He and Erein Rhial enter the New York lhil and look around. He notices that quite a few of the New York crew are there. He smiles to see so many Rihannsu dress uniforms again and a sense of nostalgia fills him. In Federation space they wore their honor sash with the Federation uniform. Back home, here in Rihanssu space they could go back to their own colors. It always feels good to be in ones home system.
He smiles at Dan'lia and says ,"Shall we take a seat? What can I bring you to drink?"
As he waits for her answer he looks at the 2 Riov walking toward the head table. It occurs to him he hasn't seen Riov Radaik this relaxed in a long time. He smiles for rumor has it that they were an item years before. The way they are looking at each other now his bet would be on they could be again and sooner then later.

He listened to them only seamlessly, glancing a the two Riovs and few others heading towards the dinner table. He looked back at the group that he was with and cleared his throat.
"I do believe that dinner is about to be served. We better head over to the table before all the chairs are taken up.", he would reply to the group.
He looks over at Veralen. "Care to sit with me, Veralen?", he would ask her.

He offers her his arm and as they walked to their table he notices all eyes are upon them. Looking at Eviess he grins, "It has been a while since I have escorted a lovely lady to dinner. The one you saw me at the dance that night, well I could not find a date so my cousin D'elon graciously accompanied me so I would not be alone. I never told you that before."
A fleeting look passes deep within his rich brown eyes. "So much has happened over the years. I often wonder what we would have become if we had joined. There were so many dreams we shared together. And I do know I was deeply in love with you. But in the long run the Galae had other plans for us." regaining his composure.
"Speaking of plans, I still have no idea who my first officer will be or even if they will be Rihannsu. I understand you are looking for a replacement XO yourself. How did you manage with a non-ch'Rihan?"
Looking around he sees the crews beginning to pair off for the meal as he waits for her to respond.

Dan'lia smiled at Taev, " I was going to suggest that we greet the Riov, but I don't think either would notice, so let's sit. Yheo would be fine. I have enjoyed the tour so far. You are correct that this is a good ship. But I am still partial to the New York."
She looked over the crowd. "A lot of our people are attending tonight. Kholairlh-a ihir hann'yyo'ir - ( Elements be thanked )

She shakes S. Gale's hand. "Its a pleasure to meet you, yes I've been the doctor on the New York for over a year now. I was first posted with Riov Radaik on the USS Alliance, before it was destroyed. Id say it took some time to learn her style of command. Then we were posted in Romulan space. Its taken some time to learn there customs, and traditions, and how to deal with them. I trust youve learned their distrust for doctors by now?" She said with a smile.
"Sometimes you just have to threaten them to get them to come to sickbay. But dont worry youll adapt. What types of problems have you encountered? Maybe I can help?"
S.Gale smiles ruefully, "Actually it was the meeting of our Riov and a minor (sense major) bit of misinformation from a certain Federation Intell Lt. (sense: much anger toward that "certain Lt.")" she sighs and glances over to where the Riovs are talking then looks back. "I've already had two volunteer to let me do a "security check" to see if they match up with their records. While they're there, I show them that I'm harmless." S.Gale studies Danrea closely for a monment and says, "You're Betaoid, correct? I would think that one with so much empathy would have a difficult time shutting out a patient's pain, how do you cope?" mental/feeling: I mean no offense, of course

She hears mumblings about dinner being soon, so she goes to the table and takes a seat kind of out of the way. She looks around at the others at the table and sighs quietly. She wanted action, she liked action. Sitting around and eating and going to dinners like this gave her too much time to think and brought back memories.

"Well, it was an adjustment at first. But Ive learned to use it to my advantage. For instance, we recently saved some romulan children after the zoo they were at was hit in an attack. My empathy was very helpful to see if they were just putting on a brave face. And some were in shock. So, it helped to be able to feel what they are feeling." She smiles.
"Just one word of advice. Dont let up when it comes to physicals. Even if it is the captain that needs the physical. Officers need to remember that their health is very important, sickbay is not a place to be afraid of."

He glanced around and saw some of the crews of both ships start to drift closer to the dining table, especially one in partcular. he thought to himself the meal is about to start and he himself walks over. He would speak to Zandile before seating himself
"Would you like some company or would you like to dine alone?"
he waited for her response

She hears someone talking to her and she looks up at the person talking to her with a slight smile. "I don't mind if you sit there." She is unsure what else to say, so she decides to introduce herself because the last thing she wanted was to seem rude. "I'm Lieutenant Zandile Rey-Baccus... Chief of Security on the New York."

"Ye Verily, I need to get the Riov to come in for a physical as well. I had heard that the Rihannsu are a bit squemish about the docs.. that is why I was surprised when two of the officers actually volunteered to be the first ones." S.Gale chuckles. "That is a wonderful idea using your empathy to assist in treatment. At first I had a hard time shutting out the pain." She stopped herself and said "Oopsie, looks like everyone is starting to seat for dinner. Have you a dinner partner?" She grinned widely. |

Dan'lia sat sipping her juice and watching the Riovs. "This may sound just a bit disrespectful, but someone may have to mention to those two that they are in a room full of people and food in in front of them. What do you think, Taev?" She was enjoying his company more than she expected.

"Galan, I remember you as being considered quite the catch. How was it you couldn't find a date?"
She placed her hand on his arm as he lead her to the table.
"I too have wondered a few times. To this day I'm still unsure why we broke up. It has always been a mystery to me. What I remember is that day you walk up to me and said more or less. Eviess we need to part for awhile and see if this is meant to be. You never allowed me to answer you, you just walk away."
"It was very hard the next year for me. But in my heart Galan, I never wished you anything but the very best. I loved you Galan with all of my being, you were my first love, and no one has ever completely come close to you."
"But to be with you now, its as if the years have rolled away."
He holds out her chair while she sits down.
"We had so many plans for the future have you realized any on them?
"There were some problems with a lloann'na rhaetelh'saehne (Fed executive officer). But as time passed it worked out."
