The elements have smiled on us and we have been chosen to be in the force which will bring down the vang'radam (traitor). It is a great honor to be included, and this crew is more then ready for the task at hand. For now, for our safety and to give time for the full force to amess we sit and wait. The lack of a cloaking device prohibts us from being any closer.

There will be a surprise for Lt Montag. One that should bring her peace at last. The burden she has carried must have wieghed heavy on her mind.

Ready room and office

I await the final tactics to be used in the capture of the vang'radam and his cohorts. It is a task which brings sadness to consider a Rihan has brought such dishoner and shame. One can only imagine what his house goes though at this time.

On a more pleasant note Lt Montage seems to be more at ease, but is hesitant in seeing this thing brought to justice. I will never fully understand the Federation, their should be joy at seeing one like Ri'Pak brought to justice. But the knowledge that only death will satisfy this crime in our eyes seems to overwhelm them.

Personal

We are still at the ch' (planet) where Ri'Pak had his liar. It is truly amazing how one who has such intelligence chose to use it in such criminal activities. He has amassed a small fortune and now he will get to see destroyed.

Again I am deeply concerned for the teenagers we discovered. They remain somewhat distant and aloof. It is not common for one at this age, I can only imagine what they endured. Ri'pak will pay dearly for this.

We have him aboard the ship in a holding cell. While I would have preferred to be assigned to such a trusted task aboard one of our vessels I understand the reasoning behind it. And this crew is more then up to the task.

Duty log

I have spoken to the consular and asked him to work with the teenagers. They are in need of consul and I hope that he can reach them. If not, I shall undertake this task myself.

I will have security strengthen and increase the guards at the holding cell. It is believed that his operatives will attempt to aid him in an escape plan. If they do, they have signed their death certificates.

Mission Objectives

1) To destroy all contraband while Ri'pak is forced to watch as his assets are destroyed. estimated at 150 million credits.

We are on ch'Rihan and it is good to feel the soil of my home world under my feet once again. The reason for being here is well.......less then pleasant. The ryak'na (trash,garbage) vang'radam (traitor) is being tried. And the relationship between it and my crew member is finally understood.

He will not escape the just rewards for his actions, she has a smirk on her face. After this trail, hopefully we will have time to visit. I would so enjoy a visit to my home and see my family again. I have digressed.


It has been an honor to participate in the joint military effort to capture the vang'radam. While most of my crew is lloann'na (Federation), they preformed as well, if not equal to that of a Rihna. I was impressed. And for those who know me well, know that is not as easy to do as one would think.

A popular scenic and vacation area. Know for its beauty and contemplative qualities.

Gal Gath'thong a famous mountain range in the southern hemisphere on Romulus where rivers of fire spew over enormous cliff-faces. Many families travel there to see the enchanting "spray" as the sun raises over the horizon.

There is a large cultural area, where all the amenities can be found for the tourist. There are several parks that are state owned and operated similar to the Terran's state parks.

The traitor has been tried and the earlier ruling has been upheld. With the additional evidence it proved to be the nail in his coffin. One that he designed, built and maintained by himself. Now that this is over, I will grant shore leave to the entire crew. Who knows when we will have it again.

Personal log

I look forward to a visit home. It has been sometime since I was able to walk the shore of my home town, or visit the market places. I also plan on several trips.

I will enjoy each and everyday of this leave.

Shore leave as always was far to short. However it is good to be back on the New York. We are currently on our way to Gaius, a Romulan colony world. Lately several disputes have broken out on Gauis. We are to be part of an escort team.

Once we arrive, we have been given the honor of taking the ambassador planet side. Then we will be leaving for the next mission.

We arrived at Gaius without incident, things went well as we entered a slightly lowered orbit to allow the other escort vessels to give us cover. I personally feel somewhat at a loss without a cloaking device. Although I have done extremely well without it.

I had the Ambassador taken to the planet via a shuttle. It has been reported and by his own admission he detest using a transporter. I placed Colonel Stevenson in charge and he assembled an away team. I must say they did remarkably well.

There was a civil protest on the ground and it was expected. The Tal'shair and Colonel Stevenson working together got the ambassador to the embassy. There was an unfortunate incident when the Ambassador fall upon entering the building. It was later learned he suffered a minor stroke. May the Elements care for him, and return him to health.

Today for the first time in my career I did not complete a task. I have sent a full report to my Enriov (Admiral) and expect action will be taken. The question is, what will it entail. As I consider my actions or lack thereof I have no defense. By the Elements what was I thinking? It is done, so it is.

I must commend Lt Jaris on her skill at tactical. She is skilled enough to be a Romulan officer. Slight laugh at her own joke. I hope the action taken to surpress the protesters worked.

We are now on our way to Agurthan Outpost.

We are still headed to ch'Rihan. For the first time I experienced a severe headache. I know its from tension and not a sign of something more serious. I am anxious, this is the first time I will face a review board and I am unsure of what to expect.

I've had time to consider my actions and I can see where I went wrong. I was so concerned about the status of the alliance that I allowed that to over ride my better judgement and training. What is done is done and I will accept not only the review but any resulting actions that is deemed necessary.

What is important is the goals of the Empire and for now, that includes this alliance.

The review has ended and has gone better then I hoped. I've been with the Enriov Jarok. He's been instructing me and helping me to realize my abilities. It has not been an easy week, but an enjoyable one. Especially when one considers, I have been honored in being assigned him as my instructor.

He is highly decorated for his war activities with the Dominion. My crew enjoys shore leave and I will be joining them soon.

I have completed my studies with Enriov Jarok. He is one of war hero's during the Dominion War. His service record is one that I hope I can achieve. At first I was somewhat intimidated but that quickly passed.

When we would brake for meals he would tell me of his experiences but would hold off on its outcome. She smiled and nodded. And then he would ask me questions, to see what I would do. After he would tell what he did and why. I have learned so much just from this alone.

The simulations were exhaustive leaving few if any vague points. But always with options on how to react and what to do.

I will miss Enriov Jarok. He is an excellent instructor and guide. Having great patience.

I am not on the New York once again. And we are leaving ch'Rihan for our next mission to Justarus.

We were en route to ch'Justarus were we have a fairly large colony. We encountered some debris, upon examination we learned it was from the hull of a Breen ship. We have taken a piece of the hull aboard the ship for further examination.

This raises several questions. What is a Breen ship doing so far from Breen and what caused it to be destroyed. So far, we have ascertained that it is a scout ship. I had our operations officer run scans for any residual signals the ship could have sent out. He was able to find a weak distress call.

We were unable to remain and continue the investigation of this most curious situation. We have entered standard orbit over Justarus and we are running continuous scans.

1) Science and engineering will be working on discovering as much as possible from the debris of the Breen Scout ship
2) Operations will be monitering all transmissions in the area paying attention to any that seem masked or hidden.
3) Justarus is an M Class planet simular to that of ch'Rihan with the following exceptions:
a) its axis has a 1 degree additional tilt
b) it has 3 percent less water then ch'Rihan
c) it has mineral and ore deposits that are being mined in the southern hemisphere total amt that is allowed to be mined is 30 percent to ensure ecological damage does not occur.
d) It has a military base under construction in the northern region

We are still in orbit around ch'Justarus, one we arrived it was discovered that others had indeed infiltrated the colony. It is as suspected by the Tal'shair to be Cardassians, Breen and Orien working together. An odd mix indeed.

It is not surprising considering the mining facility and the rare elements it contains. For the Oreins it would be a gold mine, or the Breen as means to defeat one of our weapon prototypes designed specifically as a counter measure against one of their weapons. But Cardassians why them?

There is a shipment of Quadresium that must reach the Federation boarder where one of their ships will take it. This is the only reason I can fathom for the bold appearance of the Cardassians this far into the RSE.

Ready room and office


She was sitting at her desk waiting for the one who rang the chimes to enter when her mind drifted to the lastest developments on ch'Justarius.

I have tried a command tactic used by the Federation and have mixed feelings about it. Which is to hold a meeting with junior officers in attendance. I know I have raised some eyebrows among the Romulan officers. I will however attempt this again at the proper time.

I have missed two officers who on this mission would have proved to be invaluable. That of political advisor, who holds information I am not privy to. And of a Communications officer to serve as a direct link to ch'Rhian and the Romulan fleet. I have adjusted to not having their wise console.

What troubles me is the Cardassian involvement in this affair. What use do they have for Quadresium? And are they aware of the need for Khemocite?

We are still planetside on this world. One that held such promise, and would have been close to the Federation, thus allow the alliance to grow as we intermingled in trade. All that has come to most distressing end.

The colonist named this world ch'Fvil meaning earth. They did this in the hope of a strong alliance and because of the richness of the soil. So many things were being put in place that would foster such friend ship between our peoples. A colony, so young, with the cultural centers it had spoke volumes of the hope they held. Now the place that held their dreams holds their tombs. May their gods ensure I never find the ones who did this. By the Elements I swear they will pay.

She stiffles a cry as she reviews the list of names of the dead colonist. And that list grows by the hour.

Even on a battle field I have never seen such destruction of life. Even the innocent among them was not spared. Today I held the body of a baby. Last time I had asked for mercy to be shown to the Remans. But they have once again betrayed us or so it seems. A massive amount of Reman bodies were found. Since none came here with the colonist they must have been a part of it.

She punches the desk and then in her anger she throws the pitcher of water across the room.

It would appear that the Feds are involuved but my gut instincts tell me they are not. Always the Feds have been honorable in their dealings and in upholding treaties. Would they abandon such honor in favor of this? Said in disgust.

Objectives

1) Continue the search, rescue and recovery
2) Have the Reman bodies autosopied for
3) Turn over the Fed prisioners to Colonel Zander
4) Have the colonist who are on the ship prepared for transport when the transport RSE
5) Finish all repairs and be ready to leave when the RSE Temet arrives.
