She nodded and increased the weight. and started pushing with her legs. She could fell her legs buckling they were still not as strong as they were. She was on about the 17 rep on her 1st set when she felt a sharp pain in her right leg. She screamed out in pain and grabbed her leg. "Damn it!" Is about all that could be understood the rest was in Russian.

He stopped and got up to look at her leg. It didnt' look terribly damaged but he could see it was flushed red. You know that is not proper language in russian or standard. He pulled her up and put her her arm around his waist for support. I think you are done for now. Push any harder and we'd be visiting sickbay. The looks became blantant and a few snickers but Jack turned around and slilenced the room.

She was in so much pain that tears had started to run down her eye's. "Good going Lexi." She shook her head. " Stop I can't walk...again my temper has gotten the best of me." She held on to him, she could not put any weight on her leg. " I don't want to go to sick bay.....If you would can you carry me to my quarters?" She wiped some tears from her face.

I can carry you, but there's one problem. He smiled embarrassed. I never finished my walkthrough so you'll have to direct me to your quarters. He swept her off her feet and smiled again.

She smiled. " My quarters are on Deck 2 portside." She put her right arm around his neck.

He carried her out and into the cooridor and entered the lift.

They exited the turbolift and entered the gym. I thought we might stop by her as a rest bit. I felt that no one really wants to visit the brig and Major Aniri and Colonel Hall are planning the extraction. Man, I'd love to be in on that conversation. He snaps out of another trance. I'm beginning to like the Captain. He seems to really enjoy what he does.

"Extraction? Has Colonel Kaine been found or have they heard something that leads them to believe they know where she is?" She settled in on a bench but her attention was attracted to a sparring dummy that measured the placement accuracy and the power of a hit. "What will happen if Colonel Kaine does return? Will she be given command again?"

"Speculation on my part," He corrected. "I haven't been 'read in' on the plans involving Colonel Kaine, and even if I were I couldn't tell you. As far as Kaine's future, I'm sure there are a lot of important people that will debate that and they'll have higher pay grades than both of us.

"True enough. Often times I've wanted to be in that position with access to all the information, not just what gets handed down and just as often I remind myself that it's as much as burden as it is a privilege."She stood up and took a gentle swing at the dummy which obligingly rocked back and forth. "The gym seems a good place for a casual workout, but I assume you use the holodeck for training scenarios. Any programs there that you've developed personally? Not that I'm trying to take over as tour guide." She grinned. "You've been doing a wonderful job."

"Hand to hand training I tend to have myself and my men used the ones issued by the CSEC. He thought. As far as flight goes we have our own simulators. I was wondering about something you said earlier. How do Judge Advocate General use a psych counselor?

"There are generally several trained psychiatrists on staff. They're needed to help make determinations in situations such as competency hearings and assessing the mental health of an individual to determine if they are able to understand the nature of an offense and therefore are able to stand for court-martial. A psychiatrist is needed to help in evaluating fitness for duty, gauging elements such as diminished capacity, psychogenic pain, and threat assessment and if often called upon to testify regarding his or her findings. That certainly sounded like it came right out of the textbook, didn't it?" She laughed.

Yes it did, He laughed. I'm sure you could quote me the page. Which I wanted to ask you. Are you a trained therapist or a Psychiatrist, I just wondered if I should call you Doctor?

"1Lt Doctor Nemesis Xenakis. Sounds ridiculous doesn't it? I suppose Admiral Lord Nelson can get away with the use of two titles but I think it sounds pretentious." She grinned.
"Yes, I have my doctorate, but I prefer not to use the title. It can be especially confusing aboard ship, so if you don't mind, counselor is just fine."

It will be our little secret 'Counselor', He gave a conspiratorial smile. Just don't let it out too loud. From the impression I got from Allen he likes to put all of his officers to full use. You'll find yourself doing duty in sickbay along with counseling."
