"Things are as they are Commander. In my field you learn fast to see things not in a nightmarish way but more realistically. Nightmares would impede ones ability to work." She smiled.
"Would you listen to me my apologies sir. I was distracted, I canna wait to return to the Terrasect. It seems like ages since we've been here." she laughed softly.

Hearing Ijoula respond and then report, he listened as as he informed him that the Structural Integrity of the Jackson wasn't quite up to par and needed more time to calibrate
"All right. I shall position the Terrasect close enough to where the Doctor can transport over and we can activate the tractor beam and start towing the Jackson at Impulse."
He heard Doctor MacAuley in the background and his whiskers quivered, pleased to hear her voice. He then turned toward Buford at Helm "Bring us along side the Jackson, once the Tractor beam is attached, lay in a course for SB 234, at half impulse."
Turning back toward Tactical, to see if Lt Greyhouse is still there or if she went off duty at his last announcement. He would tell her, or her Beta shift replacement "Once we're in position, lock on the tractor beam. Make sure we have a solid lock. The Jackson appears to be a bit unstable."

Crio checks the sensors to verify transporter range.
"I believe you, doc. At least you'll be able to get out of the EV suit and not feel so... confined."
He laughed a bit at that, knowing that many feel that the EV suits are extremely restrictive in movement.
"They're in range. Ready when you are. I've set transport coordinates for the bridge, in case they have need of your services up there right away."

"Aye, Commander, I'm more then ready. Shall we leave?"
She stood on the pad and waited.

She waited for the signal from the away team to bring them home. The lock was still maintained. She wondered what was taking so long. Her tail still slightly twitching.

Crio tapped on his arm controls again , to open the comm.
"Ijoula to Kefira, do you have all of your work taken care of? Also, what pilot skill rating do you have as far as use of shuttlecraft?"
After he put out the call to their eager-beaver cadet, he heard the comm go off on his suit.
"Juarez to Commander Ijoula, we've finished in Engineering and the integrity fields are as strong as we can get them. As long as we don't go faster than sublight speeds, we should be okay. When we get back, I'll see about helping Chief Latamn to remodulate the tractor beam to help ease the shearing force on the tow."
"Understood. Run a full sweep of the computer logs for anything of interest, and then meet up with our cadet in the shuttlebay to bring the shuttle home."
He heard a response that sounded like a 'Yes, sir', but couldn't be fully sure as another bout of brief interference hit the comm channel again.
"That drone.... reeking havoc with our suit communications..." he muttered to himself, not happy with all the EM interference caused by the close pass of the drone that he and Kefira had encountered in the Jackson's torpedo bay..
"Ijoula to Terrasect, Doc MacAuley and I are ready to beam back. We've set the shuttle's transporter to bring us to the main bridge, in case there's any injuries up there needing the good doctor's tender touch."
He again tried to lighten the mood, knowing that was a very real possibility, especially after the attack that the sensors on the Jackson had seen as he stepped onto the shuttle's transporter pad, next to MacAuley.
"Computer, energize."
He felt the familiar cool tingle of the transporter beam encircle him and a few seconds later, he found himself and the doctor on the Terrasect's main bridge. With that, he takes off his helmet and is relieved to have it off.

She arrived on the bridge standing next to the commander. Taking off her helmet she shook her head, "Captain its good to be home." she looked around the bridge. Not seeing anyone obviously injured she turned her attention to the captain.

When she saw the away team beaming back, her pleasure at seeing them overtook the pain in her feet. (paws) A very low purr was heard, and the twitching in her tail slightly decreased in its intensity.

Thelis cleared his throat somewhat nervously."Doctor, If you would please wait a moment? Captain, I would like to suggest that you receive a full neurological workup, in light of..in light of the most unusual purchase you've made and the interface created. Until you know how it's activated and how to control it, it would be safest to understand, at least, what exactly's been done."

He listened as Ijoula contacted the Terrasect again, informing them that he and Doctor Ijoula are ready to beam back now that the ship is in range
"Acknowledged, Commander. It will be good to have you back" he said. A few moments later, he saw the Commander and the good Doctor materialize onto the bridge. He stood up and took a step forward, his left leg dragging a bit "It's good to see you back.." He didn't get to finish, a sharp pain at the base of his tail had him down to his knees, growling a bit in pain. He spat a curse in Eeiauoan. He felt his legs go all tingly and he knew that was not a good sign
He then heard the science officer speak up, something he hadn't heard in quite some time.. He listened as he suggested a complete neurological evaluation due to the chip that was implanted into his brain. With effort, he turned toward Thelis "Perhaps that would be the best thing if we are to understand what I purchased, to save the ship, mind you but I am thinking my more immediate injuries take precedance at this time."
He turned to look back to the Doctor to see if she would agree

Crio heard the exchange start between their new science officer and the captain about a "purchase", and was puzzled by what he did in his absence. An idea creeped up into his mind that the captain had bought the device... He decided to ask about it later so that he knew what to expect.
Having taken off his helmet, he made his way toward the center of the bridge, toward Grabfoot, and saw him double over in apparent pain, and he sprinted toward him to help.

Buford could sense the Captains Pain then he smelled the Commander moving toward him.
"Commander Iz would stay back, a Feline isz not someone y'all wunto get near while itz in pain, any more than me, wounded animal in all"
He holds the ship steady "Letz the Captain make the first move, as soon as the tractor beam iz hooked I'll head to Star Base 234 Sir"

The commander came over to assist him and he tried to rise but his left leg would not cooperate, neither would his right, both for different reasons
"Commander, Iz would stay back, a Feline isz not someone y'all wunto get near while itz in pain, any more than me, wounded animal in all" He heard from the Lt at Helm. His whiskers twitched, ears laying back some, he glared at the canine Lt "Animal indeed." He said with a bit of venom "Lt, As much as I admire your wish to protect the safety of the commander, I am not some wild Slashback that would strike out at anyone who would come near. Now, Mr. Canine, do you wish to throw anymore insults while I am down?"
