She nodded and turned to Kaz. "Very nice to meet you Lt. Kas to have Senior officer speak so highly of you says much about you."

As they both stood there she, she stood up, walking around the desk she stood in front of them for a minute. She looked to Major Kaine to get the black boxes containing the new pips ready.
"PFC Greathouse, I have watched you the past few months. And during the encounter with the aliens and the resulting attack on the Tarawa, your actions were commendable. It gives me great pride to say your one of us."
She reached out and removed his pips then taking the box from Major Kaine she took out the new pips, and while placing it on him, "David Greathouse, From this day forward you are accorded all the rights and privileges of the rank Lance Corporal."
She stood back and saluted him.
She then turned her attention to Lt Saris.
"Lt Saris, you can aboard the Tarawa as a ground Marine who was given security. That was quite a change for you. Since then I have watched you grow and mature. You have made yourself stand out as a Marine and a woman."
She reached for the box from Major Kaine, walking to her she took off the pips.
"Varis Saris it gives me great pride to say your one of us. From this day forward you are accorded all the rights and privileges of the rank pf 1st Lt."
She stood back and saluted her.

She looked away and rolled her eye's at what Saris said. She thought to her self now she decides to become a good officer.

He returns her Salute"Thank You Ma'am" he replies
He looks at Saris when Major Aniri speaks to her, and thinks to him self "Yes she is" then he sees Major Kaine roll her eyes

Exiting the TL onto the bridge, he turned and headed for the Captain's RR, ringing the chime
He then entered on the Major's "Enter" seeing the others already assembled there, including one he's not seen before. A quick glance to her collar and he saw that she held the rank of Major
He then turned his attention to Major Aniri, snapping a salute in her direction "Ensign Moon, reporting in as ordered, Ma'am".

As he stands at Attention he hears the chime and Major Aniri calls enter, the doors open then he hears Moon report and chuckles to him self

She looked at Ensign Moon noting he was a few minutes late. Had he been any later he would have missed his chance for promotion. He was lucky nothing held him up. Standing in front of them she took the box from Major Kaine.
"Ensign Moon, very little escapes me. And in the past few months, you have proven yourself. You have always been ready to jump in and cover for someone else, when needed. You have followed orders given to you and always in a timely manner."
"Melvin Moon, from this day forward you are accorded all the rights and privileges of the rank Lt jg." She saluted him and stepped back.
"Congratulation's to all of you, and keep up the good work."

He just blinked at the Major in total surprise, hoping his outward appearance didn't mirror the surprise that he felt on the inside, as Major Aniri presented him his new pips/bar. If it did, his lower jaw would be on the floor
He then took the box she handed him and then gave her another salute
"Thank you, Major. I shall endeavor to serve this ship in the same manner as I have already been doing, if not more"
He watched as Major Aniri stepped back and address the assembled group as a whole "Congratulations to all of you, and keep up the good work."
He belted out a crisp "Yes, Ma'am!"

He antenna moving in a slightly more excited fashion she looked at them once more.
"Dismissed."
She noted that as the others left Major Kaine remained. Jay figured she had a few things to say. Considering the amount of tension between Saris and herself. Besides Jay had a few words on that subject too.

When the assembled company was dismissed, he made an about face and left. He sighed in relief that it didn't take too long. He turned and headed for the TL, then paused. He turned and looked toward his relief at Tactical.
His relief reported nothing out of the ordinary and then said congratulations on his promotion. Melvin smiled his thanks and that he was quite surprised at the promotion. His relief said that it was well deserved and he just nodded.
Mel then stated that he needed to get back with his date and his relief looked a bit surprised asking "your date"?
Mel nodded again, confirming "his date"
His relief then made shoo-ing gestures "go go, don't keep her waiting, man"
Mel nodded one last time, "you're right" He then continued to the TL and entered, making his way back to his own quarters, hoping Zarlena is still there

When they were dismissed he watch Moon hurry and leave he chuckles quietly then looks at Saris Salutes her "Congratulations Ma'am"
Smiling "Think I'll return to 5Fwd want finish the Computation" he asks
