Begin recording Ship's counselor's log, Ensign J'den Recording.
To my knowledge, this is the first time a Federation starship has been officially turned over to another government for military use. The Romulans on the crew are very excited to be home, the rest of the crew is very curious about Romulan space. I am personally curious about the Romulans' military structure. It is a historic occasion and I am... content, to be here first-hand.

Personal log, Ensign J'Den recording.
It looks like it might take some time to get a few of the crew members "used" to the idea of being in Romulan territory. I fail to see the point of prejudice and hostility. They are very ilogical emotions, and shouldn't have to be experienced by anyone. However, they take their presence in the minds of quite a few crew members. In my logical opinion, the Romulans are as genuine about this alliance as we are, especially the romulans on this crew.
I am very suspicious about this disabled listening post, something is not as it should be. As of the momant I am not aware of any wrongdoing, but if there is, we'd better find out what it is, soon. End log.

Ship's Counselor's log,
The away team has returned from the Romulan Listening post. We have brought aboard 2 injured Romulan soldiers, who haven't been very cooperative. The majority of the crew is very nervous about being here, but, In time that will diminish. The senior staff is doing very well, and I don't believe we well have any morale issues in the near future.
I have also learned that the Klingons and Romulans keep an eye on each other over the border. They are just making sure that neither side violates treaty. Perhaps the Romulans that we brought aboard have some insight into the malfunction of the listening post... I'm on my way to see what I can find out... End recording.

Ship's counselor's log... There is not much to report. The Romulan patients have returned to their listening post. Colonel stevenson ran a battle readiness drill.. the crew responded very well. I am curious as to how the post got disabled in the first place. The Klingons are still monitoring our presence, which, despite the alliance, has made a great many crew members uncomfortable... end log

Ship's counselor's log...
Upun the discovery of an orion smuggling plot, Lt. Montag Hesitated to speak out on the information she discovered and this leads me to believe she may be suffering from acute stress related anxiety. My official diagnosis will be privilidged information. I'm under the impression, that the cloaked ship crossed into Klingon space, the captain is leaving the problem to the Klingons. End log

Ship's Counselor's Log...
It's my duty to report the limited response time in the operations position. I'm Currently in the process of resolving the situation. We needed to evacuate the Away team from the alien frieghter because of some very hazardous debris. Apparently this is also one of the facsimile's used by the orion trade smugglers. The away team discovered something on the ship with the Initials LOX. To my knowledge, this is either a variation of a very tasty terran fish called Salmon, or the abbreviation for Liquid Oxygen, which was used for space propultion before the perfection of fusion and micro-fusion generators. I suspect it is more than that. Liquid oxygen is an obsolete fuel source, and it needs to be kept at least -200 degrees C, it is very difficult to transport. My suspicions say that it is not what it appears to be..... End recording.

Ship's Counselors log...
It appears that Lt Montag Knew more about this smuggling escapade than she had led us to believe. It appears that her former smuggling accomplice, a Romulan named Juraan, is awaiting execution on Romulus for his criminal activities. It appears that Romulans are extremely intolerant to smuggling. We're following a lead provided by Mrs Montag and tracking the smugglers to their possible point of origin.

Ship's counselors log, stardate 63197...
I have taken my new post as the Counselor on the New York. The Crew is very interesting. The ops officer seems to know quite a bit about this smuggling plot. The captain ::clears throat:: riov, has ordered a full persuit of the so-called traitors. I'm starting to understand the Romulan attitude and motivational skills, but I'd still like to learn more. There's also a trace of thelaron radiation on our sensors which scares the hell out of me. Starfleet Academy's chemestry program described thelaron radiation as a particulate radiation which decompiles organic material at the atomic level. Scary stuff.

Ships counselors log, supplimental,
It appears that the syndicate was a little more dedicated this time. They sent a team to take back their captured leader. We went out and fought, and, thanks to some shelling from the New York, all of the would-be rescuers were killed. I'm not happy about what I've done today. I keep telling myself that their criminals, and that they deserved to die. But that dosen't make it any easier. Now that it's done, I'm a little different. I'm a little more de-sensitized to killing.
Deleete last sentence, end log.

Ship's Counselor's Log, supplimental,
I had a very interesting experience today. I have been orderes... well, asked, to testify at the trial of a Romulan traitor. I have no idea what a 22 year old Betazoid Ensign has to offer at the trial of an already Dead man. Nevertheless I've never been on Romulus.
It's gorgeous. The capitol is absolutely beautiful, and I can say that i'm one of the few Federation citizens to ever set foot on this planet, and I'm in good company. Picard, Data, Spock, Grox. It's an impressive list of names, and I'm proud to be on it. I don't know what the trial will ask of me, but I'll be tough and truthful.
