Operation's officer's log.....
Yesterday was my first watch as the Aryes' permanant operations officer. After Exhausting the possibility of using a lighting beacon to Signal the alien ship, we managed to integrate Captain Inid's Translation matrix into our ship's communications array. In doing so, we successfully established two way communications with the alien ship. They claim the wormhole and the surrounding area to be part of their territory that they had acquired during trade negociations a milenia ago.

Computer, begin recording OPS Duty log, stardate 63199.9.....
We lost the captain. Along with 29 other crew members to this unknown hostile ship. I have no idea what is going on over there. I can detect Nadeon Weapons' fire, but beyond that I can't scan beyond the hull. We sent a military and security away team to retrieve them, but we have since lost all contact, including the transporter lock. I can't wait to blow these creeps out of the stars. Um, Computer deleete last sentence and eng lod

Operations Duty Log....
We're having a bit of down-time at Deep Space nine. I talked the Chief Engineer out of buying some junk that the ferengi bartender tried to sell him. It was actually quite relaxing, and entertaining. We should be getting underway quite soon.

The Aryes is in orbit above Ocampa, as I am part of the Away Team. The energy readings were emanating from a cave, as we investigated Verteron levels increased leaving our comm badges, and tricorders useless. We came upon an underground settlement about 850 meters underground with only the children about. All the adults have succumbed to radiation poisoning. One child by the name of Mai had told me about strange aliens, gray in complexion, taking many of them. Although confused by her description, I ascertain of some plot to tap this energy source for their needs.

Our detour in Cardassia has gotten worse. Thanks to Q, we find ourselves under attack by Cardassian Cruisers. Also the Captain seems to be going into Labor.
As we try to figure out how to get back to our time, and protecting our behinds from phaser fire, things were looking grim. The Q reappeared, and we found ourselves back in our time, not far from Starbase 234, but not undamaged.

It feels good to kick back with the boys. We're at starbase 234, and I took the security team to a new Orion joint that opened on the mezzanine. Although I lost a a bet on a wrestling match between two Orion women, I believe the prospects of meeting one of them, is good.

Thanks to a Pass that Primeus obtain, I got a chance to meet Yvra. I may have lost some money, but she was worth it. We returned to the Aryes where I was checking the sstatus of repairs. The Starbase Engineers were putting in a new warp chamber when they irrevertingly ruptured one of the Warp coolant conduits. I quickly isolated the area, and got the trapped engineers out, as now our crew must tidy up this mess they made.

I finished up in Engineering, and have returned to the Bridge. The Captain is wasting no time though, we're getting underway, despite the fact she recently gave birth.
From what I heard, we're heading to the outter edge of Alpha Quadrant. This ought to prove interesting indeed.

We made our way to the distress call. The ship was identified as the SS Flagstaff, some 2 weeks out of the the New Dallas Colony. Puzzling that ir was suppose to be heading for Argolis 4, some 400 Light years in the Opposite direction. With traces of Quadresium in the area,as well as a Breen cruiser omisously staying just out of weapons range, Captain Tirina sent an away team to aid the injured, repair the ship if possible, and find out what happened.

William Anderson II Reporting
After droping of the prisoner at the starbase our ship was order to meet up with the USS Washington to aid in supplises and aid to a medical facility. While informing the XO of a communication from the medical facility requesting aid I also informed her that I had a fant tranmission from a small colony in the northern hemisphere of the planet's surface asking for aid due to raising waters. After exiting from warp I sent the cordinance to the MCO and informed the CENG of a broken damn that was causing the raising water. I also informed the XO I had come across a high em level on the surface of the planet that I didn't notice untill now. The level isn't a threat at the moment, but it is to early to tell what the level will do in a couple of hours.

Post by Captain Shran on Aug 22, 2007 14:52:37 GMT -5
Shran sipped his Raktajino as he typed up his first Log report as an officer of the USS Aryes.
"-Computer begin recording.
Operation’s Log, Stardate: 64640.12
I have come aboard the USS Aryes after so many months away from my beloved Starfleet. I was very happy to take over the Operations Station on the bridge. It is the place I now feel most at home at. I will strive to serve Captain Sowren and this crew to the best of my ability. I have many past mistakes to make penance for and I plan to do so.
The Captain seems a stoic woman. A Bajoran she speaks rarely and instead allows Lieutenant Commander T’Lar to direct the day to day workings of the ship. I have often found that this is a wise leadership tactic, for when she does speak it will mean that the crew will listen all the more closely.
The rest of the crew is an interesting bunch. They seem very familiar with each other and show this familiarity sometimes at inappropriate times. I have often wondered at humans’ ability to make jokes at improper moments, and the informality of this crew certainly lends itself to this nature. Though their attitudes are often that of jest and cavalier, I can sense that they are capable and skilled at their jobs. I look forward to getting to know this crew and working with them.
-Computer, end recording."
Shran took another sip of his drink as he finished his log.
