"I think I'm feeling better now than I did on the bridge. I intend to have a long chat with Grabfoot later to see if that whole problem can get settled before it affects bridge morale."
He would sit back down, but in the chair next to hers.
"I often find that music helps me to get feeling better. I know that may sound odd, but for some, it works."

"Its not odd. Instermental music sooths and comforts or can excite or even scare people. Just depends on the mellody and the insturments."
She smiled and let him sit next to her

"That's very true. Don't forget the volume of the music, too. If it's really loud, it can irritate instead of relax."
He would look at her more.
"Can I get you something a bit more appropriate than all that chocolate we had earlier?" he said while fighting not to laugh.

"If you wish to share a proper meal with me then I must tell you that in doing so you are making a gesture of wanting to try and court me."
She could tell that he was fighting not to laugh for some reason or another but didn't say anything about it just told him what sharing a meal between a man and a women meant to her family.

He was definitely surprised, as he really and truly didn't realize the significance of that gesture, that it meant more than just a simple offer to help avoid a bad stomach ache from eating so much in sweets.
"I'll be honest, I didn't realize the offer had that significance tied to it. I had just thought, that since we had so much chocolate earlier..." he said, chuckling a bit as he said 'chocolate'.
He clearly has the appearance of thinking deeply on what she said about it, as if weighing options.

"You will have to tell me what a meal means to you then it it means something else to you and I will see if I can handle it or if I have to refuse."
She looked at him seeing that he was thinking. She knew that she has stepted in it this time with bringing up what things meant to her family. But she wanted to be honist with him and not hide anything from him. After all the most meaningful relations started with complete honisty and open communication.

"Quite often, a meal with another person usually means just that -- a chance to dine together and perhaps get to know the other person or persons better. Admittedly, that's the idea I had in mind, unless that would create a problem with your traditions... "
He thinks for a minute before coming up with an idea.
"I can get some drinks instead if that'll work better."

"No more drinks. I have already dishonored my family and myself enough as it is for one night. I beleive I can have dinner with you without getting my hopes up as you have exsplained to me how you view the dinner as being."
She got up from the chair and started to walk about the room her back was getting stiff again and it was getting towards the time that she needed to be in the back brace.
"Do you mind if I ask the computer to transport something from my room to yours because my back is getting mad being out of pattern."

Crio would nod, understanding.
"Sure, go ahead. Is it that brace you were speaking about?"
He moved, ready to help her with it if needed.

"Yeah, and if you could help me with it that would be great since I am not really supose to be wearing it so lose."
She asked the computer to get her back brace and it was a plastic form to her back that came that had straps on it.
"There it is. The thing my back has to be in for a set amount of time in a day so I don't go walking lopted sided in a day."

He picks it up when it fully materializes and looks it over a bit.
"I hope this doesn't sound insensitive of me, but how long must you wear this brace each day?"
He helps her get into the brace.

She puts her arms out as he tightens the straps on her and gets her in the brace.
"Nine hours minimum but if I can spend more time in it the better. My spine actually curves off center so I have to set it back center with the brace."

He finishes tightening it, but not so tight that she can't breathe.
"I believe it. Dare I ask what happened? I doubt this has been a life-long battle.."
He finishes getting the straps in place, wondering in the back of his mind if there's a permanent solution for her injury.

"Thank you for helping me it really means alot for you to do that. This has been something I have been battleing wih since I graduated from the acadamy and got pined under a beam and some bulkhead of the training ship I was on.
They didn't intend on us being in a live amo fight so there was no sheilding to the ship. Well there was sheilding but they were not enought to stand up to a good phaser blast. I fired back with our 'phasers'. Long story short fire fight and then got rescued by a real starship that could defend itself.
Yes, I could have gotten it fixed but no I don't really want to at this point. The point that it could have gotten fixed better is when I've dealt with it for a few years so now I just do the brace and monitoring thing and I'm fine. Until I get stressed then I get light headed and fall over....sometimes....only in the prences of a cute guy....did I just say that? Now I am embarised."
She started blushing red now not because the brace was on good but because she just spoke a inner thought outside that she normally never would have done given any other ciromstance.
"So do you got anything 'weard' that I should know about you besides your friend who lets you hear a bunch of voices?"

He decided that there were some interesting things about himself, but one would have to be kept for a far more intimate time.
"Well... let me see.. aside from cold hands, I enjoy playing instrumental music. I favor mostly keyboard instruments, but am also working on getting better at flute. I do have several concert hall holodeck programs that I like to practice in, including a few from Earth.
I do enjoy rock climbing and also a good workout on the holodeck with a calisthenics program.
I periodically like to go to the phaser range for target practice, as it keeps my eyes and reflexes sharp."
He also likes an occasional holonovel, but rarely has time to participate in them.
"What about you? Anything of interest?"
