"Excellent thats exactly what we need. I look forward to this opportunity to work with your department."
Walking out she entered the TL, "Computer Marine deck" and faced forward. Tapping on her comm badge.
"Lt Connor report to my office as soon as your finished what your doing. Iverson out."
As the TL stopped she got out walking the short distance to her office. She entered her access code then went directly to the terminal to make sure the recordings where there.
She got a cup of tea with honey and lemon. Then waited for Connor to enter.

She heard the Major and pushed her paper work to the side.She was anxious to maybe hear what was going on.
She walked out of her office walked the short distance and rang the Majors chime.

Hearing the chime she looked up, "Enter" . Seeing her xo she smiled and then gestured to a seat.
"You want something to drink before I begin."

She was surprised at the Major's informality when she entered her office.
Taking a seat,"Coffee would be great Ma'am."She sat there having the feeling this mission would be no cake walk.

She waited for Conner to get her coffee, then she began.
"Heres the deal. The Vulcans were working on some sort of new propulsion system using temporals. Seems like they did a major miscalculation, or something. Anyways they created a temporal rift." [/color][/font]
She took a sip of her tea.
"Following this rift an unknown space ship suddenly appeared. It attacked the Science Facility, and as expected it was destroyed. Those stations rarely have good defensive systems."
"The USS Boston received a distressed call from them, they responded, and where destroyed as well. The Coral Sea then went to the scence. The unknown hostiles fled, the Coral Sea then looked for survivors. I believe they needed time to allow weapons to recharge and to get as much intell as possible."
"The prevailing theory is this new hostile is a member of a warrior race. Which gives us an added dimension. As such we can expect them to be well versed in combat, and will not high tail it out as the first sign of a confrontation."
"Now I want you to watch this recording. Do it as a Commanding Marine who is about to send out their troops."
"Also if you have any questions ask them"

As she listened she kept her face impassive as hard as it was.She watched the recording and asked a few times for a rewind.
She took a sip from her coffee."If this is all the concrete evidence we have to go on then I would have the troops ready for bear."
"They are willing to fight and I would expect them to be ready and willing to go hand to hand."
"I would have the Marines on full alert armed and ready.I would also work close with security and expect boarders."
"I would think they are most likely confused and that makes them more dangerous."
"To be honest Ma'am I would have the Marines expecting one Hell of a fight and be ready for it."
She sat there her eyes on the Major.

"Agreed. We will need an intensive drill before we get there and meet the hostiles. Also make sure our EV suits are full readiness. Lets be ready for anything."

He gave a brisk nod when the Colonel stated that he wanted full scans from here on out. When the meeting was adjourned, he stepped out behind the others and went straight to his tactical console and got bisy tapping commands into it. Shields, Phasers arrays and torpedos were made ready, but not active yet. Sensors were put of full scan. While he was thinking about it, he checked the output for the phaser modifications. He frowned, not liking the numbers. He called down to Engineering
"Bridge to Engineering.. Chief, can you increase the phaser power by 125 megajoules and maybe can tap into the warp power? That would give them the punch they need"
He waited for a response

She listened to the Major and nodded when she told her to wake up.She watched the recording again.She knew she was missing something.
What could it be?"Major I will be the first to admit when I am wrong or I do not know something."

"Look at screen immediately after the science facility went bang. To your left top corner, then after the Coral Sea entered the picture look at the middle of the screen, dead center in the debris field. Watch what looks like a piece of the Boston's hull."
"Finally in the last segment look at the top of the screen dead center. Watch, in each instance there is a flicker, its fast but during the on part of flicker there is a brief outline."
"Now watch and tell me what you think."

Kasia was still deep in thought her mind racing with differrent scenarios. She notices the doctor is talking about her ans nodds. "We should also try to get sickbay completly cleared out of all paitents, and store all of the science experiments some where else. You never know when we might need the extra room. As well I will start scheduling extra nurses for duty shifts just in case."

Looking closely at the debris field where the Major had pointed out,"Its a cloaked ship I can't believe I missed it."
"So we have a ship that can cloak as well?What did the Colonel say about it?'
She could kick herself and made a mental note to pay very close attention to detail.

He left the Ready Room not saying a word his mind deep in thought.He entered the TL and took the short ride to the fighter hangar bay.
He went straight to his office and hit the COMM."Attention all personnel we are now in ready alert status.I want every fighter armed and ready to go in one hour."
"Lets get a move on it people I want engines fired up and all launch tubes with a fighter in it."
He walked outside his ground crew helping get into his EV flight suit.
He climbed into his fighter and did a complete systems check.Once he got the thumbs up he moved his fighter to the ready alert launch pad.

"No, your the only one I showed this to. But thats why I asked for a copy of the recording. I wanted to view it again and see what you thought. Well after watching it with a few times I knew I was right when I first spotted the flicker."
"Now before we tell him, lets see what else we can make out of the outline. Lets say in 10 mins we let him know."
"I want you to look at the outline of the ship and determine its shape, if you can. I'm gonna do some extrapolating and figure out how far they have developed this. Also, I've asked the computer to determine what would cause the flicker."
"Can you think of anything else?"

"I would think that the cloaking device they are using is not as advanced as the Romulans."
She began going over the recording asking the computer to enhance the picture and magnify it.
She looked closely and judging it from the debris it was large.
Finally once she was satisfied with the picture.
"Major I think I have it.See a large triangular shape in this frame?It is only an outline but if you look closely it looks like some kind of super structure near the middle."
"If I was betting I would say that is where the Bridge would be and possibly a sensor array."
She pointed as she talked to the Major."Hey wait here is just a thought what if they are damaged?"
"That might explain the flicker."She kept looking trying to find something else.
