"I am surprised he's not here. I was hoping to get know the Oira Saehne-a (bridge officers)."
"Maenek, why do you want us to report for a physical? High command would have sent those to you. I know I had to have one before coming here. It was to make sure I was healthy and not carrying anything to the Federation crew."
"I suppose you were told we are not fond of Maenek-a, and avoid going. I have considered this, and in the interest of the Alliance I will report most likely in a day or two."

S. Gale looks up from her plate of mollusks. Pauses to swallow before answering. "Actually, I wasn't told about the Rihannsu dislike for doctors." she looks at the Erie'Arrain quizzically. then she takes a sip of water. "The reason behind the physical is a redundancy check. Mainly to see if "everything" matches up; and to find out why if it doesn't. Thank you Erie'Arrain, I apprieciate your example."

He looked between the two, giving only a split second smirk. There is a lot for a Federation officer to understand about the ways of Romulans. Vice versa with understanding why Federation acted the way that they do. It was strange of him to report to a Maenek for a physical, but he was willing to comply.
“I could come by tomorrow before my shift begins.”, he would reply to Cunningham.
Vrih looked over at Veralen, giving her a small smirk. Remembering how some Oira’saehnea were on the previous ships he have served on. He could not forget how some would mostly acknowledge him only on the bridge. A very few instances that they would ever talk to him on the outside of the bridge. There were others that did get to know the Romulan behind his station.
“There are some Oira’saehneas that prefer company alone or with other Oira’saehneas. As for the Gonaiih here, I can not speak for him.”, he would reply to Veralen.

"Agreed, Virh. But I have always found it useful to know ones fellow officers. Allows for a smoother flow during times of stress or a battle for instance."
She finished her drink and looked at out of the VP, at the familiar stars of the space know as RSE.
"I wonder if we will be here or in Federation space. One can not help but consider that. What do you think Maenek?"

"'Ours is not to reason "why"; ours is but to do or die.'" She smirks a bit a the irony. "Truthfully, I couldn't concieve to know. I would hope that we would take on a bit more crew before we go anywhere. I don't have any staff, which could put a severe damper on things should I require a nurse of a med-tech. But that is the will of the Command, yai?"

He watched them both, but only silently and shortly enough to where as if he was almost was not there nor was even notice that he was. His attention was more so on Veralen, not just because she was Romulan, but also because he found her quite intriguing listening to.
“It is always helpful to know one’s fellow crewmembers. To know where one stand and to understand why.”, he would reply to Veralen.
He glanced over at the stars just almost after she mentioned about rather if they were in Federation or Romulan space. Only hoped that they were in Romulan space. Being in familiar territory has always made him feel less uneasy.
“The Romulan Empire always makes sure that there are plenty of crewmembers on board on their ships before heading out on a mission.”, he replied to Cunningham.

S.Gale laughed "I know that Chief, I was being facicious." she grinned widely and said, " no one would send out a ship only partly manned." she finished her molluska and then bit into her dessert, the oslo twist, "Wow! This is amazing! A wonderful after!"

T'meryl finished her food, and put up her PADD. She was close enough to hear most of the Doctor's story of her family, and briefly closed her eyes in acknowledgment of her loss. T'meryl knew of losing someone close, but not on the scale of the Doctor's. She admired the Doctor's good spirit in the matter.
She left the Lhil and went to her quarters. She knew she had to get her check up and it was logical to do it as soon as possible, to get it out of the way.

"If you will excuse me Vrih, and Maenek, I need to return to my quarters. It was a most enjoyable meal."
She nodded at Vrih, then walked out to her quarters.

Vrih looks over at Veralen and gave her a nod. "Jolan'Tru (Good day/night), Veralen.", he would say to her.
He watches her and a few others exiting the lounge, seeing that the lounge was getting pretty empty. He could tell that it was getting pretty late and that it was time for him to head to his quarters as well.
He looks over at Maenek as he stood up. "I will see you tomorrow morning for my phyiscal, Maenek (Doctor).", he would say to her, then would turn and exit the lounge to his quarters.

She walked into the D-Class marveling at its size, construction, and the simple beauty of the ship. She was greeted by an Uhlan (a 5th year cadet in this case assigned to Riov Cretak who will act as his mentor for the next yr). He saluted and then bowed.
Riov Radiak, if you will follow me I will show to the Lhil (lounge) where dinner will be served. Riov Cretak will be there shortly.
"Excellent Uhlan, is the Riov your mentor? If he is, you could not want for a better mentor."
"le Rekkhai, he is."
She followed him to the Lhil, then entered. She could see the crews of both ships begin to assemble. She took the glass of rhennish (a purplish dry wine, more intoxicating then ale) that was her favorite. Took a sip and nodded.
"Very good rhennish, hann'yyo"
She walked over to the VP and looked at the stars in the direction of ch'Rihan.

Post by Errien'Arrain Ael Hheinia on Feb 17, 2007 0:11:18 GMT -5
Ael walked onto the D'hivael, giving a smirk when her father, Senator Fveirrolh Hheinia, talked to her about the different ships he served on, especially a D Class ship, before returning to Romulas to contend with is duties as a Romulan Senator. She took it slowly as she walked down the corridor, basking in the glory of one of Romulas greatest class ships.
Ael found the lounge and entered, taking a glass of Romulan Ale, something she always favored. She took a sip from her glass, looking around the lounge. Noticing her Riov looking out of the windows at the stars and in the direction of their homeworld. She would walk over to her, balls up her fist and places it on her chest, giving a slight bow of her head at Eviess.
"Jolun'Tru, Riov.", she would say to her. "Being on one of our own ships brings out a lot of pride out of us. I can not forget my first assignment on RSE Ascension. My father couldn't be even prouder for me since I graduated from the Romulan War Colledge."

She walked into the Lhil and looked around seeing a lot of new faces. Scanning the room she saw the Riov of the Federation ship New York. It's CO was Riov Radaik, and a lot of her crew was Rihannsu.
The Riov and an officer, she assumed to be one from the New York, were engaged in conversation. She took a glass of rylhrhh (a sweet wine, pale pink in color, less intoxicating than ale). Taking a sip she savored the flavor.

He would walk into the Lhil, slowly looking around to see who have showed up so far. Noticed a few already have entered before him. He took a glass of Kali-fal and slowly took a sip from it. Taking a few steps forward, he would be standing right next to Veralen.
"Jolan'Tru, Veralen. I see that I am not the only one that could not sleep.", he would say with a small smirk. "We could go over there and introduce ourselves, but then again, it would have been rude to interrupt someone's conversation."
