Chief Medical Officer's Log:
My first trip aboard the USS Aryes proved to be interesting, oddly enough I was not surprised to think so. Following a routine physical of the Captain to monitor her pregnancy (This would be my first physical, she had already been pregnant for 5 months), the ship seemed to encounter an odd disturbance and was somehow propelled through time. Counselor Marie informed me that the jump had taken us two months into the future much to my dismay. My initial suspicion believed that some sort of environmental stimuli triggered the ship to be launched at incredible warp speeds that seemed to pass the ship supposedly through time. This suspicion was due to the unstable concept of time when traveling at trans warp speeds, but I was later proved wrong.
Once the ship had settled and we discovered that we had passed through time, I began to receive several members of the crew complaining about mild headaches and other sore spots along their bodies. I originally dismissed it as common ailments and distributed 20 ccs of Hydrocortilene, a mild painkiller, to those who complained of headache and other osteo ailments. I supplied 20 ccs of Hydroxazine and 20 ccs of Triozine for those who complained of dizziness and nausea respectfully. My concern seemed to escalate once the ship's counselor Clara Marie complained of the exact same symptoms and following my administering of the medicine seemed to pass out. Prior to this I received a similar complaint from the Chief of Engineering Merrick Trinian who seemed to be suffering similar conditions. My fears seemed to escalate and I immediately communicated science officers to see if any sort of radiation was being emitted or had been emitted from the time jump. I was worried when he said no, had radiation been emitted I could treat it but I didn't know what was going on.
Meanwhile the counselor had risen from her momentary state of unconsciousness and had horrible feelings about the captain and her unborn child. I tried to convince her that everything was ok, but failed and became concerned over the captains well being and how a two month jump into the future would affect her child. I was unable to contact anyone because we then went red alert, which I learned was in response to enemy ships approaching and eventually attacking. Following the fire fight between the ships we were able to get the Captain down to sickbay where he claimed to be in labor. We worked to have her set up on a clam shell biobed. In the next few moments I was confused the captain addressed an individual known as "Q" and soon an odd being appeared claiming they could fix this chaos and so they did. . . it seemed he was the source of the disturbance. Oddly the ship was returned back to its own time and the Captain was no longer in labor. I thank fate for stopping that, I didn't feel that we were able to provide the Captain so suddenly for a proper Bajoran birth which was my plan. (Personal Note: make sure Captain Tirina reports back efficiently with all medical conditions so I can anticipate when she will pass into labor, though if this time warp proved accurate I may not have to deal so soon with it). Once returned to our own time the chaos ended in sick bay and I was free to finally breath again.
I found the day promising, and feel that my stay on the Aryes will be fruitful. I only hope that the other officers will come to trust me and think of me as a long time member of the crew.
