" It would be a poor choice on his part. I know basic physiology, and could probably use a hypo spray but I'm not qualified medically. Even if I make a recommendation for medication, it still has to be approved by the CMO. On the reverse though, I'd expect that she wouldn't attempt to make psychological diagnoses." Nemi narrowed her eyes and glared at him with mock indignation. "And you said that just to get a rise out of me, didn't you?"

Not necessarily a rise, but a reaction yes. He smiles. You can't get to know someone by asking them the weather or the 'so where are you from' questions. I find that pushing someones buttons gives you a true measure of their nature and spirit.

"That can be a dangerous game to play but from my own observations, I'd say you're accustomed to pushing the envelope and your own personal limits. " How did you come to be assigned to Tarawa, if you don't mind me asking a question now?"

Oh, I don't mind but its a boring story. He said as he led her out of the gym. I was kicked around from ship to ship because of a certain General who's name I've been sworn never to utter. I was always a great pilot, but my dad thought I need to mature. I had apparently done enough penance for him because I woke up one morning with orders to ship out here.

"Always a great pilot, eh?" She laughed. "Let me add humble to the list of things I know about you." Then sobering "It's hard not knowing if it's your own merits that are being rewarded or whether you're only being sent where someone wants you to be." She resisted further analysis. "Where to now? "

I thought the lounge might be a good place for a rest and a chance to 'observe the' natives in their habitat'. He laughed

He walked into the Gym taking and decided to run 10 kilometers full gear just like the ground troops would wear. All this waiting was killing him.He was trained to be disciplined and patient like a good marine is trained but the thought of Kaine's disappearance was wearing hard on him and the rest of the crew he did not need to be a counselor to know that.
