He would mutter a comment similar in the realm of what m'Leezz said earlier, but with a slight eye roll.
"Guardians above......
What could Vulcans, humans, and Andorians have in mind with this more-or-less coup group of theirs?"
He did take note of the fact that the Vulcans haven't been taking steps toward terrorism, and for that he was equally thankful, as he knows well how calculating and exact Vulcans can be.
"What can they hope to gain by this?? They'd be running the grave risk of plunging the whole quadrant into nothing short of chaos and possibly war."

He listened as Ijoula asked a series of questions concerning this new threat that Jenina brought up
His attention caught when she mentioned "The Trinity " Yes the Trinity, for the 3 races that have started this and play a major role in it. Andorians, Vulcans and Humans. Its believed that the Vulcans are the ones responsible for the lack of any real terrorism." She stated in answer to Ijoula's question
"I wouldn't think the Vulcans would be apposed to the Alliance nor would be capable of terrorism as that requires emotion" He knew that Vulcans were pretty stoic when it came to emotions
"What can they hope to gain by this??They'd be running the grave risk of plunging the whole quadrant into nothing short of chaos and possibly war."
He turned to Ijoula "That could be there objective but they could be just looking to split the Alliance. We just came off the Dominion War, so the quadrant is a bit weak and I doubt anyone's looking to start another war" He hoped

"Each race has its reason for seeing this as perhaps poor judgment at this time. Taking into account the recent end of the war and other factors. However, thats the reason for this Alliance. To allow for a time of peace so we can all get, as I would day back to ourselves."
"Vulcan's have always mistrusted Romulans, Andorians well we know they trust few. And for the Humans old memories?"
"I don't believe the objective is war, if that were case it would be accomplished in other ways. I think it has more to do with wanting an end to the Alliance. As important as this is there will be those who see nothing positive in it."
"Gentlemen we have to end this conference for now. As we gain more Intel it will be passed along. Keep me informed."

He nods to both Grabfoot and to Weslynes.
"Understood, ma'am. As humans would say, godspeed."

"Sounds like a good reason to have this Alliance and time of peace, to help each other recoup from the Dominion war. For those that don't see that, i think they are in poor judgement" That's how he saw it
"Vulcan's have always mistrusted Romulans, Andorians well we know they trust few. And for the Humans old memories?"
He knew some about Vulcans and not so much on Andorians. Humans, he knew pretty well "Humans tend to hold on to too many grudges, they don't want to let go of what happened and keep things going"
"I don't believe the objective is war, if that were case it would be accomplished in other ways. I think it has more to do with wanting an end to the Alliance. As important as this is there will be those who see nothing positive in it."
There is always people stick their tails in where it shouldn't. I think we may have another war, should they succeed in dissolving the Alliace, or a couple civil wars, but I am hoping, by the fur on my body, that doesn't happen"
"Gentlemen we have to end this conference for now. As we gain more Intel it will be passed along. Keep me informed."
He merely gave a nod to the Field Marshal "Yes, Ma'am. I shall keep you posted and will pass any news that comes our way to you, and I'll look forward for any news that you will have for us"

Before her screen went blank she similed at the two men and closed her secured channel. She had a feeling that the Jackson was more then it seemed. That it was touched by the Trinity. She hoped she was wrong.

When the screen went blank, he simply sat down in the chair, usually reserved for the Captain. Course, that is now his chair, since his official promotion to Captain. He was halfway expecting the promotion but he didn't want to take the center seat because something had happened to Captain Harsting. The Terrasect is his ship, no matter who is in the center seat. Now that he is Captain, he will keep the Terrasect going, in his honor. He only he hoped he could be as good a Captain as Captain Jim Harsting. Only time will tell. "Computer. Note in the ship's log, the change in command of the USS Terrasect from Captain James Harsting to myself, Captain Grab Foot Of~Two Dawns, as of Star Date 66921.89"
There was a pause before the computer replyed "Transfer of Command has been entered into the Ship's Log" He simply nodded
He got back up from the seat and turned to look down at it. His tail twitched a bit as he felt it was being pinched a bit by the chair. As Ijoula was still there, he commented to his commander "This chair is a bit small for my stature. I think I will have it replaced but save ths one should our friend return"
He then thought of his Ready room and how he rarely used it as he was mostly on the bridge "Looks like my old ready room is your new one. It stands ready to be used as I have not entered it's confines that often since I had become First Officer"

He nods to him, and pats his shoulder with a slight curl to his fingers.
"I'll be the first to admit that I miss Jim. I hope that sooner or later, we find him alive and well.
I've known him for just over twenty years, if you count Brexen's experiences with him in that equation. With that said, I'd like to think that he'd be proud of you. I know I sure am."
With that said, he curls his fingers again on his shoulder with a slight scratch/massage motion, before removing his hand.
It went without saying that the feeling was mutual to want to uphold the honor that Jim Harsting had gained as the CO of the Terrasect.
Seeing him stand up, he steps back to get out of the way, so that he wouldn't risk having anything stepped on, in a literal way.
"Does the one from your former ready room fit better? We can probably switch them around.
I get the feeling that your tail isn't too comfortable and needs some extra wiggle room." he added, with a joking demeanor.

He felt Ijoula's hand touch his shoulder as he sat down. He thought a moment that thought this is a humanoids gesture of comfort. He heard his words and that helped quell some of his fears "Perhaps our paths will cross again someday"
Hearing him mention Brexen, he hadn't met her but he had heard things about her from time to time. He would have liked to have met her "That is comforting to know, to know that He would be proud of me and supporting me where ever he is"
He got up as his tail was being pinched by the small chair. In his haste, he nearly stepped on Ijoula's foot. If he hadn't moved he would have. His ears, still sore from the surprising encounter with the General, quivered a bit in thought as he mentioned switching the chairs in the two offices "That would be best, you can have this chair and the chair in my old ready room can be moved here"
His tail curled a little bit, yes, it is still sore too, at his tail needing more wiggle room" comment "Yes, it does. These human chairs are most uncomfortable and don't allow room for a tail"
He glanced down at the desk and saw a key blinking. There were reports waiting for him hat he needed to see. Tapping the blinking key, he watched as the reports came up on screen. One was a medical report of an accident in the Holodeck, someone had ski' d into a tree as it suddenly appeared in front of them. He winced slightly as hoped the person would be alright. Knowing Doctor MacAuley, he would be good as new in no time
Another report had an Engineering team going to fix the malfunctioning Holodeck as the good doctor had the Holodeck shut down until it was safe to use again
What caught his attention most was the sudden appearance and disappearance of the distortion off the port nacelle. Perhaps it was nothing but it was not something to simply ignore
Also laying on the desk is Captain Harsting's Captain pips. He slowly reached out and took them into his hand and just studied them. Without looking to Ijoula, he told the commander "If he does return, I'll be sure to give back his pips" With that, he took off his commander's insignia, and affixed the Captain's insignia to his collar. Two things he would return to Harsting upon his return "Now the meeting with the General is over, we should return to the bridge"
He came around the desk and moved toward the exit to the Captain's Ready Room

He is making a report out on the last mission, including the fact that he bought a ship, that includes a neural chip into his brain. Yes, it has been suggested that he get a neural scan of his mind to see how the chip is fuctioning. He'll have to discuss that with Doctor MacAuley soon, before they go on their next mission
He looked up as the chime was activated. He invited his visitor in to find out it's his tactical Officer, Lt Jg Kestral GreyHouse. She came to discuss a transfer, her reason: she felt she is in the wrong field. She wanted to try her hand at medical and voiced the Tarawa is in need of a medical staff. After a moment's thought, he gave a nod and approved her transfer, wishing her the best of luck in her new assignment A few minutes after she left, his ears were quivering in thought, wondering who he could transfer to tactical. He tapped his badge "Lt Thelis, report to the Captain's Office."

He gave his tunic a perfunctory tug and rang the chimes.

Thelis stepped forward and activated the doors. He crossed the room and stopped in front of the Captain's desk.
"You wanted to see me Sir." It was a statement rather than a question.

He watched as the Science officer walk in, coming forward and stopping on the other end of his desk. He looked at him with a neutral expression as he spoke
"Yes, I did." He said, noting his statement rather then the question "The Tactical Officer has transferred to another ship, thus leaving that post vacant. I would like you to shift over and fill that Position. What say you?" He asked, watching and listening for his reaction
