She heard the announcement about volunteering for the away mission and continued with her watch. She had no desire to leave the ship at this time. Besides Veralen knew if the CO needed her should let her know.

"There have been reports from our colony on Belak. Operatives there have noted a recent increase in insurgencies. Dhivael has been ordered there to investigate and determine whether these uprisings require an occupational presence to control. This is a covert operation, not a military action. We must find out the cause of the schism and report our recommendations but we must not appear to side with any one group."
"He would simply nod at the Riov "I am certain that this will be a simple task. Just to observe, report, and await further orders"
He listened as she went on to say that she will be personally picking the team to make contact with the planetary citizens. If he wished to be a part of the AT, he would need to inquire about it privately. He raised his brow slightly and the private inquiry but he didn't comment
He turned to the Flight Control Officer as the Riov informed him to inform her when they reach home space. He simply replied "Ie, Riov"
He turned back toward the Riov as she returned to her office, noting that her boots were clicking on the deck as she went. He pondered a moment as he had never noticed that before. He dismissed that thought. No matter. It is of no importance, he thought

Asking for volunteers was not the standard method, but one could infer a number of things by the reaction to such a request. Who was hungry for advancement. Who felt their obligations aboard the ship took precedence. Who felt the mission wasn't glorious enough to warrant their participation.
She had received the acknowledgments and now began her own preparations, picking up and attaching a scanner and a standard disruptor alongside of her own neca.
Exiting the Ready Room, she stood and scanned the oira. Both Khellian and Jerrod had left. "Arrain Khev, if you have no prior commitments, vaed'rae. (Attend me). Subcommander, you have command. I will be leading the away team.

When they reached Belak he turns his station over to another and heads to Transporter room 2.
In Transporter Room 2 he gets his SCI Tricorder and a standard tricorder, checks his Disruptor to make sure it is at 100% and adds two more Blades

Jerrod had left the oira. He went to his quarters and to his closet. He had replicated himself a Galae uniform. He didn't know if he would ever need it. He didn't have to wear it, but for this mission, less he stood out the better. He took the time to make sure everything on his uniform was on correctly then returned to the oira just in time for his summons. He took a disruptor from weapons storage. Though it was standard uniform for Rihannsu, star fleet officer did not carry energy weapons or blades. He also took a standard issue kelan and an extra for his boot. He also added a smaller disruptor for his other boot. He entered the htejj(transporter) room and waited for the rest of the team.

He turned to look at the Riov as she exited her ready room once again. Those she had picked for the AT had left
He simply gave a nod when the Riov informed him that she would lead the Away team, he had command until her return "Ie, Lhhei"

Liordra knew from her own calculations they were now close to Belak. She wanted to be ready to transport as soon as they arrived. She was quite disappointed that so little interest had been shown by the officers in this mission. Observe and report was deceptive in it's simplicity and Liordra expected nothing about this mission would be simple.
"You will be receiving a coded set of coordinates." She told the officer at the console as she entered. "Once we have been transported, they will be deleted." A chirp of her comm let her know they had arrived and she stepped up on the pad. She gave a nod of assent and the party was beamed down. Liordra had no idea where they would materialize and she laid a precautionary hand lightly on her blade as their biopatterns were altered into columns of light.

For a moment Liordra was transfixed by the beauty of the rural area they stood in. Fields of grain and cultivated plants. Flowers grown simply for their beauty. A fresh wind cooled their faces. This idyllic place was the setting for such civil unrest, that it required possible military intervention? She could see no one else there. Not even a structure that would indicate habitation. She began a preliminary scan. The nearest cluster of buildings was approximately five kilometres to the South. If this was where they were intended to go, why had they been sent so far away? Was it merely a precaution?
She had turned to address the others when the breeze picked up and she thought she heard a voice. It was soft and melodical, like a chime and drifted away with the wind. She scanned in the direction it had come, the North, but detected nothing in range. Once more she turned away and once more she heard the voice, a little louder this time. Closer?
Liordra looked to Jerrod. "Tell me. Apart from ourselves, do you see or hear anyone?"

He too noticed the setting as well, but his mind was on the task at hand. Lhhei, I see no structures that might be considered dwellings, and I've also looked high in case they had built in the trees. Is is possible our coordinates were incorrect?

A trick of the wind, she thought. Something unique perhaps, to the planetary climate. Immediately the sound came again but this time there was no wind. Words, but not distinguishable. In her mind they beckoned and compelled. She felt strongly that she wanted to follow the voice. Was this the call they were waiting for or was it a predator's lure?
She called herself back. Jerrod stood looking at her expectantly. What had he said? Was it possible that our coordinates were incorrect? "Possible," she answered, "but unlikely." Liordra looked North again. Nothing but the endless fields were in front of them. How could she justify going in this direction based on a voice she heard in her head?
"I have a feeling." She said carefully. "That there is something of consequence in this direction. I want to investigate." She took the lead and though the voice was no longer there, it seemed to pull her forward and anytime that she felt uncertain of the direction, the whisper in her mind would strengthen and guide her again.
They'd walked for two hours, she estimated, when at last she stopped, the voice's influence was no longer there. Nothing. No structures. No sign of visible habitation. A panic briefly seized her. Had she indeed led them to death by impulsively following this voice and relying only on her feelings?
A figure appeared suddenly in front of them. A Rihannsu man. Very handsome and exceptionally charismatic. One's first instinct was to think of him as one of very high standing, though he wore nothing that would indicate he held an office. He smiled. "Aefhve (Welcome) and thank you for coming." Liordra bowed in return. It seemed only natural to do so. "Was it you Rekkhai, who asked us to come?" Again, it only seemed appropriate to address him formally, though she still saw nothing to indicate either rank or position. "I did." He replied. "But on behalf of us all. Please, join us." He had given no name, had not asked her for her own. She did not know who he represented but despite all this, she simply nodded her assent and indicated they all should follow him.

Renn had his arms in his sleeves to shield cold. Though this planet was beautiful there was an ill wind. The Riov seemed to lead them as if she knew the way or was being led. She would pause at moments as if to get her bearings then off again with just a motion to follow. They had walked several kilometers when she stopped again, but this time was different. She stood as if expecting something to happen. Renn walked toward her about to ask if she would like to beam back for medical assistance when a figure came out. They spoke the Rihannsu language in a dialect that belied their rural surroundings, and made Renn as puzzled as a Ferengi in a free food line. He allowed the Riov to speak and followed but looked for his moment to ask. "Sir, may I ask where your dwellings are and why are they so well hidden? Is there a threat of wild animals or some other danger our Riov might need to be aware of."

Delon was still scanning when the Riov spoke he looked at her but said nothing.
He followed the Riov and renn for two hours when a man of very high standing appeared in front of them, after looking at the man he saw he was wearing nothing that would indicate he held an office.
Delon arched his eyebrow when the Riov said "Was it you Rekkhai, who asked us to come?" he had heard nothing, he arched his eye brow again when the man said he did.
the man then asked them to join then, but gave no name or asked for any names, as he indicated they should follow.
Delon's scans stilled show no building any were but south he then heard renn ask the man "Sir, may I ask where your dwellings are and why are they so well hidden? Is there a threat of wild animals or some other danger our Riov might need to be aware of."

"There is nothing that will harm her or you, Jerrod Renn. " The man did not turn as he spoke but continued walking. The building complex began as a shimmer and slowly solidified. It was plain and built low to the ground. Structures, people and even animals became visible to them as they entered the complex. He led them to one of the smaller buildings and stooped through the low door. It was cool inside and smelled of the rich ground it had been cut into. They were able to stand once inside and could see the simple but well constructed furnishings and numerous amenities.
"You may stay here as honored guests. Food will be brought for you shortly. Please rest and enjoy yourselves. A meeting will be arranged for later." The man left and as the door closed, the strange feeling that seemed to have held Liordra broke. The man had incredible power. What he wished her to feel, she did. If he wanted her to feel no fear and to trust in him completely, she did so. Why? Yet it did not seem that he intended them any harm, and had in fact treated them graciously. Liordra deep a deep breath to clear her head and looked to the others. "Observations?" She asked. The question came more sharply than she intended. Command of herself had been returned but a fear remained in the pit of her stomach of how easily it had been stripped from her.

Looks at the Riov "He carries his self with great pride and power, the buildings being so low to the ground hid them from the scans lhhei"
He smelled the rich ground it had been cut into. Looking around it was bigger inside than it looked out side from setting low to the ground, the room had simple but well constructed furnishings and numerous amenities.
