After 5 minutes they finally get into the roller coaster. She sits down and while the bar is lowered she smiles at him. The roller coaster is an older one and as it starts it moves in a jerky way. When they reach the top of the first hill she raises her arms and starts to laugh.

He raised his hands as they headed down but instead of looking at the rollercoster path he watched her taking in her reactions. The expressions on her face her wind swept hair. The lines in her face as she smiled. He turns his attention ahead, but periodically looks back at her. He could tell that this was a program from a place she had been regularly and was a place to go when homesick.

She moved with the dips and turns of the roller coaster not once taking the bar. She laughed as the ride continued on its predetermined path. At the of the ride after Marc climbed out she took his hand and climbed out as well. Walking down the ramp she turned left.
"Do you like ferris wheels? I was once stuck in one for over 2 hrs. And it got windy so it was a little hairy."

He pulled her up from the car and held her hand as she stepped to stable ground. Getting stuck on the Ferris Wheel with you? A very appealing thought. Lead the way.

They got on line and waited for 10 minutes. She was forgetting the mission and the hard realities of it. She leaned against him, "I hope your having fun? Some people don't like the amusement parks? I adore them."
When the wheel stopped they got in and sat down.

I've always liked amusement parks. He walks with her and puts his arm around her. I worked at traveling one when I was a kid for a summer almost went off with them. At the time, the carny life appealed to me. Its a 'by the seat of your pants' life.

"Yes it would be. That was darning or at least to me. Did you get to go to many places?"

I didn't go with them, but life as a pilot has taken me to many places that I would have never gotten to as a carny. So all and all it worked out.

"I know what you mean. Since joining I have seen so many things I could never see at home. And I guess you know or figured out I enjoy and adrenaline rush. And well Hope Valley just doesn't have many of them."
"Davy was born in Hope Valley. But when my mom got sick he went to Davids parents for a few months before joining me. That was the first time in 5 years I was home."

I'm sure there was many a day when you pushed you luck on the roller coaster trying to achieve that adrenal rush. He slides close to her as the wheel begins to slowly turn. I have to admit, I haven't had a date like this since I was a teenager. There are times when I'm with you that I feel like that awkward kid of my youth. You can be disarming.

"Me disarming? Why I never." she laughed. "I've been told that once or twice or something similiar. Maybe its the Marine training." She shrugged her shoulders.
"And yes once on the roller coaster the car jumped a little and I had to grab the bar. My heart was pounding for the remainder of the ride. When I told my father" he said, "What do you expect, your more of a son I swear." She laughed.

He laughed and suddenly the wheel stopped at the very top. Oh no, you are definitely all woman. He looked around for moment. Well at least we get the best view.
