited for him to to see what he thought.::

::he laughs:: Soothing Music is not really my style. I'll see what I can do about that... ::he sips His new cup of coffee and stands::
Thanks for your help counselor, I'm sure I'll see you again soon.
