Chuckling a little, eyeing the truffles with a little of his displayed enthusiasm. "If this is that potent, should we be indulging now? We do have shifts to keep, after all."
He grins, starting in on the dessert with an enthusiasm belaying his comment. Looking up after a couple of bites, "But if we don't live dangerously now and again, then we get to be boreing old codgers don't we?"

"Well, its not that potent. Just enough to let ya know you had ma's trifle. But as children we had the non-alcohol type. Of course we were allowed to think we could drink." She started laughing. She finished her coffee and dessert then put the dishes in the reclaimer.
She looked at the time and smiled. Then sat on the couch.

Finishing his Trifle, and enjoying every bite of it, espcecially since it had been mande by such a beautiful hand, he looks up. A mischeivious gling sparkles in his eye as he glances at Deb, "So this is the cooking you grew up on. I can see why you are so beautiful. Beautiful cooking brings about beautiful people."
He recycles the last of his dishes, keeping only the wine glass, and follows her over to the couch.
"Mind if I join you?" Grinning, he doesn't wait for her responce, but settles down beside her, his arm trailed along the back of the couch, behind her neck.

She softly laughed at his compliment.
"Why thank you. I'll have to tell my ma, but I can tell ya already what she'll say. She would say you kissed the Blarney Stone. As a child, our parents took us one year to see the Blarney Stone. Before you ask," a playful glint was in her eyes. "yes I was dared to kiss the stone and I did."
Deb began to laugh at the memory.

Looking at Deb, his head tilted to one side in puzzlement, "What is the Blarny stone? I've never heard of it. But, I also have not had a chance to get back to Earth much either.
"I was there for the Academy, but due to the course schedule they had me on, I didn't have much time to leave campus. It was all study, sleep, take the tests, and go back to studying. They seemed to think that because I knew what I was doing, I didn't have to be there that long. So, I was rushed through."
He turns his head to the other side, with a small smile playing accross his lips. "And, how could I be lying when I tell the truth?"

Darius Decided it had been far far to long since he troubled sending a letter back home, ( home being of course where ever General Weslynes was these days and that ship of hers happened to take her) Sitting back in a comfortable place at his desk Darius slipped the Pen around in his hands thinking on how to begin this letter
"Dear Jen " Crossing that out and muttering something about it all being to human and staarting anew as the machine in his hand made a brief hiss erasing the data.
"My Imzadi" There better he thought to himself at least it was starting to sound like himself again. "the days on the Frontier are long the shifts most unplesent the Admiral a total Pill to handle making me do this that and the other thing next I know i'll find myself bustling around in waste management or fooling about in engineering. as you can tell I know its been a long time since we have written. that does in no way indicate that you have fallen from my heart only that i've attempted to occupy my time during this long absence with my job and the matters of the security and safety of this crew however that may happen to profit us all. I've missed you though I can feel you a system away so close yet so far away. When we have the free time perhaps we can travel back to Betazed take sometime out of our research and securing preimeters and making alliences long enough for a good climb in the mountians or a picnic in the shade" Chuckling he added " or who knows maybe we could invite your mother over for some tea and a dinner" Laughing so hard he almost knocked over his work he continued" Either way Imzadi know that you are loved missed and thought of always till I can hold you in my arms once more all my love and thoughts are with you even ten systems away ,feel me always ,love me always. with Love Darius

After reading his message several times she this one to him.
My love,
It was been too long since we talked. I have missed you so badly. My nights are lonely, and the days are long. I have so much to tell you, and show you.
I received a transmission from you mother. She was concerned not hearing from you for so long. I assured her you were well. She reminded me that a little one will never come to us, if we are not together. For the first time your mother had me laughing. I believe we have started to bond. But I doubt she will ever fully accept me. It is her loss and not mine.
My mother, are you sure your up to that? she laughs. I would love to go rock climbing with you again, and picnic at the crest of the rock face. Looking down at the valley, and being so close to the sky feeling you could touch the clouds.
My love hurry back I await you. Always your in heart and mind. Jen

The Blarney Stone is a blue cornerstone in Blarney Castle, which is found in Cork county, Ireland. It is said that if you kiss the stone you will have the gift of gab, and well an untruth will seem like the truth. But you sir, simply have the gift of gab. That is not so bad you know."
"Now here is what happen according to the stories that are told and handed down. Queen Elizabeth 1, of England demanded from Dermot McCarthy, the ruler of the castle to surrender his fortress to her as proof of his loyalty. But always he would have an answer or excuse as to why at that time he could not comply. Soon this became the joke of the court. Now once when the Queen heard yet another excuse she was quoted as saying, "Odds bodikins, more Blarney talk." She took a sip of her Irish coffee smiling. "Now if you wonder how such a stone got its power the story is this. An old woman was saved from drowning by the king of Munster. He was rewarded with a spell that if he would kiss a stone at the castle top he would gain a speech that would win all to him."
"Another claims it is part of the stone of Scone. Which it is told, was the very pillow of Jacob who dream of wondrous things including the ladder to heaven, and a prophesy of a famine. A very special stone to the Scots. All their Kings and Queens are crowned with the stone being present. They call it the Stone of Destiny, and was so important to them that the Royals in England want it to break their spirit and force the acceptance of their rule by taking the stone to London and use to crown the royals there." "Now you may be asking if this is so important to the Scots why do we have half of the Scone Stone. Well, when we assisted the Scots in battle against the English as the Scots called them. A Scot noble "Sir Bruce of the Scots" gave it us as thanks for the support" Here is a picture of Blarney Castle. And here is the cornerstone itself the Blarney stone.

Will could not sleep, finally he gave up and decided too go for a walk.As he roamed the corridors he found himself in front of Debs quarters.
He started to walk away but stopped,he needed to talk to someone and he preferred another marine.Slowly he rang the chime."Man she is going to kill me for this," he muttered softly.

She was sleeping when she heard someone at the door. She grumbled, grabbed her robe and put it on.
Looking to see who it was at this hour she opened the door.
"Will are you alright come in." She stood to the side while he walked in.

She pulled her robe tigher and then belted it. She followed him into the living area.
"Let me get us some tea, it always helps. While I get it, Will tell me what troubles you."

He took a seat while she was getting the tea."Since I have been on the Frontier I have fought Cardassians,Klingon's,heck even weird Avian humanoids.I have seen people die." Stopping for a second,"Sure its been scary at times but I have never really been scared. When I married Tirina I was ok then she has a dangerous job as well." "Since we had our son though things have changed.I have found myself worrying about him what if he had to grow up without a mother or father?I know this sounds silly but I am really worried about this."

Debbie brought over the cups of tea and set them down on the table.
"I have to agree we have certainly come across some interesting adversaries along with the usual. But, we all knew that once we put on the green. I read somewhere, that we all have to walk and we must choose it. You, Sowren and myself, have chosen a path with uncertainly clearly shown."
"People like us, we need the uncertainly, the changes, the risk involved. There must be some real worry cause of your boy. But kind of parent would you be if you didn't follow your calling?'
She sat back and took a sip of her tea.

He sipped his tea as he listened,"You know Deb you are right.I signed up with the Corps without a second thought.I knew it was the right thing to do." "If I did not do what I thought was right and still do I would be a lousy father who second guessed his life from now on."Chuckling,"You sure you are not a CNS?"
