She looked over her shoulder to make sure everyone had left then she turned back to Major Aniri. " Permission to speak freely Ma'am"

During the Major's speech she tried to hide her smile, but she still blushed a little. Kasia still found it difficult to accept praise that was directed toward her, she usually attributed it to Kaz. She exits the ready room and looks out to the bridge. She wonders if she could steal a few minutes to check up on Bridge operations.
She goes to the Ops station nodds briefly to the officer there and takes a glance at what was going on on the bridge. While she loved being a nurse, she hoped she could get in a word with the captain or the major sometime about taking a bridge duty shift to vary her routine up.
It was always her belief that she should stay on top of all of her training not just her medical.
She continues to observe bridge operations for a few minutes.

" Major I know Saris is one of yours.....but I hope your faith in her is not misplaced. Her old squad trusted her and most of them ended up dead."

"With respect Major you have not been here, nor have you seen Lt Saris in action. Not one person, on one world, in any military has been or will be perfect." her antennas were moving rapidly. "Such is the case with Lt Saris."
"We all are in a state of changing who we are, and if a past mistake is held against us forever we lose that ability to change into what we are meant to be. I've looked over her record, especially since you came aboard. With what the Terran's call a magnifying glass."
She sat down again and looked at the Major, waving her to sit down. "The incident you use to judge her, was investigated throughly, and she was cleared of any wrong doing. And from the facts I read, rightly so. In any combat, or armed confrontation, there will be, unfortunately loses. On both sides."
Leaning forward in her chair, almost in a conspirator's way. "I will tell something of my life, something I rarely do. However, in this case I find it imperative that I do. Perhaps this will also bring us closer as a command team."
"On Andor, both my sister and I were in the Home Guard. We were stationed in the Northern wastelands. Her outpost was 1000 kilometers from mine. Our sensors picked up that an authorized ship landed. Her base was closer to the object then we were. She volunteered to investigate, she and her team left. The trek there was longer then anticipated, since the last storm created more hazardous conditions then were known." She reached for her water and took a long sip.
Allowing this to set in. It was hard for non Andorians to understand how very harsh and unforgiving her world was.
"Her commander was concerned at the how long it was taking for them to check in. And was already forming a rescue team. When he received a communication from them. It was short, simple and to the point. We are under attack, the ship is unknown."
Aniri looked down for a moment, her antenna dropping. "My sister died that day. Three months later, I demanded to read the report and was allowed to. Here is what happened, a ship crashed landed, the people unable to understand us, feared the worse and attacked."
"For months, I blamed her commander, so much so, I considered calling the Usshan. He would have taken me, without question. I was sent elsewhere for a while mostly to grieve and receive counseling to move past this. Which I did."
"I understand your feelings more then you realize. Lexi, I tell you this, stand back and look at the situation. Not with your heart but with you intellect. Place yourself there, and you will find that there was nothing she or you could have done. We all have a season, it was his last season as it was my sisters last season."
"Finally, if we are to work together you will need to drop this vendetta. Read the report and seek the counseling you need. Then read what she has done since being here. If you do you will see what I see."
She looked at her and waited for her response. She could have told her more but it was unnecessary. But she was firm on her decision and in her belief of Lt. Saris.

After a few minutes Kasia left the bridge and went down to sickbay. She knew technically she was off duty and she should relax, but she was a work aholic. Kasia went into her office to look over nursing reports to see what she had missed in the last few hours.

(Before 1300 hours)
Justin looked over towards Major Kaine and gave a nod in agreement of how impressive the ship was. He continued to listen to what she had to say to him. He looked at the schedule that was on the engineering console and noticed that there wsn't an upgrade for the pulse cannon turrents and looked back up at her.
"Understand, Ma'am. I'll see if I can get the turrents on the next schedule upgrades.", he said to her before she left. After she left, Justin looked back at the engineering console and worked up the updates. Then looked to see if there were any other updates that would be needed.
(After 1300 hours)
By now, it is thirteen houndred hours and Justin picked up the PADD of new engineering information. Justin noticed that it won't be long before his duty shift would come and decided just to stay in engineering. Plus, he could look over reports before he made any major changes. He went into his office and sat down at his desk. One by one, he looked through the engineering reports.

She sat down anf listened to Major Aniri. " Poor Saris cast as both victim and villain by Fate. I respect your opinion of Lt Saris and your right, I have not see her in action here. But I to know of the facts but I do not vish to debate them with you. I vant to work vith you and I vill trust in your assessment of who Vash Saris is now." She leaned back in to her chair.
" Since you shared a part of your life vith me I vill do same. Vhen I found out my brother vas killed. Hate vas all I knew, it built my vorld, it imprisoned me, taught me how to eat, how to drink, how to breathe. Hate vas all that kept me going during the war. Maybe after so long hate is all I have, but don't vorry it vill not effect how I do my job. " She stood up " If that is all Major I vill get ready for duty." She waited to be dismissed

She looked at her, antenna slightly curved in her direction. Jay knew she heard her words but that was about it.
"Major, I warn you the hate you carry has the capacity to hurt you, your career, and your standing with any crew your with. That is all I will say on this subject. Just make sure it does not interfere with this ship. Am I clear?"

After finishing reading the reports Kasia decided to go to the lounge to actually relax instead of work. She had to keep reminding herself that she couldnt work 24/7. It just wasnt physically possible.
