She wakes up, startled at finding herself in the rockingchair. She smells food and wanders to the other room groggily. She sees Thomas making breakfast and smiles, taking a peice of toast. "Hi querido... don't we have duty soon?" She yawns and rubs her eyes.

Looking at the time Morgan grabbed her PADD and put away a file she was reading.She left her small office walked across the training area to Major Iverson's office and rang the chime.

He listened intently as Jay put out a very real scenario that would explain much of what was going on.
He tapped the ship wide communications."Attention Tarawa Crew there will be a meeting in the ready room for all department heads at 10:00 hundred hours."
He looked back at Jay,"Being a warrior race yourself what would your next move be if you were this mystery ship?"

She was at her desk reviewing a training schedule, when the chime rang. Looking at the time she saw it was 0927 hours. She thought to herself impressive, not to early, just enough to show she was her toes.
"Come"
She watched her enter, crossing the short distance and then salute her. Returning the salute, she smiled.
"Have a seat. For future reference there is no need to salute me here. When you returned yesterday I pulled your service record, very nice. What I want right now, is to get to know you on a personal level."
"I think we can work better if I know you a little. And quite frankly it would help you too, to learn a little about who is the person behind this desk."
"I also think if I begin it will be easier. Hmm lets see. I grew up in a one horse town on Earth, Rhode Island to be exact. The towns name is Hope Valley, with a population of under 10,000 can you guess what the hope is?" She had a wide smile.
"Before coming here, I was with the 101st Marine Pathfinders. We were on a mission when my husband Colonel Iverson was killed. Some traitors, attacked him, then tried to set him up as a traitor. I won't go into specifics, but I cleared my husband David, and made those who did this wish to god they never had. One still sings sprano." Her face showed the hurt she still felt, and a hardness come into her eyes mostly.
"Anyways David and I never had children. Our careers made that difficult we were rarely in the same area. When it came time to clean out the apartment we had, man it was hard. I came across a document that showed he made a special deposit in a very special bank for his brother, who was sterile."
"I grabbed the chance to have Davids child. It worked. Now I have a wonderful son, 6 months old. I'll be sending for him soon. I came to the Tarawa to finish up my reenlistment. But, man this is where I belong. So. One more thing I am not a morning person. Unless your Davey, I can be grouchy.
She heard the announcement. Looked at the time and saw there was plenty of time.
"So what makes you Lt Morgan Conner?"

She listened intently as the Major told her a short summary of her life.She tried not to show to much emotion as she explained what had happened to her husband.
"Lets see,I was born and raised in Austin Texas a real wild child you could say.I really had no idea what to do with my life.I just knew that partying every night would get me nowhere."
"One day I was out job hunting when a massive thunderstorm come down on me.I ran into the nearest building."Chuckling,"It happened to be a Marine recruiting office.I listened to what the recruiter said and I knew thats where I was supposed to be.I have never looked back."
"As for the person I am a tee shirt and jeans type of girl.I still like beer and hot wings.I have never had a serious relationship but it does not mean I do not look."Laughs slightly."One more thing I am a morning person so if I act to perky just tell me to knock it off."

"Morning perky type person." shakes her head and laughs. "oh I will say something." Laughs
"Then it might be better for the Marines if you do a lot of the Morning things. Besides there is usually a ton of things to do here. Sometimes to much."
"Any injuries to report, or anything else? I didn't receive the usual very mundane reports, I remember that being my job as MXO. Oh, we have a Marine, who I swear could fall off his feet, firmly planted on the surface doing nothing."
"Thats Pvt Peterson, if this continues we'll need to send him to sickbay and the CNS to find out the cause."

She handed the Major her morning report."I believe this is what you are looking for Major."
"One injury ummm its Pvt Peterson he uhh apparently sprained his ankle putting his boots on.I have no idea how but he did."

She took the Padd, glancing over it then put it in her pile of reports to finish.
"Pvt Peterson, lets keep a phaser out of his hands. For everyones safety."
Looking at the time she stood up. We can finish this later, I have a meeting. If you have any suggestions, comments etc I want you to talk to me. We are the head of the Marines, and if are not working together we have already lost."
She walks around her desk and walks out in the direction of the bridge.

Kasia finished with her paitents as she hears the call from the captain. She wonders over to the CMO's office. "Shall we go to the meeting soon? My paitents are taken care of."

Cordais turned in time to see Major Aniri enter the bridge. The Andorian was difficult to miss at best. She had not had the chance to meet her as yet and wondered what her feelings were on the Rihannsu.
She watched the exchange between her and Dorius and then snapped back to business as she heard the Captain's command.
"Science station reports everything in order, Ma'am."

"I agree no phasers,I will put him to work doing inventory on our emergency rations."
"You got it Major I will talk to you first about those men and women out there working hard."
She walked out with Major Iverson and went to her office to finish up her pile of tedious paperwork.

Thomas looked over at Kyah and smiled before he looked at the time. "Yes, we do.", he would reply back to her. He did not realize of how much time had passed. He could clean up the mess in the kitchen that he made and take the boys to the nursery this morning. Especially since that Kyah did that yesterday morning.
"Well, at least we can get a quick bite before we can go. I'll take the boys to the nusery today.", he would say to her as he picked up a piece of sausage and ate it.

She grabs her own padd that contained her own reports over the last few days and hurries after the doctor. "Doctor what do you think the meeting will be about?" she asked as they walked to the turbo lift. |
