"Lt Saris, I would like your imput and how we might have security teams sent to the colony and its facilities."
She looked at Dr Meers and waited for his response.

She steps forward, I would not recommend beaming down into the colony's. But to the south and the northwest of the mining colony, there are natural mesas, hills and such to cover our approach. Also it wold be best to make this a night time incursion. She paused for a minute. If we beam down about 880 yards away (0.5 miles) that should give the teams enough time to reach the facility and avoid a drastic temperature change.
She took another pause, Now the research facility is a different story Ma'am. I tryed to access some information on it and the area around it but it is restricted. Only Command Staff at HQ have access. But I would still recommend a night time incursion and find the best place to beam down near the facility and make our way from there. She waits for the Majors reply.

'I'll look to the records, ma'am. Until then I won't be having any insight to offer.' He'd sort of smile. 'I like to have my facts first, then I find I can speculate with the best of them.' He was used to pressure, but more of the battle field type. This was new, and it intrigued him.

As she spoke to each officer she looked directly at them and her antenna would curve in the direction of the officer. Her antenna were almost in constant motion.
"Lt Meers, make that a priority I want you best and most intelligent approximation on the question I posed to you. What I find interesting is the fact none of these accidents have been serious. Just enough to slow down work."
"In addition, very mild cases of illness have been reported again nothing serious. Things such colds, migraine headaches, cramps, etc. Give me your best answers, based on the information available."
"Lt Elbrun, you have been customarily quiet. Have you anything to add?"
She stopped talking and took a sip a water.
"Lt Saris, any Intel you attempt to access on the research facility is on a need to know basis. What I can and will tell you is that the research being done is of interest to many parties."
"Lt Saris, I agree with you if we need to enter in such a fashion. I also want your assessment for the following situation. We arrive and using a shuttle we enter both the mining and research facilities. How would you suggest we proceed?"

Kestra was watching what was going on in the meeting, listening to what all was being said. She would hear her name being called and looked over towards Major Aniri.
“I do apologize for being so quiet, Ma’am.”, she said with a smile. “With the attacks that are happening on both colonies, there will be a lot of people that will be under a lot of stress. Some may end up having post traumatic stress disorder.”, she continued.
As for as why these attackers was doing this, she was not yet determined any psychotically any reason of their behavior. It would be something that has to find out to see if there was any.
“I can help the people in the colonies with any stress problems, including to see if I could ‘sense’ attackers that could still be on the colonies.”
She knew that she is not the only telepath/empathic on the ship. Perhaps the others would also aide in ‘sensing’ these attackers. Although, they do have to be careful of what they do pick up. Betazoids always have a rule not to use their telepathic/empathic abilities against another person’s will. When it comes to using telepathic in counseling uses, the use of telepathy in assessment or treatment of any sentient being is prohibited without informed consent, expect when imminent danger or harm exists. Also, conversely, empathic impressions are considered a normal method of gathering data, same as using hypotheses, similar to impressions gathered through other senses such as sight and hearing.

Kyah sits back and works on the specifications for the probe that would go out and scan the ore. She keeps an ear on the conversation as well, of course, but focuses her eyes on the PADD.

Accidents resulting in minor injuries. Symptoms that could fit any number of illnesses or reactions to some outside source. Not the best set of clues, but Jerhid had dealt with less. And one thing he'd learned was get as much input as possible. Brainstorming. His dark eyes regarded Ensign Kaz. He suspected she would have plenty of ideas to add to the mix. Getting her and McFerrin together for a meeting of minds would be his first goal after the meeting. The more minds that worked on a problem, the more likely a solution could be found.

She bit her lip, she hated to hear need to know basis, but then she thought to herself S.N.A.F.U. She took a deep breath and let it out. Then Major Aniri I would suggest if we go down in a shuttle we use a type 11 with two fighters to cover the landing. The shuttle and fighters would have to be equipped with defensive counter measures, in case there are any surprises.
This is risky but it should be close to daylight maybe early morning or few hours before sunset. That way we can at least see what we are getting into. I also think it would be a good idea to hit both places at the same time, in case there is a unknown force there it might cut there response. She waited to for the major's response.

Jerhid enjoyed learning about people, and most particularly, about Vash. Watching her, listening to her professionalism, it enhanced his initial perception of her. This was a strong, assured woman who knew what she was doing, and how to get things done. And she was beautiful while doing it.

She listened to them as they spoke. The Doctor was cautious and methodical traits important in his profession. In retrospect the information she gave him was vague. The only real thing to alert them to this as abnormal was the amount, timing, and the degree of it.
Lt Vash was showing herself to be capable in spite of her experience. So far her insights spoke of one who was doing this longer.
Lt Elbrun, I'm sure yet how or when your unique services will be required. So be alert to anything I should know.
Lt Moon, I want you to work with our science officer in regards to launching the probe. I want you to fully understand it and where it is to be send. I want no errors.
MCapt Dorius what can you tell me from your perspective?

Kestra listened as Major Aniri continued to talk and gave an assuring smile before she spoke. “Yes, Ma’am.”, she would answer. She was in mindset ready for anything that could pop up at any moments notice. She took a look at everyone that was there, seeing what other reactions may prop up.
Kestra would take note of how well their body language precedes them under the precursor of the mission. Her objectives would be to help keep the crewmembers from being under distressed and to keep her senses on high alert. She knew that it would be most need in this mission, as for any other mission that comes along.
Kestra sat back and continued to listen for any other orders and/or information that they may need to know.

Post by Sergant Thomas Kinsely on Nov 25, 2006 18:04:15 GMT -5
Thomas saw the time it was and figured that was about high time that the Marines have an inspection before any drills took place. He was sure that Lt Conner has a drill for them soon and wanted the Marines to be ready at any given moment, but does not yet know her plans for a drill as of yet.
He could tell that Sgt. Kol’rah has some minor details to attend to before a drill starts, as with that, temporarily leaving him in charge for now until either Sgt Kol’rah or Lt Conner comes back. Thomas closed his locker and turned to look at the Marines.
“Attention! Inspection time, Ladies. I do not have all day to baby sit your butts!”, he would say, barking out orders.
Each Marine quickly scrambled to their lockers, standing at attention as Thomas started inspection. He checked through each locker, noticing how some improved, while others still need to improve. Once he completed the inspection, he would have the Marines run several laps, sit-ups; push ups, and pulls ups to keep them busy for a while.
