Sitting in the waiting room he hears the recall of the crew and shore leave is over, then that all Senior Officers were to report to Kaine, he then hears Kaine tell him to report to her ready room.
Standing up he looks around, then headed for the Ready Room Taping his Com Badge On my way Ma'am he says

He smiled as he escorted the new counselor out of her office. Well ma'am, apparently you aren't aware of my reputation. I would fear more for yours than I would for mine.

She gave him a look of surprise and mock horror. "Are you saying I should be concerned with possible ulterior motives? Will we become grist for the gossip mill? " She laughed. "I'm willing to risk being seen in your company since you're risking public eschewal being in mine.

I think I'll survive. He suppressed his laughter. Shall we start with the Marine deck?

"With the fighters on alert this tour won't take you too far away to respond if needed will it?" She gestured for him to take the lead.

Like a good CO, I know how to delegate. He leads her to the lift. Besides, I want to see how my second handles things. I know how I like the flight deck run. I need to see if she picks up on that. Its the thing about being an Exec thats hard. The CO may not do things the way you would, but its not your command so you need to walk the line aiding, and offering and alternative point while not trying to force your own views. Its one of the reasons we are not going to the Hangar deck first. It will be last. That will give me a chance to show you the ship and her a chance to get a feel of the deck. Didn't mean to talk 'shop' with you.

"I recently found out that at one time the CAG was considered the coequal of the Captain and received the same pay. It says quite a bit about the leadership expected in the position, I think." She ignored the shop talk remark and continued. "Likewise the exec needs to remember at all times that he or she has to be ready to step in and fill that leadership position at a moment's notice, even it's their first day on the job." The lift stopped and opened onto the Marine Deck. She saw the Sergeant there she'd met in the Mess Hall. Not sergeant, her eye caught the officer's insignia. "Lieutenant Greathouse?"

The message light on her console continued to flash. It hadn't been flagged as urgent , so it had nor been forwarded to her on the bridge. Nemi stopped in between shifts and found Bradley's invitation. She smiled and sent back a brief acknowledgment.
"I would enjoy the opportunity to talk with you once we have the opportunity."

(Continued from Sickbay)
Waiting only a moment after the doors closed, Nemi tapped her comm.
"Colonel Allen. This is Counselor Xenakis. Can I speak to you privately? It's urgent."

He exited the TL walked down the corridor and came to the counselor's office. He rang the chime wondering what was so important that it could not wait for the Tarawa to dock.

She admitted the Colonel quickly, hoping that Arai hadn't seen him.
"Thank you for coming, Sir" Nemi said without preamble. She still had the padd the doctor had given her and passed it to Allen. "I risk alienating the doctor's trust by doing this but as I was not specifically included in the orders and she only asked for my voluntary cooperation, I feel that you need to know what to expect when we arrive at the Starbase."

Taking the PADD and reading it closely."The way this is written and signed there is no way of telling where it came from."
"I have already put my report into the General's office and there was to be no investigation. Is this all you can tell me about whatever this is beside the Doctor asking for you to help her?"

"She's made it clear that she wants to help Colonel Kaine in whatever way she can. She believes that since the choice is given of either a Medical or a Dishonarable discharge, that we're being given an option. If we're 'cooperative', perhaps our reports can influence that decision. If there is anything else Colonel, you would need to ask the Doctor directly and that would place her in the position of having to decide who's orders to follow."

Taking a Data PADD from the counselor's desk he transfered the orders to it.Handing Lt. Xenakis the original PADD back."Thank you counselor for bringing this to my attention."
"I have read Doctor Aria's back ground I do not see her doing anything illegal to assist Colonel Kaine. So I ask you to give her a hand if you can.If you feel you can't for whatever reason it will not reflect badly on you in any way."
"If you will excuse me counselor Xenakis I have to get back to the Bridge we should be docking any minute and I have a couple of things to do." He headed for the TL and stepped in,Bridge."
Once the TL began to move he tapped his Comm Badge,"Ralph meet me in my office I am heading for the Bridge now.My orders stand once docked nobody leaves or comes aboard this ship period until we clear up a situation."
Shaking his head not believing what was going on he did have an ace up his sleeve and he would use it,Colonel Kaine would not be dishonorably discharged.
