T'meryl takes a glass yeho from the waiter's tray and thanks him. She looks at her crew members and says, "I am quite looking forward to the dinner." She knows from their tone that they have at least resigned themselves to working with her, if still not at all happy.
She looked at Zandile and said, " I had a friend who quite often quoted many old human sayings. One was, 'Our duty is not to die for our side, our duty is to make the other guy die for his side.' He would tell me that just before any combat training." She sipped her juice, enjoying the cool taste. "I am unfamiler with the game of Ihi."

"As I am T'meryl. The dinner is being prepared by the Riov-a chef. I have a feeling" said with a playful grin. "the menu will be the things he remembers her enjoying."
"Ihi, is a game that is a combination of riddles, puzzles, a game of wits, cunning, and its played out on a board. It has many different levels of difficulty. It is very popular among our people and should appeal to the Vulcan mind, since it is comprised mostly of logic when analyzed."
"Some like Vrih find it relaxing, I find it stimulating, and sleep has often eluded me after a fast paced, well played game. Of course I was never as good as my room mate at the War College."
She looked over and saw the new officer Shiarrael Tei, waving her over she smiled as she came over to the group.
"Jolan'tru Shiarrael. Come and join us. The more who are here the better. How do find the Dhivael?"

He drifted over to where Veralen, T'Meryl and a couple of the New York's Officers where and just.. hovered there, listening to their conversation.
He didn't want to interrupt, thinking it would be rude for him to do so. As he listened to the one named Zandile, he admired her, for her fighting spirit. His eyes averted toward Veralen as she is the Tactical Officer. He envied her some as she had gotten the post of Tactical. He knew he was good at that post and would serve that post well, but he was the Gonaiih and he would serve that post to the best of his ability instead

"Jolan'tru Terrh, its good to see you enjoying yourself for a change. Have you met Shiarrael Tei, she just joined our crew."
"We were just discussing Ihi. Do either of you play?"

He nods respectfully to Veralen
"Jolan'tru, erie'Arrain. I am pleased to see that you are enjoying yourself as well. I must admit, I have not met Shiarrael Tei" He glanced in her direction, a friendly expression in his eyes "Jolan'tru. welcome aboard. I look forward to serving with you"
He turned back to Veralen
"My apologies but I am not that familiar nor that skillful in the game if Ihi"

He would notice a young Erie’Arrain that walked up to them and would acknowledge her with a simple raise of his glass and a greeting. “Jolan’Tru, Ael.”, he would reply to her. He turned to look over at Veralen and gives a nod, giving his empty glass to the waiter and takes another glass of Romulan ale.
“The more people that join, the merrier, Veralen.”, he would reply back to her.
Vrih looked over at T’Meryl, taking a sip of his drink and then give a small smile at Veralen’s reply to T’Meryl. He did found the game very enjoyable at nights when he is not able to sleep. “The game does stimulate the mind to think.”, he would say towards T’Meryl.
When he saw Terrh Sahen, he glances his focus on him. “We always welcome new ones to the game, Terrh.”, he replied to him.

Ael looked over at Vrih and gives him a nod, remembering meeting him on the New York. “Of course, I have met Vrih on the New York when he arrived on board for the dinner there.”, she would reply to Veralen.
She could remember playing Ihi when she was growing up, smiling at herself when she remembered her father and brother would include her in the game when her brother had a tournament. Slightly laughing only in the inside when she remembered beating her older brother most of the time.
Ael saw a few more crewmembers walking over and introducing themselves. “Jolan’Tru.”, she would reply to them.

"I am well Meanek Danrea. And you are well I trust." She noticed Maenek Cunningham enter and waved her over. "Maenek Cunningham this is Maenek Danrea from the New York. I thought you might like to meet her.""I am well Meanek Danrea. And you are well I trust." "Ensign T'Meryl, I see you made it. Dinner should be very enjoyable." She takes a sip from her glass. "Vrih, tonight should be most interesting and enjoyable. You should relax more when off duty." With a playful smile "Have you noticed how Riov Cretak seems instantly happier when he sees Riov Radaik. It seems the old fires still burn, or perhaps they still blaze." S.Gale nods and extends her hand to shake Danrea's. "Most call me S.Gale." She says with a smile, "You're the Doc on the New York? How was the adjustment period?"

She saw Veralen waves her over and walked over to her. She nods respectfully to both Veralen and Terrh.
"Jolan'tru, I have not played Ihi in sometime." She looked to Terrh.
"Khlinae Arhem (Thank You) As do I"
Looking back at Veralen.
"It is an honor to be on the Dhivael, I find it a glory to the empire."

T'meryl greets Shiarrael Tei and Terrh Sahen, then says to Veralen, "If you would not mind, maybe you would give lessons at some time."

She listens to their conversation about sports, the moment for her to respond to their comments had thankfully passed her by. She wonders what this game Ihi could be, and if would be suitable to subject her security teams to the game as a training exercise.

S.Gale nods and extends her hand to shake Danrea's. "Most call me S.Gale." She says with a smile "You're the Doc on the New York? How was the adjustment period?"
She shakes S. Gale's hand. "Its a pleasure to meet you, yes I've been the doctor on the New York for over a year now. I was first posted with Riov Radaik on the USS Alliance, before it was destroyed. Id say it took some time to learn her style of command. Then we were posted in Romulan space. Its taken some time to learn there customs, and traditions, and how to deal with them. I trust youve learned their distrust for doctors by now?" She said with a smile.
"Sometimes you just have to threaten them to get them to come to sickbay. But dont worry youll adapt. What types of problems have you encountered? Maybe I can help?"

Looking at Tmeryl, she nods.
"I would be more then pleased to show you how to play the game and instruct you. I'm sure your find it enjoyable."
"I wonder when dinner will be ready I'm growing hungry." Her voice change to a playful sound and lowered on the word hungry.
She listened with interest as the New York Meanek spoke of her difficulty in adjusting to the difference in style of command. All Riov-a had differences in style. She wondered if that was because of personality or cultural differences.

"le, Galan. There was more then a point that the tutorship for hand-to-hand saved my life. For that I am grateful. You if, my memory serves me, was very difficult to defeat in training."
"Dhat, I never considered why you assigned to me, I simply enjoyed it. Well, not the many bumps, bruises, to follow."She smiled at him. "So it was in weapons training you noticed me. Well, I noticed you at the 1st year dance. You were dating someone, so I am not surprised you failed to notice the new cadets."
"With Nuhir it is hard to say. First she determined to be the best spouse one could have with as many children as the Elements grant, the next she wants a political career." Laughing softly remembering her last conversation with Nuhir.
"Le I think dinner is great idea, before the combined crews rush the dinner table."
She allows him to lead her to dinner.

Hearing the talk of one group revolving around Ihi, one of her favorite games, she drifts over, waiting in the back ground, listening. Hoping to, perhaps, be included, or even be able to contribute. Smiling, she stifles a chuckle at the expressed interest in the game, and those who used it to remain sharp at thier jobs during sleepless nights.
She glances around at the mingling crews, hoping she is doing well. It had been some time since she had been in a large group of predominantly Romulans, and she did not wish to embarass her Riov with ill remembered manners.
