Sssstilllll on the pllllanet, we arrre invessstigating a compound we found. Though we have faced ssssome enemy firrre, we made it inssside with out rrrraissssing too much allllarrrm. Thanksss to Darrrriusss, I am now inforrrmed how to find the command ssstaff of thissss pllllace, and have aided him and Doctorrrr Sssshaw in finding a rrrroom filllled with both femalllle and mallle Orrrionssss.
Darrriusss and Sssshaw attacked the grrroup, whillle I attempted to masssk ourrr prrrresssence desssspite Darrrriusss willlld charrrge into the rrrroom. I wasss unablllle complllletellly hide the fact we werrrre therrre becaussse of the charrrrge. In fact, I have neverrr fellllt anything llllike what happened asss he charrrrged beforrre.
It wasss llllike rrrreallllity rrrripped forrr a moment, and I wasss in two pllllacesss at once, then everrrry thing ssstabalized, and I wasss in the doorrrr attempting to firrre on the Orrrrionsss. I managed to knock down fourrrr of ourrr opponentsss, as Darrrriusss took out mosssst of the mallllesss prrresent. Doctorrrr Sssshaw rrrremoved the rrrressst.
We arrrre attempting to corrralllll a high rrrranking officerrr to take them back to the sssship forrr quessstioning I belllieve. Howeverrr, I am jussst trrrying to sssurvive.
It hasss been nice worrrking with sssomeone I do not have to sssspeak to forrr thisss misssssion, asss both Darrriusss and Doctorrr Sssshaw arrre tellllepathic. Perrrhapsss I can find a way to worrrk with them morrrre.

I have accepted the post upon the USS Aryes, and have been assigned to the positon of Science. As that is what I was programed for primarily, I shall be most comfortable here.
During today's shift, I was given the task of analyzing my predecessor's information captured from the ship's scence and tactical scanners. Upon review, I have coorelated that the reason of the Orion attack was due to a new power source.
Probabilities indicate that this is something the Breen or another race are experimenting with, but have not yet fully released. It is a 85 percent probability. Probabilities indicate that it may also be in regards to the chip which was retrieved during a prior mission and turned over to Medical and Science for examination. The examination is not complete, nor does it appear that Medical has had a chance to examine it to date. This is a 35 percent probability rating.

We have continued our route to SB234, though we were intercepted by an Orion Battle Friggate. During the inital excnage of weapon's fire both the Captain and the Executive Officer were rendered unconcious, and taken to sick bay for treatment.
Lt. Jg. Gideon Shaw then left sick bay to take command of the bridge until such time as our commanding officers recovered. He commanded the rest of the battle, which resulted in the disablement of the Orion's vessle, and the preparation of a security away team to transport over.
Though I have been assigned science, during the battle I assumed the tacticle station while our Security continued their interrogation of the prisoners, one of which had been transfered to sick bay.

Continuing with the investigation, Security and a detachment of Marines transported to the Orion ship to collect any survivors after the attack for a more indepth look at why they attacke the Aryes. At the moment, the Orion vessel is locked in a tractor beam, and we are transfering power to maintain their lifesupport systems.
We have recoverd 5 Orions, and are detaining them in separate cells in the brig.
Our captain and executive have returned to the bridge, mostly functional, and have resumed their command.

Upon the captain's recovery, we recieved a distress call to which we responded. We arrived at a solar system under duress. The primary is unstable, with energetic variences between 10 and 30% above normal. This is an indication of the solar going nova. Probabilities indicate such an acton at 99.998 percent in 2.68 years. The planet will remain habitable for 6.28 months, but with probabilities showing an uncorrectable mutation rate of 69.25 percent in 3.21 months.
The crew is currently discussin the probability of immagrating the current population, which would require (remember to copy from log)

Several weeks have passed since I have accessed this data base. Information following is relevant to the most recient mission:
The Aryes had been dispatched to respond to a distress call. The derilict ship was registered on our scans 15.36 light years out, though not identifiable at that distance due to a lack of any transponder frequencies.
As we approaced with in short range scanners, it could be identified as a freighter, probability of origin at 86.32 % Klingon. However, scans still revealed no power, no life support, no gravity.
And away team was dispatched to investigate the derelict hulk in Evironmental Suits. Though I still scan no life signs, we have recieved one survivor to date, directly to sick bay.
My knowledge says this is impossible, however, my data banks do register a theory of personal cloaking devices. Perhaps this is what we are facing. Probability of 1.006% accuaracy.

The probabilities were in correct. It was a type of technology I am unfamiliar with. It somehow managed to cloak the fact that the ship had power, life support, and gravity. Though there were beings aboard, which our away team were able to apprehend for questioning.
Upon finsihing with the ship, we then left for some R&R, of which we have just recieved our next assignment. We have been delayed from leaving by one of the crew playing something called a practical joke on the Captain.
She was not amused, and insisted that the mess be cleaned up before we left.

We have ended our leave on SB234, and begun our next mission exploring the Beta Quadrant. We are searching for a ship requesting rescue. Ship type unknow at this time. Lt Shran and I are beginning to examine the origonal message, and attempting to gain enough information to triangulate a search coordinate to center our search grid on.

We still continue to search for a way of tracking down the distressed ship. Though Lt. Jg. Shran has isolated a section of the Beta Quadrant that has the same emissions as what were recorded in the message, there is still a probability of less than 50% this is the exact point of origin, or that the ship remains at this destination.
We had another scientist working with us tonight, the CSCI from the Pegasus, 2nd Lt. Vraxlis, who presented another possibility to help resolve the message, Lt. Jg. Shran has shown the probability of success with such a method to be sigma approaching infinity of actually accomplishing this properly. The message has decayed by the power of 500.
We still are disecting the message, attempting to find the answers to asked questions.

While we proceed with the research for our mission, though no progress is visible towards success, we have begun training for the event of a survival situation. The situation presented is that of crash landing on a planet in a rainforest environment.
Giving the necessity of shelter the most weight, the team has begun preparations for an unknown stay length. We have torn the shuttle down for the parts immediatly necessary for shelter, safety, fire, and power. Our marines have begun setting perimeter safety precautions. Lt. Weslynes remains as our most observant member, on point.
At the time of this report, we have managed to build our structure, raise it 10 feet above ground level, and support it properly so that it may be safely used by all memebers of the team. It provides 10 square feet of space for each member and an additional 30 square feet for communal purposes.

Begin Science Officer's Duty Log Stardate 65032.66 Ensign Darryl Ironmind Reporting
The Aryes has been ordered to report to a planet suffering the effects of either a natural disaster, or a successful sabotage attempt. Upon arrival, we were placed in orbit, there upon to beging investigations to both possibilities. However, the possibilities were calculated to be a sabotage event.
While the Medical team beamed down with a security reinforcement, he began scanning the planet's crust to determine if the possibility of natural disaster could be removed from the probability list. He did not find any crustal instabilities, which increased the probability of sabotage.
This was further increased after he was instructed to leave the ship with Ensign Reid to investigate the power plant. Calculating risks, he requested Ens. Reid remain outside the perimeter of the plant until he could verify the threat possiblity from radiation.
He entered the debris remaining from the plant, and soon was able to determine that there had been an additional gamma radiation source. Though, small the possibilty was there that a bomb may have been planted, which would have provided the impetuous to overload the power generators.
Investigations continue into the source of the explosion and devistation to the colony.

"Chief Scientist's Log, Stardate 67889.8
Computer, begin recording:
I have been doing a lot of thinking lately. My last conversation with Major Christienne has led me to reconsider certain facets of my personality. Though I still agree with my decision to help when the crisis arose on the planet of Abinian, I do understand her point of view on the matter of me having to disobey orders to do so. The real truth is that I was very set to blow off the little "chat" we had in her office about my behavior until both she and Doctor Devoroh were reported missing after some conference they went to. There was something unsettling about the possibility of my last conversation with Kiele being her reprimanding me for being who I am. Maybe that means I am not totally comfortable with who I am. I am no shrink, but it does lead a guy to think.
The truth of the matter that I came to was that Kiele’s opinion and the opinions of the rest of the crew matter to me. This is an epiphany in its own right. I don’t know if I have ever felt close enough to people to the point where I actually cared about what they thought of me. I maintain I have never been an unlikable guy, but I do maintain my barriers. It’s always been better to have inconsequential and non-committed relationships with people, both plutonic and otherwise, than having to worry about the quagmire that is emotional connections. I suppose I have been with the crew of the Aryes too long. I have begun to think of them as friends, if not something more, and it seems they may reciprocate this feeling. In the shuttle bay, Zila said I was her friend. I believe she meant it unlike so many others who just speak the word because it is an easy and harmless way to classify a working relationship. They actually are my friends.
All of this however is merely conjecture and symptomatic discussion of what the real problem is. If I care about what they think of me and I am starting to be ashamed of how I act to them, than by correlation I am ashamed of who I am and how I act. Though, I do not know if I can bring myself to admit that Major Christienne was correct in her hypothesis about my actions during the mission, she maybe correct at least about my general motivations… At least she is safe aboard the Aryes again…
I have begun to experiment with modifying my behavior around my colleagues to see if it is possible for self control and change, and to see what the responses of my fellow crewmate might be. It is easy to be cavalier, but not so easy to be genuine. I am approaching this like I was would any experiment. If my hypothesis is not correct I will simply revert to my old mannerism and claim I was sick with Ferganian Flu or something. I have a lot to think on.
Computer, end recording."
