Today the ship managed to stay relatively in good condition. There were a few exasperations but none worth noting in log. I was distracted but that was because of personal reasons. The warp drive passed an inspection that was done visually by me and a few other crew Members. That was the part of it we were able to inspect for the drive was used momentarily thought out parts of the shift today. I know that one's job could never be done on a ship this size but that is the challenge to find the thing that is broken or needs repair and then fix it. I will end my log here with the observation that crossing wires with opposite charges is not exactly the brightest thing one could do.

Today was a productive day in engineering. With the return of the Chief to engineering it seams that the ship decided to start it up again with the normal hick-ups of the day. First there were anomalous energy spikes in the transporter. This resulted in the transportation of the Chief from engineering somewhere off the ship. Luckily we were able to fix the spike and the Chief was returned to his post.
After that it was pretty much a holo deck issue that was resolved by a repair team and the Chief went about replacing a power relay that was in need of serious attention in one of the consoles. That caught us up to were we are good to go for yet another shift cycle. I am beginning to think engineering isn't all that bad to work at once one gets use to the constant need to fix something somewhere on this big ship.

I went to my station like normal thinking that the day was going to be ruite...I was wrong. The Chief was shortly after duty called into sickbay. That means I got put in charge of engineering. Shortly after that a repair chief came back with an anomalous reading on one of the power systems. He was puzzled as was I for a while, so I decided that the best course of action was to monitor rather then repair at the moment. Considering that we are in orbit of a planet and where the reading was it would require a shut down of engines but that would not be advisable this far away from friendly waters.
I was then called to sickbay once the Chief returned. I told her about my one day of sickness and she reassured me that I was fine and returned me to duty. I then retired to engineering where the duty shift ended I look forward to the Chief's brief next time.
