R&R time to unwind

She motioned for her sit. "There is no need to stand, unless your more comfortable. I agree with the drills. Major Iverson has already been notified to begin that. However, her son has just arrived. I have decided to give her a few hours to be with him before beginning those drills. Both Colonel Allen and I thought it best to have them reunited, instead of risking losing her."

Her antenna remained curved towards her. "She has extensive field experience. And came to us from the 101st where she was the executive officer. Since, your the acting XO," she slides a padd over to her. "Here's her service record. I'm sure your agree with us on her merit and value."

She gave her a few minutes to scan the record. "On our last mission she was held captive and tortured, after being kidnapped. She didn't crack, and found a way to get her cell mate out. Its all in there. As for the upcoming problem. She like you has had experience with pirates."

"Now, the other officer who will have an active role in the mission is Lt Saris." Her antenna began rigid, and then relaxed slightly. "You will need to set aside your personal feelings, remember what is past is past. This is the present and thats what counts."
"Have you any thoughts on the upcoming mission?"

She entered transporter room 2, and a smile that went from ear to ear surfaced as she looked at her son. He had grown so much, she just stood there for a minute. The transporter chief held him, and smiled at her.

"Well, Major as I said he's a little on the small size for a Marine. But I think you might have some use for him." Jake started to laugh as he handed Davy to Sandy.

Cradling him she looked at his face, smiling tears came to her eyes. She kissed him and whispered to him, "You look just like your dad."

"Ma'am, I've transported all his things directly to your quarters."

"Thank you Jake."

She wanted to make sure the trip here had no ill effects on him and took him to sick bay for a fast check up.

She sat down and looked at the PADD. " I agree Major Iverson experience vill be most valuable and Lt Saris is not an issue for me I vill do my job vith no bias Ma'am." She hands the PADD back to her. "I only have suggestion for our mission; ve elevate our state of readiness to Condition Three." As she waited for Major Aniri to reply the Doctor paged her. " Major Kaine...this is Doctor Rugter...I would like to see you in sickbay for your physical. "

She tapped her Combadge. " I vill be there shortly Doctor." She looked to Major Aniri. " Vith your permission Ma'am?"

She watched as Major Kaine left her office and went back to the last stages of the mission plan.

Once she was done she got up then left for office. She headed to Five Forward where she most of the crew went.

Leave was extended to allow for the holidays, now its time to move on.
