Along with Riov Cretak's sudden reassignment came the Dhivael's new orders. They were being sent to the Neutral Zone to observe and monitor the path of the Nexus, the temporal phenomenon who's full capabilities were unknown and considered a potential threat to the security of the Empire's borders. With it's recent appearance, they would be tasked with determining the degree of that threat and if necessary eliminating it.
They would need to travel to the Nimbus System, almost to the opposite end of the Zone from where they currently were, to intercept. There were undoubtedly many ships closer to the Homeworlds who could have responded more quickly, but for some reason the Empire has specifically requested the assistance of the Alliance Fleet and of Dhivael.
"Helm, set course for the Nimbus System in the Terod Sector."
