Thomas watched as Jaylas listened to him.He noticed again the changes in her antennae.This was something he would have to learn to read.It would give him insight to how or what she was thinking.

He shrugged that thought off as he listened to her response."I agree,I think the crew is getting anxious to get underway and the testing grounds are a good place to see how well they come together."

He stopped and sipped his coffee,"Lets make sure all the department heads have their stations ready for action then I will inform the crew of our orders."

Thomas stood,"I am going back to the Bridge and making sure things are going smoothly,Jaylas you are doing an excellent job just as I knew you would.Do you have any questions or concerns?'.

Thomas waited to see if she did.

"I concur sir they need to get underway and to be honest so do I. The testing grounds will prove to be perfect. Are we headed to the grounds on Tolnac or in the Gamma Hromi area?"

"I look forward to seeing everyone in action."

She stood with him.

Kelly laughed as Akoval made it apparent that he did not like warm weather.

"Well Akoval I hope we are not sent to a jungle planet.As far as your flight time I believe you no need to read that I would prefer hearing it from you."

Standing up from the bulkhead,"Now my friend all we need to do is make sure everything is ready to go and in top shape.That and lots of simulation flights that is."

Kelly laughed at the thought of all they had to do in truth.

Akoval smiled broadly his antenna raising and lowering at the thought of the flight time and additional technical resources on hand' "not to worry Kelly I'll just make sure to dress light and bring lots of chilled or ice water and as long as I'm not down there to long I should survive nicely. Iwould be interested however to review the weapons compliments and engine capacity of the new fighters. What Class are these again?" walking down the arm of one of the fighters running a hand over its smooth metallic shell.

"Gamma Hromi Jaylas,and to be honest I am like you I am anxious to get my feet wet so to speak and yes it will be good for the crew as well."

Thomas picked up his coffee and smiled,"One thing about our new positions Jaylas,we have to make ourselves available at all times.Welcome to the world of being an Executive Officer" he chuckled.

He walked with her to back onto the Bridge."Have you had the chance to check out the Security Station yet?"

"Please call me Amy or Doctor Kasia we will be working hard together.I agree this is one of the best and most modern Sickbay's I have seen on a ship."

She thought for a moment,"You make a great point however I managed to get all the medical information on Romulans and Andorians since both are kinda rare on a Federation ship."

She gestured toward her Data PADDs,"Here I am writing up a list of supplies plasma and such on this PADD,If you don't mind look it over see if you need to add anything and take this to the Colonel."

"We are really going to have to be a team here Kasia and I hope we can become friends as well."Amy smiled and stood hands behind her back.

Kasia nodded and took the padd looking it over and making notes in her head on what she would need. She wouldn't know for sure untill after she finished the inventory.

"Of course Doctor...I mean Amy." Old habbits were hard to break after all. "I hope that as well, I should proably get back to work on this inventory, i dont expect we will have many people coming in today unless they strain something while moving." She says with a smile.

A couple hours later, after the dinner had ended, Melvin couldn't sleep. So he stayed up and thought about the things in his head, which were mostly about women. Not women in general, just a couple of women he knew from his home planet of Betazed. He thought of one and how she found happiness with her bondmate and he was happy with her. He heard of the other one, how she was bonded, then she and her bondmate decided to go their separate ways.
He shook his head, disappointed in himself, thinking that one of the two women he was in love with then realized it was the other he had feelings for. He wants to tell her of his feelings but he fears that she would reject him and that would ruin what friendship they do have.
A beeping sound cuts into his thoughts and he looks over to see a new message icon on the screen of his console. He walks over and reads about the transfer to another ship. He frowns and mutters, "Just when i was getting used to the Vindicator.."
Not having much time to unpack when he first arrived on the vindicator, he just turns, grabs his belongings, exits and heads for the nearest TR
An hour later, after getting his assigned quarters, he makes his way to the bridge, going back to his earlier thoughts. He decides to focus entirely on his duties and not worry about his personal life. He enters the bridge and heads straight for the Tactical console. He keys in his security code, watching the console come to life after accepting his code. He'd tap a couple keys on his console, checking the weapons inventory, hoping to see the new Tri-Quantum torpedos that he's heard mention around

Aztec is glad he hasn't unpacked yet. He gather his gear and looks around one last time before he gets set to transfer to his new ship. "Well I guess the long range sensors will have to wait."

"No sir I have not had a chance to check out my security console or my office yet. Gamma Hromi is an excellent choice for ship exercises. The USS Hawk went there 2 years ago, and it was quite comprehensive. Including a boarding party. I assume you will go for the entire exercise." Her antennae switched from leaning forward to a slight lashing then leaned forward again."

She walked back with him. And noticed that he laughed a lot as many humans do. She pondered this for a brief moment and then went about her business.

"Sir if it is alright with you I would like to go to my security station. Then prepare it to be linked easily to the xo chair as needed while I'm on duty."

He nodded to give her the go ahead and she went to her station. She entered her access code and verified it when it was displayed. After finishing the set up and working on the transfer of Vindi security duty list for the upcoming month. She then compared the boarding records with the crew members and noted there were still some how needed to report.

Thomas watched quietly as those on the Bridge worked at their stations getting familiar with them.He said nothing not wanting to break their concentration.

He walked back over to the Command chair and pulled up a schematic of the ship.Thomas carefully looked it over checking every little detail.

He may be the CO he thought to himself but that did not mean he did not have work to do as well.In fact lots and lots of work.

Amy smiled warmly as she listened to Kasia.She was very dedicated to her job and that meant she could count on her.

She put her hand on her hip and cocked her head,"Hey just because I am the CMO does not give me the right to get out of inventory.How can I help and how far have you gotten so far?''

Kol"Rah nodded as he listened to Corporal Kinsley."I hope you are correct Corporal.A Klingon qaH would already be drilling us hard by now."

He stopped his statement and reminded himself things were different with each Marine Commanding Officer in the Federation.The main reason was there were so many different Races in it.

"I am ready for training at least,my hearts are pounding for it.I hope he is not buried in paper work."Kol'Rah could barely hold his frustration.

He had still yet to prove himself to his family or his peers.He had mock battled to be sure and trained but that seemed like a lifetime ago.

Containing his sullenness at being idle he went out to the marine deck and began to spar with other marines who were doing so already.

Kasia smiled a little. "Well I had just begun with main sickbay and medical storage areas under the bio beds. Everything so far seems to be working perfectly, If you wanted you could always go to the science bays and make sure everything was there, and we could meet up in the surgical bays. I know some doctors prefer certain instruments in surgical bays." She says going over the list that she had made in her head. She was pleasently surprised at Amy's willingness to take on duties that were normally assgined to the AMO or the Head Nurse.

She finally finished the individual areas that comprised her department. After making sure everything was working as it should she looked at the time. And saw it 1900 hours. It was time to eat and relax.

She went to her quarters then went to the replicator she was famished. She ordered Oskoid salad, aves casserole, rixxen bread and butter with a cup of tea. Getting her food she stand down to eat. Wondering how many others were only getting to their dinners like her.

After she finished her dinner she placed the tray with the plates in the reclaimer. Looking around she decided to finish personalizing her quarters. She got the holo images of her family placing them on table next to couch.

Then she took out the three printed books she had. Betazoid history, romance, and poetry. Those three books cost her almost a years pay as as a MCapt. Including the extra combat pay she got. But it was well worth it. Someday if the gods were kind she would find her imzadi and bond. These books would become theirs someday.

She decided to go to Five forward and see if anyone was there. She changed into a Betazoid dress that was red with silver trim. She let her hair hang loose. Putting on her red shoes she left her quarters.
