Will walked to the Transporter.He paused for a second and then nodded to the Chief.
He found himself on the Newton.It was much smaller than the Frontier he thought to himself.The Newton was going to meet up with the Aryes and from there the New York in the RNZ.
He followed a Steward to his room.It was small but comfortable.He wondered what Tirina thought about all this and how she would be greeted as well.
He noticed that someone had a crib already set up in the room.His son sound asleep,he gently tucked him in.Smiling he turned to see the room had a view of space at least.
He walked over and stared at the stars millions of questions and thoughts swirling in his head.

As he and Tirina boarded the New York Will and Tirina was met by a Romulan Officer.Will smiled when he noticed it was a marine uniform.The 1st LT. told them his name was Yhea Hrienteh.
He was very polite and seemed pleased to have them on board.He smiled at Will,not the usual pleasant smile he came to expect when he entered other ships.
This smile was warm and friendly as if he knew Will and considered him a friend.
There was much going on the New York so he and Tirina decided to stay in their quarters.They spent much of the evening talking,cuddling,and getting back into the married routine.
They went to bed and like most spouses who are separated,they bonded both physically and mentally becoming one for a while.He smiled after ward and they talked.He caressed her hair until she feel asleep.
He heard his son cry and got up and grabbed a bottle.Picking him up he rocked him singing a little and loving him.He looked to his wife she was so peaceful in sleep.
Again he felt the feeling of a love so strong he was sure it was not felt this way by most.it was like all his emotions they tended to take a life of their own and he felt as if he would drown in them at times.
He looked down to see Will Jr fast asleep.He put him back in his crib and walked over to his VP and looked at the stars.It was strange but he almost felt they were familiar to him.He knew this was impossible but the feeling did not diminish.
He decided to take a shower.As he headed for it he felt a slight change in the ship.he stopped and went back to the VP.
He saw the ship had dropped out of warp and had began an orbit around a beautiful planet.It was full of greens and blues.Mountains and even volcanoes.
He smiled and put his hand on the VP,"I do believe I am home," he told himself.He could not take his eyes of such a lovely scene.the planet Romulus he was sure was a planet of great natural contrasts.
He wanted to wake Tirina but decided to let her sleep.He walked over to the ships Computer.
"Computer please send this message to captain Radiak.If she is asleep please leave it as a message."
"Captain this is Will Hunter I am looking out my VP at the most beautiful planet I have ever seen.Thank you so very much for bringing me here."
He had been studying the language and thought he would try it."My caevra ((heart)) feels like it is being called here.It as if the planet itself was talking to me.Will out."
He kept looking a tear coming down his left cheek.

The computer alarm woke her at precisely 0500 hours Rihannsu time. She sat on her bed for a moment smiling as she remembered they were once again in orbit around ch'Rihan. She stood up and went to the view port in her quarters. She looked at ch'Rihan something she never grew tired of seeing.  Home no other ch' (planet) spoke to her like this one. She turned and took her shower, then put on her uniform. Leaving the bath area she directly to the replicator ordering osol twist (a tart confection sometimes eaten at breakfast) and coffee. She sat at the table enjoying her breakfast when her computer alerted her to an incoming message. Eviess asked who the message was from and hearing it was Will Hunter she smiled. It was early for one who was on leave to be up. But then was the start of a journey to find his roots. She could not imagine the excitement of such a journey but knew for him the answers he needed and longed for would be found here. Computer play message. She smiled as she heard him speak the very beginnings of Rihannsu. She sent the following message in return not wanting to wake his bond mate or child. Good morning Will, I trust you slept well. Although sleep might have eluded you for part or most of the night. We will depart the New York arriving in the capital city at 0800 Rihannsu time. I have made reservations for breakfast at one of the restaurants known for its variety of breakfast options, it is served in a buffet fashion. I have programed on your padd a map showing various areas of the city. We will have 6 hours to the time of the transportation I've arranged. Look it over, we will visit any area that you two would like to see. I have also included for your convenience a map of ch'Rihan (found on another page) If you remember the city of your host family is Dorvek. I find it helpful when traveling to know where my destination is. I received a message from your host family they eagerly look forward to your arrival and are completing the last of the preparations. They told me they have a room for your son's nursery and have had wonderful time in fixing it. I have several things to finish before we leave. I will be in the transporter room waiting for you. |

Will heard the light chirp that let him know he had a message.he walked over to the computer and listened.A sense of relief washed over him as he heard Captain Radiak.
She sounded happy in her message as if this trip was a part of her as well.He walked over and Picked up his PADD she had programmed for him.A smile came over his face as he looked at the map of Romulus.
The way they had placed their cities and towns but kept the planets natural balance was amazing.Earth could learn something from this he thought.
As he looked he found the city of Dorvek.It was near the equator and on the coast.He tapped on his PADD to zoom in and give him a much better view of the city.
Just as she had said Captain Radiak had placed several points of interest on it.There were museums,parks,and much more.He looked at the PADD his mind turning.
He was glad the family was so open and willing to take his entire family in but he wondered if they felt it was a burden in truth.Perhaps just a favor for the Captain or an obligation to her or both.
He sat the PADD down and decided to take that shower.His body relaxed as he let the hot water pour down on him.Will began to think back to his child hood or lack of it was a better term.
He had felt like a lab rat his adoptive mother and father seemed more interested in writing a book on Romulan physiology than they did on loving their son.
A wave of anger burst from him and he slammed his fist into the shower wall with a loud thud.Turning it off quickly he wrapped a towel around him and checked to make sure he had not wakened his wife or son.
Fortunately they both did not hear him and his out burst.Walking over he gently kissed Tirina on the cheek so she would not wake up.He moved to the crib and looked at Will Junior.
Placing his hand gently in the crib he marveled at just how small his hands and fingers were.Thinking to himself,thats why you are here in part to control these wild emotions you have.
And thus came into his mind his worst fear.Those emotions could somehow end up hurting his son and or his wife.Sitting on the edge of his bed he knew he had made the correct decision coming here.
This place was at least half of who he was and who he would become.He had so many questions to ask.That and so many nightmares to forget.

He was surprised when Tirina came up behind him and gave him a morning kiss."Sorry hun my mind was elsewhere I guess.Captain Radiak left us a message to meet her in the transporter room."
They both got their things and he picked up Will Jr.They walked through the corridors of the New York.They were both surprised at the number of Romulans that served on her.
Will did know know how to react at first.Every Romulan they met greeted him as if they had knew him for a long time.Finally he began to get used to it and greeted them back.
He did notice some of them gave Tirina a puzzled look however.He decided he would ask Captain Radiak about that.They finally made it to the Transporter room.
Will was still holding his son when Captain Radiak entered.He decided to try what little he could find on Romulan customs.Bowing slightly,"Jolan'tru Cap...Err Leih Radiak I trust you are well today?"
He hoped he did it correctly then his son started to cry softly.He looked down at him and smiled.Using his finger to let Will Jr latch on he noticed he quited down like he usually did.
