We have arrived at the Romulan Neutral Zone and met our hosts. The trip to the neutral zone was quite eventful; we had a lot of new star charts to anaylze. Also, Anarra was telling me about how our newest Romulan ensign contracted a virus. I'm not sure what the details are, as I am not a doctor, though. Fortuantely, the Romulans are willing to get proper medical treatment for her, and she was transferred to their ship under medical quarantine.
On a personal note, I am looking forward to my upcoming wedding with great anticipation. ::She pauses to look at her engagement ring again, still facinated at how the jewels caught the light.:: I still have a few last minute details to take care of, however.

We have arrived at a Romulan listening post after picking up some medical supplies at a Romulan star base. Once we got there, Anarra found injured, the engineering team started repairs and Tyler's security team is there to insure the security of the post.
I have been sensing the crews' tension a lot more than usual lately. I think I will need to meditate a bit more often while we are in the RSE. However, most of the crew is getting used to being in Romulan space. Personally, I think this trip is a fun new adventure. I am not the type of person to hold a grudge, so I let bygones be bygones. I do hope that the away team gets back soon, though. I have a funny feeling that something is going to happen.

It turns out that that funny feeling I and many on the crew had was a Klingon Bird of Prey watching us from over the border. We took the injured Romulans up to the ship for treatment. I hope that they have some insight in to what happeded to the LP. The away team returned to the ship after repairing the station and making sure the situatuon was under control.

::She sighs.:: What an eventful week... First of all, a million congatulations to Anarra and Mark on their wedding. I'm so happy for them. I was honored to participate in the wedding, even though Anarra's mother was hesitant.
Last night was also eventful. First off, Anarra treated and sent the injured Romulans back to the LP, after the captain spoke with them. I think they are going to provide us with a full report of what happened. We also ran a battle readiness drill, and according to Colonel Stevenson, we did well.
After our duty shift ended, Tyler and I went to the RR to hang out and ran into Stephanie Fox. Aparrently, she is trying to avoid her father and ran out shortly before he came in. She also hadn't been home in more than a month, even though she just turned 7 today. After much discussion, Tyler and I decided to take care of Steph, because her father can't control her anymore and wants her to have more stability than he can provide for her. I was hesitant at first, because of the complicated emotions involved in the situation, but I love kids and Tyler and I will do our best for Steph.

I found my way to the bridge and was posted at the HELM. After making sure all navigational systems were in the green,I was then given clearance to leave space dock. I manually brought the ship out with thrusters and added impulse only when I was clear of the space dock. I was told to set a course along Klingon neutral zone, and maintain a patrol back and forth. I ran the New York in random patterns and speeds along the neutral zone, when we were hailed and told that a freighter in distress. I was told to immediately set a course to the freighter and get there ASAP. Upon reaching the freighter the TAC officer tractor beamed the freighter back into romulan space. I was then told to maintain current position as an away team was sent to investigate the ship::

I found myself once again behind the HELM console of the New York. I maintained my current position by the abandoned freighter, as the away team searched for survivors and cargo. I ran a quick diagnostic once again on all my navigational sensors, everything was in functioning satisfactorily. It seemed it was going to be a routine search rescue an grab mission, but to our dismay some highly explosive debris was heading our way. We waited until the last second to retrieve our away team, before I was given the order to evacuate the area ASAP. I warped us out, and about 3 seconds later there as a huge explosion, from the once drifting freighter. After patrolling the neutral zone in a random pattern, we were then ushered into the Co's huge conference room, where an award ceremony was about to take place. The Riov has seen fit to promote Yhea to the rank of, let me see if I get this right, Lt Jr. Grade. It is indeed a glorious day for the RSE and the New York.

After doing a quick diagnostic on my navigation controls, I resumed a random patrol of the neutral zone. While patrolling this zone I ran into what appeared to me as a warp signature of a cloaked ship. Upon further analysis the CSCI and OPS charted its course and I began to follow it. The warp signature was radioactive in nature, and while further working in conjunction with the CSCI, I was able to adequately avoid the radioactive patches. The path led me to the very fringe of the neutral zone, and it appears to cut into Klingon space. I am currently at the very edge of the neutral zone, awaiting further orders. I am curious as to whether the Riov will have me penetrate Klingon space in search of the ship, especially if it turns out to be the ship we were pursuing all along.

I find myself once again at the Helm. I think it is pretty fair to say I will indeed be the New Yorks full time navigational officer. I continued following the course plotted by the CSCI being very careful to avoid the radioactive pockets left by the unknown ships warps signature. It got so bad that the XO had to order engineering to re-reinforce the ships shields,as I did all in my power to navigate around the patches. The Co then told me to follow the new course uploaded to my console and to engage maximum warp. I was very meticulous in plotting the new course, and i slowly brought the ship to warp 9. After a half and hour I was then ordered to all stop. I disengaged warp and maintained standard orbit, as TAC, CSCI, and TAC begin thorough scans on ships in the vicinity. I am currently awaiting further orders, hoping that the situation doesn't escalate.

I did my usual diagnostics on all my Navigational sensors, then reported the status to the CO and XO. I was then ordered to head to the new uploaded coordinates in a stealth like fashion. Upon doing so we got a good look at the enemy at hand. The order was giving to the Tactical officer to commence firing and I positioned the New York so the TAC could use the maximum compliment of weapons at the New Yorks disposal. Once our fighters were released I then tried to shield them with the New York, hoping to draw some of the enemy fire away from them. Once the fighters broke off I was then ordered to begin an attack run on the many platforms, which I did. Once one platform was destroyed I inputed a course to another to finally they were all destroyed. I then headed back to my original position, and am maintaining standard orbit, while the crew of the New York assess all damages.

At the start of the mission I found myself standing outside the planets command center awaiting assignment to a team. I was ordered to accompany team two in search of contraband. Upon a thorough search of our assigned area Myself the TAC and CSCI found a cave which happened to contain 3 startled teenagers, who in spite of our best efforts refused to speak to us. I offered them provisions from my pack which they ate hungrily, but still refused to talk. It was around this time that we came across a cache of the finest tapestries and linens that I have ever seen, no doubt hidden cleverly but in haste. We were then ordered to search the cave more thoroughly which revealed nothing out of the ordinary. After our search the Riov them ordered us back to the command center with the teens and contraband that were discovered. After a long walk we finally reached the command center without incident. We then placed the contraband in piles which the TAC was ordered to burn. The traitor who we have been pursuing and who was captured by our other teams, was forced to watch his stock piles burn as added insult to injury. I am currently planet side awaiting further orders.

I once again watched as the traitors contraband was burned in a huge bonfire. I watched for about a half an hour before I went to the command center and helped tally up the estimated value of the burned contraband. I was most concerned with making sure every item was accounted for, then added up each individual piece of contraband. I sat in awe as I checked and re-checked the total sum........ It exceeded 150 million "credits" if you will. After finishing up I headed toward the communications tent, first making sure I was properly geared in case I was needed in the field. I listened in as the away team found the last band of traitors and satisfactorily dealt with them. I then headed to the front of the command center and awaited the return of the away team, to offer any limited medical assistance to the injured that I was able too. We were then ordered to await transport back to the New York, where I immediately relieved the helmsman and plotted in a course to Romulus at warp 6 as was the order. We had a 3 ship escort that I made sure followed our inputted course. Upon reaching Romulus I was given permission to drop the New York into standard orbit, and am awaiting further orders.

As the mission began I found myself once again at the helm of the New York. Upon doing a quick diagnostics on all my navigational sensors I maintained standard orbit around Romulus. I discovered that I was to testify against the traitor(the name is never again to be mentioned). I waited until the assistant navigational officer relieved me and got the mission briefing before reporting to transporter room 2. I quickly did an inspection of my uniform to make sure all medals and service ribbons were correctly displayed, then I checked to make sure my boots were shined properly, while waiting to be transported to the court house. Upon reaching the courthouse we were then told to report to room 12 which was to the west wing and upstairs of the building. (Side note--- I thought it strange that a security detail did not meet us to escort the prisoner, but maybe I am looking to much into things) Upon entering room 12 I took my seat and prepared to watch the proceedings. Our operations officer, Candela Greene, was listed first to testify against the traitor. I learned quite a few things that were unknown to me , like for instance that the traitor used Candela as a slave and made her participate in very illegal activities, which the defense team no doubt used to their advantage. It was evident that the traitors whole defense depended on shifting the blame and using Candela as a scapegoat. (side note--- I feel the trial is a disgrace and the traitor should have been publicly executed for multiple crimes. It is obvious that he has very powerful political connections to even receive the trial in a first place...) I am eagerly anticipating my turn to testify against this criminal if I am needed. I have a thorough items list of all contraband destroyed and the approximate value of said goods.

After watching the trial with some skepticism, I found myself called to testify against the traitor. I approached the stand and was sworn in, eager to help condemn the foul being. I was asked to state for the court the total value of the confiscated contraband and the total number of items burned. After delivering the estimated sum of destroyed contraband, one could almost hear the shocked gasp of the court. I was then asked to state the condition of the teenagers found by myself and Lt. Jaris, and asked if they spoke to me in anyway.(side note- It was evident that the 3 teenagers were abused physically, but I had to relay to the court that the teenagers refused to talk to anyone at that time) I was thanked for my time by the PL and then told that the defense had a few questions to ask of me. I was asked questions like how many times did I review the total sum of contraband and did I have any inclination to steal any of the confiscated items. (side note- It was a clever approach by the defense to shift for the moment eyes off the traitor, to make it look like I did something wrong) I held firm and told the truth, that I did indeed review my finding 3 times, and no I did not have"An Urge" to take anything.( side note- Although I must admit I was in awe at the total value of the contraband, and wondered what it would be like to have that kind of wealth) I was then dismissed and told to re-take my seat, which I did after properly bowing to the court. I then listened in on the rest of the testimony, noting how smug and arrogant the traitor was acting. I kept glancing around the courtroom looking for anything out of the ordinary. I must admit that I was concerned about a possible jail break of the traitor, by his companions, which I am sure have not been totally eradicated, despite the outstanding job the XO and his team did in weeding them out. After a few more testimonies the court reached the only possible verdict there could have been----- The traitor was to be put to death in the slowest most methodical way known to the RSE. With this business put behind us I am looking forward to visiting my family and enjoying the rest of the shore leave giving to us by the Riov.

With the trial of the traitor behind us, it was time to enjoy a much needed shore leave. Immediately after the trial I made sure my assistant navigational officer was fully briefed and understood what was expected of him. I then headed to my quarters where I changed into my dress uniform and straightened up. I then pulled out a duffel bag with the starfleet logo proudly displayed and rounded up the gifts I had for my family. I then properly checked out with the XO according to starfleet protocols and headed down to the transporter room. Luckily for me I had the appropriate coordinates to land me right outside my house at Val Danadex Trel, saving me from having to use the shuttle craft.(side note- I know it isn't proper protocol to use the transporters for personal reason but I really was in a hurry to visit the home of my childhood.) I was immediately greeted by my younger brother and sister who took me inside and bombarded me with all sorts of questions. I answered as many as I could to the surprise of my younger siblings, then I greeted my mother with a hug and kiss. I later found out my mother although happy about my brother and mine success, was very sad feeling we didn't need her guidance anymore. I chuckled at this and assured her that was not the case,(side note- If it wasn't for my mother I would never have landed this officer exchange program detail, for she is the one who taught me to talk Terran) I then greeted my father who was very happy to see me, and commented on how much I grown. Of course he acted like he was a little angry with me serving aboard a federation vessel, but I know deep down he is very happy, feeling I along with all romulan officers are bringing great honor to the RSE. We sat down for a meal that my mother prepared special and I brought out a bottle of that fine single malt scotch and myself, my mother and father saluted the RSE. (side note- of course my father acted like he didn't think the Terran liquor was any good stating that the worst romulan ale tasted better, which I chuckled about that.) After dinner, while having dessert I passed out the gifts to my family, wishing I could see my older brother Maeill. As if hearing my thought, Maeill entered the sitting room where we were having dessert and I immediately greeted him commenting how it did my heart good to see him again. ( side-note- He later informed me he is doing very well, and is up for a command position in the Romulan navy.) I gave my brother a bottle of the fine scotch and we proceeded in drinking the whole bottle as we caught up on old times. I am looking forward to taking my younger brother and sister on a hike along the shore of Val Danadex Trel in the morning. It will do my heart good to feel the sun on my face as I reflect on all that has happened to me in the past 3 months.

I received a transmission while visiting mt parents that shore leave would be cut short.(side note- the New York was needed for an escort mission) I said my goodbyes to my whole family, promising them I would send a transmission whenever I was free to do so. I was then beamed up to the New York and immediately headed to my quarters. upon reaching my quarters I quickly straightened them up, pulling out a fresh uniform and boots. I inspected my uniform making sure that it was indeed up too star-fleet standards, then I took a quick shower. I dressed, changed into my uniform and then secured my quarters. I headed to the lounge for a few drinks while time permitted. I then headed up to the bridge and relieved the assistant navigational officer, logging his report as I did so. I then ran a thorough diagnostics of my own and reported the results, which were satisfactory, to the CO and XO. I was then ordered by the CO to plot a course for Gaius, which I did immediately. I then informed star-fleet high command that we were prepared to head to Gaius. I was told by the CO, once I cleared the shipping lanes we would rendezvous with the other half of the escort team. I confirmed to the CO that we indeed made contact with the other ships of the escort party, and together we headed to Gaius. I checked my NAV sensors, making sure that the New York was indeed headed for Gaius and that we still were in vicinity of the other ship/s. I am currently awaiting further orders.
