This was my first day on board the USS Aryes and we had what appeared to be a training exercise. There was an emergency call on another planet after a disaster. Of course we responded. Upon boots being on the ground we could tell the devastation was severe. I had an emergency medical facility erected until it was discovered that there was a functional hospital nearby which at that time we moved to the hospital. Then a civilian which we later discovered to be a cardassian knocked one of the Ayres' security forces down and taking a hold of a phaser rifle. The security forces unable to effectively respond to the situation I took it upon myself to disarm the situation. Where I rushed the cardassian from behind and tackled them before injecting a sedative to put them to sleep.
Later on after that incident it was discovered that there was traces of radiation and I started to administer medication to counteract the potential effects of the radiation even though it was determined that the there was only trace amounts, regardless it's an effective precaution just in case something would would happen and the radiation levels where to rise.
We also received plenty of assistance from various vessels in starfleet. All and all, the mission seemed to be a great success, and acting commanding officer Shran. Did a fantastic job, I will follow that man into the underbelly of hell!

Today marks a new dawning, as new chapters open in the lives of others, Shran has been oppointed our new commanding officer and T'Lar has been promoted to full commander! I am very excited for them both and I hope they do great things with their new rank and most importantly... Not let it goto thier heads as this will make it hard for people to talk to follow them.
A role in a leadership postition is a very difficult one, you must be strong enough to make difficult positions and wise enough to make the right choice and humble enough to take critism in all it's forms. I feel that to what I've seen Captain Shran has these qualities and he also seems to take medicine very seriously which will make my job just that much easier it's already hard enough; there are 885 people on the crew manifest and I am responcible for the medical wellbeing of all of them. Kind of mind boggling when you think about it so I try not you; instead I try to take each day as it comes, some days my choices are relitively easy other days I have to make a choice that will effect someones life forever I suppose that is why all doctors commit to the hippocratic oath to do no harm.
I will actually recite the hippocratic oath for anyone who cares to hear the value of this oath... It's also posted on my office wall to remind me of the things that I must do...
"I swear by Apollo Physician and Asclepius and Hygeia and Panaceia and all the gods and goddesses, making them my witnesses, that I will fulfill according to my ability and judgment this oath and this covenant: To hold him who has taught me this art as equal to my parents and to live my life in partnership with him, and if he is in need of money to give him a share of mine, and to regard his offspring as equal to my brothers in male lineage and to teach them this art - if they desire to learn it - without fee and covenant; to give a share of precepts and oral instruction and all the other learning to my sons and to the sons of him who has instructed me and to pupils who have signed the covenant and have taken an oath according to the medical law, but no one else.
I will apply dietetic measures for the benefit of the sick according to my ability and judgment; I will keep them from harm and injustice.
I will neither give a deadly drug to anybody who asked for it, nor will I make a suggestion to this effect. Similarly I will not give to a woman an abortive remedy. In purity and holiness I will guard my life and my art.
I will not use the knife, not even on sufferers from stone, but will withdraw in favor of such men as are engaged in this work.
Whatever houses I may visit, I will come for the benefit of the sick, remaining free of all intentional injustice, of all mischief and in particular of sexual relations with both female and male persons, be they free or slaves.
What I may see or hear in the course of the treatment or even outside of the treatment in regard to the life of men, which on no account one must spread abroad, I will keep to myself, holding such things shameful to be spoken about.
If I fulfill this oath and do not violate it, may it be granted to me to enjoy life and art, being honored with fame among all men for all time to come; if I transgress it and swear falsely, may the opposite of all this be my lot."

We stopped by a planet that was sending out dated federation signals. Upon getting there it appeared that Admiral Kirk left more out inside his logs then previously known and violated the primary directive so much infact that the leader of their planet... His title is Kirk, they asked that Captian Shran goes down to the planet for negotions however I feel it's a trap of some sort, however it's the bridge officers duty to make sure that the captian has enough protection how ever I think it is best to send a hologram down there.
Enough about the mission, the treatment provided to Marine Captian Inid Kiara appears to be a great success! She was released from sickbay last night and was able to fulfill her duties without incident. I'm truely very excited for her.
I was also able to get all of the medkits onboard fully stocked and updated it was a tedious task but HAD to be done, I also took care of the biofilters for the transporters and made sure that the enviomental filters where fully fuctional.
Thats really all I have.

The ship is in quite a pickle right now. Our worst fears where correct, the 'Kirk' of the planet trapped Captian Shran and the awayteam inside their building and have a force field around it... We cant even transport them out. There was phaser fire within the building to place people on stun but I have no reports of whom and no way to get in there to provide aid.
The ship is also running solely on emergency power. The Kirk of the planet attacked the ship with some sort of planetary tractor beam then ran an electrical charge to destroy pretty much all of our electronic equipment. So I have nanites that will attack their power stations and not effect Darryl Ironmind but now delivery system... Even if we did have a delivery system we dont have the power to bring the transporters online.
This mission thus far has become very difficult indeed. I should go back to sickbay and see if I can get power back to sickbay as soon as possible I have a feeling that pulse that overloaded our systems may have damaged some consoles and thus a few crew members.

The rescue operation for the captured away team was a great success! However after the power surge that the ship recieved... I had a few patiants" looks at the report "2 surgical, 8 critical, and 25 minor... The minor injuries have already been treated and they have returned to duty, the other 10 are still in sickbay either recieving treatment, or recovering from their surgury in the ICU. After the nanites knocked out the power for the captial building on the planet I went with the marines on the rescue mission... The momant we entered the building we came in contact with heavy resistance but there was no time to waste so I asked the marines to toss a photon grenade on stun and we kept moving... Once we found the Kirk and the CO, there was 4 enemy inside the room... 5 if you include the Kirk but he was no real threat we could tell that he was scared... We stunned the 4 just before the Ayres got transporters up and beamed the original away team to the ship... Luckily I was there for I fear that the Marines would have... Terminated the Kirk, but I told them not to. It didn't seem like killing him or anyone for that matter to be within the best interest of the federation. We restrained him, beyond my understanding the marines knocked him out, perhaps I need to discuss with the marines humility and the scope of force... Never did I once strike anyone, that goes for the Kirk as well although I wanted to, I never did. Infact I even took the time to provide as much medical care for them as I could" heres screaming in the backround coming from the ICU "well it appears a patient has woken up.
Computer end recording..."
We got up and went back to the ICU to check on all the noise from the ICU and his patients.

stepped into his office still bothered by not figuring an issue out yet...
"computer, begin recording.... Chief Medical Officers Log: Dr. Robert Devoroh, MD Stardate: 65126.18
There was an apparent depressurization onboard the Aryes, at least I think it was depressurization, I'm really not sure I'm not an engineer. However the engineers while attempting to seal the leak took off their helmets and one them... Just" he paused for a short period of time "just, feel unconscience. For no apparent rhyme or reason. They where fine until they removed the helmets. At first I thought it was just low oxygen content in the blood stream but my test results came out negitive so I then did a brain scan... Also came back clear. All my tests are saying that this man should be up, moving around and possibly doing backflips... But, he's not.
So lets recap this... Take off helmet, collapse. Definently something airborne but how would it come from space? Well in anysense, since it it probable airborne I must follow protocal, I will have to advise the captian in lou of this that all crew members to wear some sort of containment suit, and this person has to be transferred to medical isolation with a containment field.... Whatever it is, I already know it's airborne and I already know whatever it could be is still there otherwise.... He'd be awake.
I must figure out what it is, why this person to be the... Host, then finally, how do I get rid of it? Now that I think of it I might ask for a couple marines to stand guard of sickbay... Just incase this... Sickness gets out of hand, and at all costs.... We must NOT dock with Jupiter Station, the entire ship should be quarentined for everyones safety... I realize thats a desperate act but it's a lot better then taking the chance of spreading it and creating a possible epidemic.... It's on the ship, better to keep in on the ship...
Computer... End recording"
No rest for the weary, he immediently got up and got back to work on trying to figure everything out.

"Computer.... Begin recording. Chief Medical Officers Log; Dr. Robert Devoroh Stardate: Supplimental
It's become apparent that whatever it was that had Crewman Fillmore was infact creature of sorts that as yet to be encountered by starfleet... Until now obviously. It had taken over Fillmores body then when he arrived to sickbay before I got the readings it jumpped into my own.
I didn't remember anything once it had fully taken control.
In lue of this I decided I had to know what it did inside my body while my subconscience was unconscience... So I read the logs of where my command codes where used... Apparently it deactivated the transporters, then went to enviromental to pump Malonex through the ventilation system... Meanwhile the late Commander Madison, the former Chief Engineer was also effect by another creature and he started the warpcore overload sequence though unable to complete it because the Malonex killed the creature inside of him but killed Madison along with him.
Whatever it is we're dealing with is obviously and intelligent being...
In a few momants here I'm going to be performing the autopsy of Commander Madisons corpse, in efferts to learn about our new 'unwelcomed guest'... When it died it left trace elements of its being there and I HAVE to find out why malonex effected it so much.
Also, since when the creature is in someones body the persons they are in a sleeplike state, I'm going to be placing cortical stimulators on every member of the crew, it will be set to alert me if anyones brainwaves goes to Theta or Delta waves.... Those are the wave lengths that indicate sleep... If that happens I will of course immediantly alert security and the CO...
Computer... End recording"
He got up and went back up to the meeting room with a security escort detail... As per the captians request.

I paid Cylde a visit today, who appears to be doing fairly well concidering his predicument. He reports to me that he's being well treated, well fed, and has been given opportunities for exercise as well as access to medical care. Which fulfils my concerns... When this mess of over I want my MCO to be in top health.
It appears that 3 andorians took director... Whatever his name is off the ship and that there is a wounded andorian girl onboard. Which I will be giving her a medical eval. shortly... Nothing else follows...

Clyde was recently in a firefight, as per his usual but it looks like his... Talet may be getting rusty. He was injured with a disrupter blast to his right upper torso. He is currently stabilized, however in a drug induced coma while he waits for surgury in an attempt to repair the damage. Thus far, on my initial report the damage is significant, I can only hope that I can repair it. In other news.... Aiden McKenzie the new cadet in tactical, will also be getting operated on due to a injury or illness prior to starfleet, which he has agreed to have it surgically repaired, unlike Clyde, his is concidered a routine surgury as is far easier... And quicker... I will update as soon as I can.

Recently due to my pressing on the subject Cadet Aiden McKenzie has been placed in sickbay as my AMO; this position is only temperary and due to his lack of training in the medical field he will be restricted to patient assessment and running files, all other equipment has been places in a locker with a code known only to myself and the XO; this way Aiden has no access to critical areas where he could damage the equipment, himself, or others.
Aiden will also be recieving check-ups every 8hrs if he fails to comply with a single check up he'll be placed in the brig for failure to obey a lawful order and insuborination.
He's no longer attached to engineering cause of the possible side effects of being so close to the core.

The commodore was fatally wounded by several tholians when they invaded the Ayres... The commodore responded well surgury and his body is not rejecting the artifical heart that I had to give him inorder to save his life; if I didn't he would have died. However, the commodore is not out of the woods yet, infact he seems to be going deeper. I might have to put him into a drug induced coma to slowly his body down.
It appears the Tholians have coated/covered their arms in a kind of bioengineered bacteria that has infected the commodore as well as a marine, right now both are on a broad spectrum series of antibiotics though I fear this will only slow it down... I've already cultured blood samples from both victims and now that all the tholians are dead I will have t do an autopsy on them as well... Hopefully by the time I do the autopsy the bacteria will be done going through a series of tests that I hope will tell me that bacterias' "structure" and an idea how to fight it. Hopefully I find the answers soon, I dont have much time until the two... Retire.

Luckily the marine that was attacked by a tholian was released today and returning to duty in light conditons.
The CNS, who sustained a shot wound... I reviewed her medical records and she was released to return to light duty.
Lastly, the CO... Due to his medical condition I cannot release him from sickbay so he has been admitted to the medical ICU, his command status revoked. He seems alittle more verbally combative lately, it could still be the medication talking but I'm not taking any risks... It appears to be centered on my AMO.
To help alleviate further outburts the two are being seperated... I'm now his primary care providor and unless there is an emergency the AMO is not to have any contact with the CO.
He was admitted because of his open heart surgury as well as the bacteria that was in his body... We never came in contact with this strain before so I'm being extra careful because there is no way to know if the bacteria messed with the artifical heart until it stops working correctly!
I ended up ordering the CO and AMO to basically 'shut up' not quite the preferred course of action but it seemed to work, I only said it to keep the peace in sickbay...

Computer, log on...
Well, I finished todays run of physicals right before the mission begins. Speaking of which, while the rest of the crew seems to be excited about making super hero for a pre-warp civilization. I strongly disagree with with this mission. I think the route we're taken continues to violate the prime directive and even though the society is already tainted with our technology... Two wrongs dont make it right.
I was placed with the MCO during the away mission, which regardless of my personal feelings about this mission I still have the hippocratic oath and therefore, I must provide my training to anyone who needs it, I suppose thats what it means to be a doctor? Putting aside your personal feelings and doing what you must for the greater good.
In any sense, at least I'm walking with the MCO and his marines, really thats the only people I feel safe with during away missions ever since..... Yeah, not getting into that, anyways. I would never tell Clyde that, wouldn't want to bolster his ego anymore then it already is ::laughter is heard in the backround::
