"Hello. I know you've both been have been waiting for this. First I want to thank both of you for continuing as you knew Captain Harsting would want. And you both have done a great job."
"But we find ourselves in a position where we need to make this formal and official Its important for the both of you and for the crew. As of Star date 66921.89, Command on the USS Terrasect NCC 70000 has been changed to reflect the following. Cmdr GrabFoot in light of your work and dedication you will be promoted to Captain. I expect no less then your best at all times."
Lt Cmdr Ijoula you will now be the Cmdr of the Terrasect and its executive officer. As with the captain I expect no less then you best at all times." It was here that the link went quiet.

He stood there, with nothing short of pure surprise written on his face, and not the bad kind of surprise, as he absorbs what they were just told.

He saw the General's visage come up on screen and he would salute her out of respect. It was not often that one such as he got to see the Field Marshal herself
When she spoke, he listened. He nodded when she greeted them then she thanked them for a job well done and continuing as Captain Harsting would have wanted them to do "Thank you, Field Marshal. I am only doing what I feel is right"
"But we find ourselves in a position where we need to make this formal and official Its important for the both of you and for the crew. He thought the Field Marshall had new orders, as in another mission, that the ship would be sent elsewhere and the investigation of the Jackson would either be scrapped or someone else would come in to continue the investigation. He was quite surprised, with a full ears back amazed look, his mouth had also dropped open a bit, at the General's orders, but he was no less pleased with them. If you thought his tail was spiraled before, When he recovered from The Field Marshal's announcement, officially promoting him to Captain, as of Star Date 66291.89, His tail spiraled so tightly into a helix, you would think it would cut off circulation, which in essence, there was a danger of that "Yes, Field Marshall. I will continue to do my best for this ship and crew. I will go on serving the Terrasect in Captain Harsting's honor. I hope that he, and yourself Ma'am, will be proud of me"
He turned to Ijoula as the Field Marshal promoted him to full commander and full XO of the Terrasect. He could see that he was very much surprised as he was and he couldn't help but give a little chuckle-purr "Seems the Commander is speechless, Field Marshall" He said in humor, also feeling ecstatically elated as his new promotion

Having expected new intel into the attack on the Jackson, or some other information that they'd need, the look of pure surprise on his face was pure gold.
"I..I..I...I... wow... Yes.... yes, ma'am.."
Never did he have issues with getting his thoughts out since coming back to the Terrasect than he did at this moment, this was indeed a rare sight. He still had a hard time believing what he was hearing, but gradually, it registered as good news, and a smile finally came across his face.

She smiled as she watched the shock subside. Now this was a moment that should have been recorded on a holocamera.
"I'm glad your both pleased with this news. Now for the other matter. There has been rumors, rumblings of a possible movement within the Federation in reguard to the Alliance. Nothing has been placed in concrete yet as they say, or is that stone?" [/green] Looks quizzial for a moment. "What I'm about to relay is to stay with you both for now"
"This movement is opposed to the Alliance and wants to see it end. As I said, at the moment there is nothing concrete known. Keep your eyes open and let me know of anything that might speak to the activities of a group that seeks to destoy the Alliance."
"I have also heard that the the other major powers have such a stirrings. But that is not our concern." She once again was silent."

He listens more as he tries to get his mouth to work right. He finally had to pinch himself in the arm, out of sight of the monitor, to get his thinking sorted out.
"Ma'am, is there even a remote chance that this group would be behind the attack on the Jackson? We've found the ship but her supplies have apparently been stripped clean to the grav plating. The crew apparently had to abandon ship, and it seems that as the escape pods were launched, someone was trying to destroy them. I'll be taking an away team over to hopefully find more clues, once we get all the information our sensors can give us."
He pauses for a moment, debating on adding something, and decides to go for it.
"I believe the correct human expression is 'set in stone', ma'am."

He looked at Ijoula, who seemed to be genuinely speechless. Something he has never seen in his new commander, not even when he was the Tactical officer about this very same ship
He looked back to the Field Marshall, slowly relaxing out of his surprised, happy/elated reactions. He winced slightly as he un spiraled his tail a bit to get the circulation flowing fully again. His ears started to come back into their normal position and he noticed that they were a bit sore too. That was quite a surprise and he knew he will be sore for a day or two, but it is a good soreness
He listened as Jenina launched into the other topic on her mind. His tail twitched a bit, he ignoring the tingle of pain, at the movement within the Federation wanting to break up the Alliance. She added that the other powers may also have factions working to split up the alliance but that was none of their concern
He heard Ijoula recover from his surprise as well as he launched into telling the General what the current mission is and what we had found so far, or not found
He looked at Crio with a puzzled look when he told the General of the human expression "set in stone" He just shook his head slightly, not familiar with the term "Humans and their strange expressions" he commented

"It maybe the work of that group continue with your investigation. Keep me informed. Is there anything else Gentlemen? And thank you for letting me know its set in stone." she smiled.
OOC: This is an introduction to the new SL that will be part of the UF as a group if the Co's want to use it. At this point, there is nothing more then rumors, hearsays.

He gave a nod to the Field Marshall "We shall keep our eyes watchful and our ears listening as we travel the path of the Stars. If someething should happen, then I'll send you a subspace message alerting you of our progress"
He looked at Ijoula to see if he had anymore to say, catching Jenina's comment about things being set in stone

He nodded, agreeing with Grabfoot's remark.
"Is there anything that we should lookout for that would be a tell-tale sign of this rogue group you mentioned?"

"At this point, we only have amessed the beginings. Intel is sketchy at best. There is a possibility they may have found a way to become space worthy but that again is not verified."
"We are really gathering information at this point. But so far" her expression becomes serious, "there has been acts on various planets that range from demonstrations, to out right acts of terrorism."
"We've heard that they are calling themselves The Trinity."

"The Trinity?" he repeats, quizzically.
With a frown, he tries to take that in, and is angered a bit by the idea outright terrorism acts within the Federation's borders, as well as within the realms of their allies.

" Yes the Trinity, for the 3 races that have started this and play a major role in it. Andorians, Vulcans and Humans. Its believed that the Vulcans are the ones resposibile for the lack of any real terrorism."
"And for that we can be thankful."
