She listened intently, and then she frowned a bit, noting the seriousness of the situation. Her fierce determination came to the fore, her emotional attachment to Harsting quite strong, considering the bond of friendship they had formed when serving together. It could become quite clear that she was extremely unwilling to sit on the sidelines if she could help rescue one of her closest friends.
"With all due respect, captain, James Harsting knows more about Federation starship design and technologies than most, likely even more than I do. Hans referred to him as a 'walking, talking, library computer' of anything and everything related to Federation starship engineering and design." she said, gesturing to the picture. "About 95% of the systems on this vessel were designed by the three of us, as a team, many of them based on James' ideas, along with the overall design of the Terrasect. I can guarantee you that whoever had the nerve to abduct him from Earth either has a personal grudge against him, or is aware of his extensive engineering expertise, or likely both... Therefore, it is absolutely imperative that we find him and bring him back, preferably alive." her tone was one that left little room for any disagreement.

He could tell that he had Brexen's attention, and most likely Crio's, wherever he is hidden inside. The frown on her face told him that she took this situation very serious, as he did
He listened to her comments after he spoke, casting another glance to the picture as she had pointed. He spoke again after she did "I am aware of his standing and his knowledge of this ship and other ships of the fleet, which makes it imperative, as you have mentioned, that we find Jim Harsting. I have not been informed that he has been kidnapped. I would not like to jump to that conclusion until I have positive proof. He could have simply went exploring since he is retired and a civilian. I had fully planned to go out in search for him, whether Star Fleet has given orders to or not." He heard the tone in her voice and presumed that she fully believed that Jim Harsting to be kidnapped. He could be, but he is giving thought to ALL possibilities. He didn't want to end up going on a wild goose chase, as the human phrase is expressed

She would nod once.
"Perhaps, but he'd normally let a friend know what was going on, at least. I'll take my leave for now. Just let Crio know if you need to speak with me..."
With that, Crio's eyes closed again, and an energy pulse went up his spots to his head. The peculiar 'rushing breeze' sound was audible to the captain once more as this process happened. After it was complete, Crio slowly opened his eyes, a bit dazed and dizzy, and would lightly grab onto the chair arm for support, as he looked around. His eyes would then focus on the captain again.
"It's me, sir, more or less. I'll be okay, once the ship stops spinning." he said with humor, hoping to lighten the mood, despite being disoriented from the experience. "I'll also see about putting together a mission briefing for the senior staff."

He would give a one nod response to Brexen as she stated that Jum Harsting would most likely let someone know where he is going then excused herself to let Crio take over. He briefly thought that perhaps he wanted to surprise the visitor that he is intending to visit?
He was looking straight at Brexen/Crio when the "change" occured. With their close proximity, and the fact that it was quiet in his quarters, he could hear the muted whoosh or breezy sound that accompanied the change. He even seen what looked like a dim electrical charge run up the side of his neck and head. He couldn't help but stare at the Trill Commander. That being the first time he had actually seen such an occurance take place
Although Crio looked disoriented and dizzy when he returned, he made no move to help him, assuming that is normal for the commander. His tail spiraled ion humor as the commander told him he would be alright once the ship stopped spinning. It wasn't the ship spinning, he mused He then asked after the commander commented about putting a MB together for the senior staff "Did Commander Broker hint at where Jim was going, last known coordinates that sensors picked up before Jim went missing?" He paused to waut for his response, and for Crio to regain his bearing

Crio would rub at his eyes a bit as they focused again.
"All I was told was that he was heading to Earth and never made it from the orbital spacedock. If he wanted to just go on vacation, last I knew, he liked going to Risa. For that matter, so would I... I can check the logs of all the transports that left the Terran system in the time frame of his disappearance, and go from there..."
He realizes now that he made a mistake in describing Brexen. "I probably should've warned you that Brexen can potentially 'step on your tail,' when she is trying to make her points clear... I believe that's another reason why Jim wanted her aboard - to be a voice of reason to help him."
