An area in the lower deck for informal gathering, gambling, and all other fun and profitable off duty activities.

Esti adjusted the shoulder of her black security jumpsuit and double-checked that all her insignia were in the proper place as she slipped out of the maintenance storage area. One of the benefits of security was knowing all the small and neglected spaces generally overlooked by her superiors. In her rounds, she was required to check-in at seventy-two different stations and as long as she'd skied- in at all of them, no one really looked too closely at whether somewhere between forty-five and forty-six, she'd spent a few extra minutes investigating her own interests and pleasures.
A few moments later her companion of the last fifteen minutes or so exited also. What was his name? She couldn't remember, but there were other things about him, she knew she wouldn't forget. She tugged the uniform again. Damn, these things had a habit of clinging uncomfortably in all the wrong places. She wanted to find out who had designed them and condemn them to a week's wearing. Her next stop was the enlisted lounge, The Commons. All she was required to do was tap her comm badge. It would send an ID signal to the receiver and she could move on, but she was in the mood for a drink. Another restricted activity while on duty and one she freely disregarded.

Arawn was in the infirmary, one of the attendants that was picked up at the last star base. At the moment, he is checking on some of the lower deck officers' medical files. He was getting bored and thought about skipping out before his shift ended. Things picked up when the Lt walked in, not looking very happy and demanding to see the doctor. April went over and confronted the irate woman then heard as she contacted the doctor via comm badge and told him to get to sickbay before she jumped one of his staff. He grinned at that, hoping that it would be he that she chose to jump, but then his grin faltered as she gave the eye toward April. He shrugged and didn't think she would pull off her threat
Next thing he knew, the Lt was pulling April into the doctor's office, reaching to tear off her shirt. This should be interesting he thought as snuck over to sneakily peer in. He grinned as the Lt had April on the doctor's desk, pulling off clothes and revealing skin. Where's the popcorn he wondered just as the doctor entered to spoil the fun. The doctor didn't seem to notice him as he dismissed April. He took the moment to slip out of sickbay as April gathered what clothes that were tore off her and left to go to her quarters. He chuckled as she passed him "You look good half naked." He tossed at her. She threw back a withering look and a hissed shut up before scampering off,
He chuckled to himself, thinking that was interesting then thought about a drink in the commons. He tapped his badge, then turned to go. On his way, he saw Esti turn the corner from a different hallway, seemingly heading in the same direction. He liked her, she is quite attractive, perhaps too attractive for him. He shrugged, only one way to find out. She could tell him no or worse. He walked quietly up behind her "Want some company, sugar?" He asked, watching her reaction

"Who's asking?" she returned nonchalantly. She was wary however. A line like that was intended to make a person drop their guard. Esti had been with Defiant since it's launch and would be turning 18 next month, the official age at which someone could enter the Fleet. She was always alert to the possibility that her illegal enlistment might be discovered and used against her, not by the recruiters; more often than not, they turned a blind eye and an upturned palm to such small discrepancies, but by her fellow crewmen. They wouldn't hesitate to turn her in so she'd have to be as careful as the Emperor's chief eunuch with his favorite woman until her age was no longer something that could be held against her. She walked past him and into the lounge, tilting and jerking her head to the side as an invitation for him to follow.

Arawn smirked at her nonchalant question "None other then me, honey." He returned to her. Up close she looked a bit young. Perhaps too young to join the fleet, but that didn't concern him. He really didn't care. He wasn't going to go snitch, being that he is just barely 18 himself. He knew of the age restrictions but he didn't care, didn't stop him from joining the fleet himself. He entered at close to 15. He always did look older then he actually is. That helped him land the assignment on the Defiant. That and laying just under the radar. He admired her as she walked passed him, admiring her backside as she walked into the lounge "So what's your poison?" He asked her back then added "First round's on me."

"One is all I have time for and if I did have more, what makes you so sure I'd want to spend it with "none other than you?" Confidence was fine. Arrogance was something else and if you couldn't back it up you should never try to engage.
"Antarean glow water." She ordered. When it arrived, she downed it in a single gulp and cocked her head in challenge. "Drink it fast. The glow comes later."

He looked around the lounge at those in attendance as she posed her question, looking back to her with a knowing look "I don't but I also don't see any of the other guys rushing up and volunteering to spend time with you or offering to buy you a drink." He got the impression she is testing him. No problem. If she doesn't like his answers, it's her loss.
He glanced to the bar man "Make that two." He stated when she ordered a Antarean glow water, watching her knock it back in one swig as soon as she received it. Impressive. Amusement lit his eyes as she informed him to drink it fast, the glow would come later. He tossed his head and the glass back, downing it as quick as she had, putting the glass back down on the bar with a thud "That hit the spot." He said with a smile

"Wrong answer. You don't tell a girl that the only reason you're interested in her is because there isn't any competition around. Try something like 'Because of all the women here, you're the only one that's interesting.' I'll know you're lying but at least you'll have smoothed the way with a little flattery. If you're still interested when I'm off duty, find me. You'll be easy to see for the next twelve hours or so. That stuff will make everything from your spit to your sweat, glow in the dark." She laughed and headed back out into the corridor.

Arawn smiled to himself as she told him his answer is wrong, then suggested an alternative comment. Was it wrong? Perhaps. "That's true too. You are the most interesting woman in the place, and attractive too but you look like a woman who is not easily swayed by simple flattery." He continued to listen to her, frowning a little as she told him that for the next couple hours, he's going to be a humanoid beacon. Course, so would she, unless her body has gotten used to it. He walked with her out into the corridor "I'll be sure to look you up in 3 hours." He chuckled to himself as he is sure she would be the only woman that looked like she had an internal heat source

Arawn returned to sickbay and snuck in. The doctor didn't seem to notice him him gone, and he noted there wasn't that much activity in sickbay. He also noted that April was back in uniform. She looked his way, he gave her a smile and a wink. She scowled at him and went about her duties and he his own
Three hours later, his shift ended. He left sickbay and headed for Engineering to look for the hot babe he had a drink with a couple hours ago
Just as he was reaching the engineering department, he spotted Esti coming out "Miss me?" he asked with a smirk, then told her "I'll buy you dinner this time. Agreed?"

Esti was with a group as they left engineering at the end of shift. All of them had come aboard Defiant when it launched and they considered themselves superior to those who'd joined after. Even a day's seniority could make all the difference here.
Just outside was that arrogant ass who had tried to pick her up earlier. It took her a moment to remember him. She'd written him off already as just another slobbering hound after a piece of tail.
She crossed her arms. "Dinner and then back to your quarters, I suppose? Is that your best offer?"

He noted that Esti exited Engineering with a group of other engineers who dispersed to go their own directions. Esti looked as if she didn't remember him at first but then it dawned on her. That stung that she would forget him so soon and so easily. He mentally shrugged. Her loss, he thought.
His eyes went to her chest as she crossed her arms over her chest, his eyes floated back to her eyes as she gave him the knowing attitude. She thought he wanted to bed her after dinner, maybe have some sexual dessert? He did, but he wasn't just going to come out and say it. He laughed a bit, planting a smirk on his face "I only offered dinner. You're the one that suggested my quarters after we eat. I accept." He said with obvious humor, waiting for her response

She watched his eyes move over her. They were far more telling than his words. "Dessert depends on how good dinner is and if you weren't assuming it, why offer to spend the latinum when we can eat for free in the Galley? "

He chuckled a bit at her answer. She can assume what she wants, he thought it was amusing that she thought that he only wanted just another bed partner. He did, but one that would last more then a night or two
He turned and gestured for her to walk with him "Your choice of where we eat, honey, but what's a few latinum to spend? That's what it's for. You just got to know where, when and how to find it. So, what's you in the mood for?" He asked her, then realized there was a double meaning in there. He was sure she'd be smart enough to catch it

She noticed he hadn't tried to deny the assumption. That was a point in his favor.
"What am I in the mood for?", she mused catching up and linking her arm through his. "Trouble. And I think with your charm and funding, you might just be the partner I've been looking for."
She guided him into the lounge and to a secluded corner table.
