"That must be an interesting posting. Allows you to leave the ship on away missions. I as the ah... tactical officer don't get that opportunity very often."
"What do you think of serving under a Rihannsu Riov? Is it very different?"
She notices the Maenek.
"Maenek greetings. Have you meet our Maenek, she is also from the Federation."

S.Gale tugs at the hem of her Dress Uniform and readjusted her braids, glad she did them earlier in the day, her long hair did take a long time to braid up into her usual design. This will be her first meeting with the New York crew and Captain. She finally arrived to the lounge at the heels of the Riov. Pausing briefly to salute the Riovs she takes a pink liquid from the server and surveyed the room. "intersting assemblage" she thinks to herself. Then she notices her crewmates and works her way towards them.

T'meryl put on her dress uniform, and left her quarters. She made her way to the Lhil. Entering, she paused for a moment to look over the crowd that had gathered. The various races gathered interested her. A mixture of Rihannsu and Fleet uniforms, and some that were in civilian clothes. After going up and giving a bow to the two Riov, she goes over to a Vulcan talking to Sahen and Dr. Cunningham. “Dif-tor heh smusma” ( Live long and prosper ) she greets the Vulcan. To Sahen, she says, “"Jolan'tru,” and to the doctor, “Greetings.”

He would look over at T'Meryl, one of the Vulcans who is now serving on the RSE Dhivael. ”Jolan’Tru. I see that you finally embraced us with your presences.”, he would say towards T’Meryl with a slight smirk.
Vrih would only take a sip of his drink before speaking, looking over to the Maenek. "Jolan'Tru.", he would say to Maenek.
He places one hand behind his back, keeping his drink at mid chest level. His hand that is behind is back is balled up so tight that he could have easily draw blood from his own skin, but he was able to ease up to where it would not do that although it is still balled up in a fist.

"I am well Meanek Danrea. And you are well I trust."
She noticed Maenek Cunningham enter and waved her over.
"Maenek Cunningham this is Maenek Danrea from the New York. I thought you might like to meet her."
"I am well Meanek Danrea. And you are well I trust."
"Ensign T'Meryl, I see you made it. Dinner should be very enjoyable." She takes a sip from her glass.
"Vrih, tonight should be most interesting and enjoyable. You should relax more when off duty." With a playful smile "Have you noticed how Riov Cretak seems instantly happier when he sees Riov Radaik. It seems the old fires still burn, or perhaps they still blaze."

She nods and smiles a rare smile. "It's a lot of fun to go out and do the 'dirty work' as some would call it. I wouldn't have it any other way."
"And I've served under Riov Radaik long enough I've actually gotten used to saying Riov most of the time instead of Captain."
She then listens as Veralen greets Anarra and she smiles at Anarra briefly in greeting. She takes a few gulps of the Romulan ale she held, thinking that this was rather good stuff.

After saluting the two Riovs, she works her way to where the rest of the New York Erien are, sliding behind a few, and out of site of most of the Dhivael crew watching. She wished to gain a better feel for the expectations of the New York's crew before seeing if any of her aquaintances from the War College were stationed here.
She quietly declines several offers of alcoholic beverages, finally accepting a glass of fruit punch which was being passed around on a tray.

He would look at Veralen and returned a smirk of his own, bringing his glass back up to his lips, just barely touching. "Yes, quite right you are.", he would say. He would take a small sip of his Romulan ale as he looked over at Riov Radiak and Riov Cretak. Remembering of something before arriving on his first Romulan ship after graduating from the Romulan War College.
"How could anyone mistaken that, with the way they look at one another and can't seem to keep thier eyes off each other.", he continued to reply to her.

"Good Vrih you need to relax"
She looked at Zandile and T'Merly.
"Not all Rihannsu males are as intense as Vrih, but it is a prized trait. I suppose it is the same among our distant cousins. Perhaps someday you can tell me some of your stories of the away missions you were on."
She was trying hard to understand Vulcans especially since one was on the ship. And attempting to overcome her distrust of them as a people.
She glanced around the room and the noticed once again how both Riov-a lit the room with their combined strength and energy.

He would only smirk just for a moment, knowing that he did need to relax, but would not say what was on his mind nor want to speak about it at the moment. He doesn’t even have the words to explain.
“Perhaps this drink is not making me relaxed as it should be. I do find Ihi or a number puzzle a bit more relaxing. Perhaps a small game of Ihi with someone that has the competitive spirit.”, he would say to Veralen with a sly smirk, taking one last drink from his glass.
Vrih would hope that she would accept the invitation, but would understand if she did not have the desire for a small game. He had never worked with such diverse crew before arriving on this ship and it will be a worth while experience for him.

“And good Riov,” he retorts with a glint of mischievousness, “I would hope that at one point or another the hard work you put in as my sparing partner help save your life. You were indeed a formidable adversary in the training ring. “
“As for impressing me, well there was never any need to do that. The first time you walked into weapons training I noticed you. Did you ever wonder how it came about that you were assigned to me?” grinning, “I knew I wanted to get to know you, but more importantly I could see the fire and dedication you had in your eyes. Let’s just say I called in a few favors.”
He listens with sadness as she recalls his old friend. “He was only one of three others I have ever swore blood oath too. Chavek was always there for me and pulled me out of a few tight situations. The Elements have him now and that wretched war is in the past. May the likes of the Dominion and like vermin never be seen again?”
“I am not surprised with Nuhir leaving. I suspected she would. More suited for politics I would venture to say and will probably be a senator in the next session. My family wishes you well also and has asked me to bring you around sometime.”
He continues to look into her eyes, old feelings growing by the moment. “Come Eviess, let us eat and then we shall tour.”

Ael would notice of how the two Riovs are talking to each other, would back up more and turned to look to see who all was there. Upon seeing a few familar faces across the room, she walked over towards them.
She found it quite shoothing to be amoung her people and happy to be in the Empire's own territory. "Jolan'Tru.", she would say to Veralen and the others. "I do not believe that we have met. I am erie'Arrian Ael Hheinia, Etrehafwe'saehne (CENG) on board USS New York."

She shrugs very slightly, looking at Veralen. "Not much to tell, really. Most of the away missions I've been on since we've gotten to Romulan space have involved fighting some sort of rebels or enemy to the empire. I keep hoping not to return and therefore earn myself an honorable death, but here I am, to fight another day." She smiles, with an almost evil glint in her eyes as she thinks about the exhilaration she got from a good fight. She thinks that her comment sounds like something maybe a Klingon would say and smiles at the irony. She hopes they would appreciate her sacrifices and service to the Romulan empire and Starfleet. She would have never guessed 5 years ago that today she'd be working for Romulans, but she liked her job because it kept her busy and she got to do something worthwhile.

She raised an eyebrow at what Zandile said. Had she not know better, she would think she was Klingon.
"The Empire does not desire your death, nor should you desire death. If you do, you diminish your worth as a warrior since the likelihood for foolish mistakes increases. Doesn't the Federation teach you that? There is nothing to fear in death since we must all die. But a death that comes form a foolish mistake brought by desire is pointless. The Klingon's should learn that."
She took another sip, finishing it she placed the glass on the tray as it passed. Deciding not to have another she smiled and shook her head at the waiter.
"Yes, there has been a lot of unrest in this sector, since the alliance. Hopefully that will end soon. But with change, comes unrest."
"Jolan'tru Ael, I am erie'Arrian, amnei'saehne (lt jg tactical officer) Veralen Sahen. This is Vrih Hwersuil, ensign T'Meryl. And of course you know your crew members."
"Vrih perhaps later we can play Ihi, and maybe the New York crew would enjoy seeing how it is played."
